  1. Never said you did, that's why I said I agreed to "most" of your post. I added the "Tayside" chat to add what I had posted yesterday. Yeah they will be playing in a glorified amateur league next season which is a crying shame considering the potential and facilities which Whitburn Armadale,Bathgate and Fauldhouse have. 3 of the above have won the junior cup and between them played in 7 junior cup finals. As I said, I know committee men of 3 of the above clubs and they are very much "junior" men but agree the penny will have to drop at sometime......
  2. Agree with most of your post LTL... One point I didn't make clear yesterday,is i know some of the Whitburn and Harthill committee and someone on the Fauldhouse committee and they actually love the fact there is next to no Tayside travelling now in their season. You start adding Tayside clubs to the EoS and these same guys are gonna have even more fuel to add to their fire, which for me is a crying shame considering the potential and facilities they would bring to the EoS. They may all move in 21/22 in at tier 8 and be reasonably content with it but cant see it happening if Tayside sides get added to the EoS,I work with 2 of the Harthill guys and travel is a massive issue to them. Hopefully Livi United can squeeze in next season,it would be a great boost to have another West Lothian side in the EoS but if not then they're certainly saying it will be defo next again season.
  3. That is exactly it Lad,it was hypothetical. I am from Whitburn that's why they were used as an "example". But as far as how far the ground improvement works have came on at Central park and the potential of the club then that isn't up for dispute. No they dont want to participate yet....,but they are a bigger draw for the EoS than anyone on Tayside is.
  4. Totally understand marten and I know that for the Tayside clubs all that is happening around them must be bewildering. I will say I dont think the HL have been proactive enough in talking to the Tayside sides(as far as I know),yeah they've spoke to the NCL and the NRJFA ,with encouraging feedback from the NCL. But not enough has been done to encourage the Tayside juniors into what the HL has to offer. I was at the Banffshire derby in January,Buckie v Deveronvale, great atmosphere and an all round great day out(apart from the result, lol ) I have been to all the HL grounds and they are good grounds with good facilities and a great day out. Back down here, the facilities at Creamery park,Central park,Park view and the Volly have all been upgraded too in the last few years and are deserving of a higher level but if only the minds of their committees could be swayed!!
  5. It was a hypothetical post marten, this is an East of Scotland thread and as I said far more pressing is having the likes of the 4 big WL clubs that are left in the juniors going on to play EoS football in the near future. But yeah I get your post about your team,a bit of a player drain around you to hope for any advancement up the pyramid. I do feel for the Tayside juniors as they seem to have been exiled a bit,but more pressing is getting the West Lothian junior teams into the EoS.
  6. A more pressing matter is getting clubs the size of Whitburn Armadale Bathgate and Fauldhouse into the EoS,who are 100% in EoS territory. If Whitburn were to join, get promoted to the LL,say gain promotion to League 2,if relegated they would be back in the LL. If Lochee United joined the EOS,got promoted to the LL,say gained promotion to League 2 then got relegated to......the HL !! Mental stuff !!!
  7. How can the SFA give a place in the Scottish cup to the anti pyramid North junior champions yet deny the pro pyramid NCL champions a place( Golspie excluded)!!. How much longer is this farce going to be allowed and tolerated.
  8. Yeah totally agree Bad Wolf, its time the SFA got tough with the north juniors and wheeked their Scottish cup place from them. I can see no reason why you would want to fart about in an organisation that isn't even interested in you.
  9. 100% CZ, Invergordon FC should be champions and should be playing in next season's Scottish Cup. The NCL are keen to get into the pyramid and should be awarded a Scottish cup place for their champions, not just for licensed Golspie Sutherland .
  10. Aye there will be enough clubs,we've got a pyramid system now and there's plenty of life below League 2. The only way George Fraser and Rod Houston should be conforming to 14,14,14 is by getting automatic relegation for 20/21 for club 42.
  11. Wakey wakey sunshine, they are now "Seniors" first and foremost, with the WoS league games and cups plus the Scottish cup taking priority. Some are only keeping affiliated membership to play in the junior cup as part of their tradition/history,already Darvel,Cambuslang,Clydebank and Kilwinning have said it's not for us.
  12. A wee thought.... With the ERJFA declaring the season null and void and thus having no one participating in the senior Scottish cup next season more than likely. Isn't this the time for the NCL clubs to push for their champions(when announced) rightful place in the Scottish cup next season and beyond?
  13. Some amount of bricking it from the League 2 clubs this season,we had the debacle only a couple of months ago of Brechin who on their probable way to relegation were trying to weedle a route into the LL,because they fancied it more, now we have the scandalous 14/14/14 proposal to keep Brora and Kelty where they are for a bit longer. All this before the mighty Auchinleck Talbot show up,cannot wait for the seethe, its gonna be something.........
  14. Yeah Bo'ness United have just been announced East of Scotland premier division champions and with it probable promotion to the LL. Also congratulations to Talbot, not the way anyone would want to win a league, but glad the Wrjfa actually decided on who should be champions unlike the Erjfa. I'm sure Talbot will be in the LL soon and probably beyond.
  15. A massive well done to the BU's !! Get the licence issue sorted in June and with it promotion to the LL
  16. 50/50 pars, some dont mind it while others think it's a farce,it's like playing the ICT laddies in Fort William strips!! Great away day though
  17. Oh look,Tutti Frutti has arrived on the Premiership thread to stink that out as well !!
  18. Who are you sweetheart....,nostradamus
  19. No need for another national league we've already got 4.
  20. Aye they did,but they're not going to lose any sleep over it,especially as they're now League 2 champions and will be playing League 1 football next season.
  21. He's been trawling thru a few threads posting the same anti HL agenda? We're all aware relegation needs to come to the HL,the NCL are keen to join the pyramid under the HL,the NRJFA(tutie"s auld junior pals)less so!! Hopefully it happens all the same
  22. Hopefully Kelty and Brora get promoted to League 2 and automatic relegation is introduced,so the bottom club in League 2 go's down to the HL or LL.
  23. As can be seen from my avatar,I am a supporter of Deveronvale fc,who hails from the central belt. I regularly travel north to PRP and other HL venues to take in games. My last was on the 18th of January to see the Banffshire derby between Buckie and Vale. I have seen many HL games recently and I enjoy each and everyone, apart from the last one lol. Passing through Tayside on the way is a regular occurrence and I can safely say for me as a West Lothian man, that area of Scotland, particularly Angus is in the NORTH. Also for ambitious Tayside teams who reach the HL,now that most of the highland big guns are now in the SPFL,the HL is an easier route up the pyramid.
  24. Millerman there is currently an inter regional cup between the North juniors and Tayside juniors plus the travel north is easy peasy now due to the new AWPR. Also in my opinion I dont see the need to follow the old junior system.
