What sort of view are you wanting for £16 at a Scottish league one ground? Sydney opera House perhaps? The hanging gardens of Babylon.  Herds of wildebeest swinging majestically...

£16 would like to see the players.

  2. Well done Marv. Could see some signs of change like eh.

Great spell before the first half ended. It was silky football.

Good job Airdrie were using their big toes like when they were shooting or it might have been different like eh.

Love the big man in the goals. He had two quality saves and he seems a nutter. Everything you need for a keeper like.

Was pure looking through my fingers the last 30 mins as I thought it was going to happen again.

But we showed we can dig it out.

Keep up the commitment and  improvement.

  3. I update the season stats on Queens wikipedia season page after every game and find this more accurate than the official website that seems to update not so readily.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015%E2%80%9316_Queen_of_the_South_F.C._season

    What an excellent page.

I noticed a really amazing stat. We have had 10 clean sheets this season but only won 11 games. Made me think.

Then I looked through games won and noticed apart from when we play alloa if the opposition score a goal we have never won this season. If the opposition score we either loose or draw.

In all our victories (except the alloa games) we have not concedeeded goals. If the opposition score it's either a draw or a defeat ( except the alloa games).

Don't know what it means but it's interesting.

  4. Oliver great skill with the ball at his feet. He had great potential as a winger. He skinned Lee Wallace when he came on against rangers. Strachan considers Wallace as a Scotland cap.

Harris needs to start on the wing. He has so much pace.

Those two in the correct position will prove to be a massive bonus as we saw against Dumbarton.

Also as I said earlier Murdoch had been a real attacking threat at right back. He adds so much going forward.

  5. My observations from today.

With Oliver's pace and trickery to me he looks a better winger wide right. He caused Lee Wallace so many problems and had shown really well when running at players. Not sure where he was playing to be honest tofay but he wasn't hugging the touch line.

Lyle scored last week and end up on the bench? Come on.

Harris blistering pace down on the other wing and great performances recently get rewarded with a place one the bench.. Don't get it.

Murdoch is a massive threat coming from right back. He can combine with Oliver with his vision and passing ability. He can see more of the game than in midfield. Reminds me of the situation with Paton years ago where he was best at right back rather than midfield.

Having 2 pacey trickey wingers is a huge asset. Why not employ them and take the game to the opposition. Let them worry about us rather than us nullifying their threat.

Bit more luck and we might have won. However I think the manager best himself today not being brave enough.

  6. Playing Danny Carmichael in midfield. Putting Duran on the bench, dropping Holt to play an out of touch Diwie, moving away from 2 tricky wingers to a system the players struggled with.

Being honest McIntyre spoiled our chances that season of a real good go at finishing higher that 4th. He had the easiest footballing job in the UK and decided to tinker. Those first 10 weeks we so painfull. When he decided to go back to type it was like flicking a switch.

I for one will never understand that first 1/3 of that season.

Still it's all in the past now. Hopefully fowler has learned from his mistakes and he can keep the bones of this squad. Lets home he keeps the attacking strategy we have seen the last 4 weeks and we really up or game
