  1. Absolutely buzzing for tomorrow, the news of us selling out our ticket allocation - 500? Seen reports of 600 also. Plus PATG. F*cking great effort considering the current climate.

Pinched from the main Rovers thread, and HTC’s Vaughany tune, for the 60min mark when LV makes his appearance -

Also, having not been able to get the Lyndon Dykes song out of my head for weeks after the big man done the double against Ukraine at Hampden ('ooow baby do you know what that's worth, Lyndon Dykes is the best on earth, he's from Australia, who gives a f**k, he's gonay win us the Wolrd Cup')', my brain is now constantly playing this is my head:

Ooow baby do you know what that's worth?
Lewis Vaughan is the best on earth
He slayed the Townies, in the cup
He's gonay take the Rovers up

f**k sake is it not Saturday yet?[emoji482]

    COYR!
  2. Rudi Poussonamy, in fact any of the Anelka disaster fund.
Closer to date, around half of McGrymms signings.
Zanatta as a flop, Keatings as a never played and of course the rapist being the worst probably.
When you think of some of those who took a wage from San Starko it is frightening.
Made Stuart Romaines actually LOOK like Zico!

I don’t think you can say Zanatta was a flop. If it wasn’t for him last season, we would have been relegated.
  3. Tbf, considering Zanatta fucking loved turning up against Ayr after he stunk the place out and moved to Raith, my money is on him scoring for Accies at the weekend.

He loved getting it up former clubs because fans tended to turn on him, from what I can gather.
For me, I don’t think as a whole (could be well off it), that he was disliked by Rovers fans. For me, he was a game changer on his day, and such a confidence driven player. Coming off the bench and trying to have a positive impact rarely happened because his confidence would be low. I would have preferred to keep him than McBride, but maybe because I’ve only seen McBride once (i think), so hard to tell at this stage. Just the fact Hamilton paid money for him is wild.
  4. Absolutely unreal Football the first half, working they triangles so well knocking it about. And then you’ve got the Goals, all excellent on their own merits.
2nd half, which is something I’m glad we’re adding in - was great game management.
Huge opportunity next week, home to Hamilton to really kick us up the table - dinny f*ck it Rovers!
    COYR!

  5. Saturday sees us at the end of the first 1/4, a win gets us to 12 points, hypotheticaly if these results are replicated over the the season we'll end up on 48 points, but finish first 1/4 on 9 points and that were to get replicated then 36 points is the squeaky bum scenario
Surely we're a better team than that, even with some of the duds thats been signed

Q1 is finished. The home game to Cove on Saturday is the first game of Q2. The Arbroath game from Q1 was rescheduled, thus only the 8 games at the end of Week 9.

  6. There is no such thing now as a Stenny Social club. The Ochilview Bar is on Tryst Road, at the corner of the away terracing, and is just a normal pub that will welcome anyone. That space was a Social club like 20 years ago which is maybe where rhe confusion comes from.
The Wee Bar in the ground is the one that's exclusive to QP fans on match day.
Gilmours closed 3 or 4 years ago. Crown is fine for a quiet pint but Ochilview Bar is probably the ideal boozer for away fans coming to the area.
And, yes, QP will be here the full season. Their board just don't want to tell their fans. The usual from them.

The Ochilview Bar is the Social club I was referencing too. Nice one, cheers mate!
  7. Interesting that he’s gone, within a week of Sim’s interview that mentioned players had inbuilt increases in their 2 year contracts.
Anyway probably on a decent weekly wage, and the new manager didn’t fancy him so makes perfect sense for him to move on.
Seen some oddballs on Twitter demanding to know the fee [emoji2369][emoji2357]

Oddballs indeed, they’re on FB & Twitter. Who actually cares about the fee, the fact we got something is better than nothing haha!
With wages freed up, and some unforeseen cash in, that’ll hopefully go a little extra ££ on the wages of the “marque” signing…

Not sure where the spending criticism re Sim is coming from.  We paid 2 x transfer fees last season, virtually unheard of for the Rovers.

What has Sim been "behind"? 3 x Centre Half deals falling through for other/non money reasons? Berra deciding to retire?

If budget has been cut, when you consider a drop in prize money last season, multiple transfer fees and 2/3 year deals handed out, and the loss of 2 x Dunfermlime games, it's a bit simplistic to stick all the blame at the door of Sim.

Sometimes situations arise through multiple reasons that aren't anyone's fault.  There's not always a finger of blame there to point,  as tempting as that is.

Not to mention also the cost of lecky for Club, businesses/football clubs don’t have a cap like households do. Morton released a figure, 325% I’m sure it was, that they’re costs had gone up by. That has to have had an impact to almost every Club outwith the Premier League teams.

  9. Question I hope someone might be able to answer. I’m currently sat in the 35 degrees heat by the pool with all inclusive Tuborg on tap, not to gloat.

Anyway, can I use raith tv ppv livestream for todays game from Turkey?

    Tia

35, is that it? 38 currently where I am in Turkey [emoji3062]
Looking forward to a poxy ~16 at Dumbarton on Tuesday haha
  10. He doesn't want to train full time which is why he left us in the first place so can't see it happening. I would definitely take him back though.

I get the impression that Murray would be much more accommodating to players than McGlynn, if he get they would improve the team.

Murray’s new interview would also suggest that no new players are due in, and it’ll be Trialists for the foreseeable - which is refreshing to hear that Murray will only sign someone who’s the right fit.
  11. See it's rumoured ICT are looking to sign Tumilty. Must not be getting any bites from Prem clubs and it'll be a bit of a pisser if we've not managed to hold onto him if he ends up signing for another Championship team.

Offskie down South, according to The Courier.

On the note of signings, I hope [emoji1593] emoji makes an appearance today…
  12. With regards to Paterson, I’m sure he has a year to go on his deal with Selick. Based on that, and that fact we have Dick (I know, no where near good enough & the fact teams, Ayr in particular, targeted him as our weak link) and Young, I doubt we’ll be paying a fee for Paterson. Especially when there’s a hefty fee getting paid out this summer.

Defenders to be announced, I reckon it’ll be a RB and/or CH, since that’s what we need.

It is refreshing to have a bit of excitement circling transfers where you have no idea who the player is.

  13. I don’t think it’ll be Matthews that will go. If anything, he will be the captain. When Murray talks about hard working players, no one in that team works harder than Rossco.
It wouldn’t surprise me to see Zanatta go. Potentially someone might want to buy Ethan Ross but I doubt Murray would want to lose a player of his ability.

    Also my line of thought.

I reckon it’ll be Spencer and Matthews, as the 2, and it’ll be a mixture of tactics making up the rest

    4231
    Matthews Spencer
    Easton Ross Vaughan (if fit)
    (/Connelly). (/Easton)

Stanton in if it’s maybe a 3 man midfield?

I just don’t get the Brown signing, is he any better than what we have? I haven’t seen him so really cannot comment.

That Ian Murray interview is excellent. Really looking forward to finding out the potential 2 defenders next week.
  14. RT for me to as just as important to get re-signed as Brad. Just like Jason Thomson, he is/was such an outlet down that right hand side. We’ve already lost MacDonald on the left and seen no outlet down the left last season. If he is away, I hope it’s to a Prem club. Someone else in the Championship and I’ll be gutted!
