    Oops.

What should MARE INTEGRATION look like? It's a phrase we hear a lot from the statue-defending community. Should his parents have gone around the street on a regular basis thanking the "good white folks" for accepting them? Most folk on your average street/block of flats/whatever barely integrate any further than a passing "morning" or "awright mate". Why should "immigrants" be held to a much higher standard?

They should stop eating all that "foreign muck" for starters.

My eyebrows are needing trimmed and shaped.
Taking clippers to them made it look like I have alopecia.

Any suggestions? Should I comb them up and cut across with scissors?

Funnily enough, for the 1st time on Sunday my barber used the clippers to trim my eyebrows - No 1 blade.  I was anxious but it worked out fine.  Previously, the barber has just combed up and trimmed with scissors.  Different barber each time, though.

All included in the price of £1.50 including tip - I rejected the offer of a shoulder massage as I was in a bit of a hurry.

Please don't just trust me, make sure someone else agrees!

All EU countries, plus those in the Schengen Area (excluding Ireland) require you to have three months left on your passport from the day you plan to leave. Your passport must also be less than 10 years old on the day you enter the country.

It's not particularly unusual for our wheelie bins to blow over once they've been emptied.  The small food bins once emptied regularly end up well away from where they were left.  Not helped by the bin men chucking the emptied food bins from half way across the road.

I may be at fault for not getting up at 6.30 a.m. to sit at my door to retrieve them but I doubt I'm alone in that.

    Just seen this.

Shouldn't have complained about access to you motor but rather it was getting in the way of another neighbour using their wheelchair.

Bins should be placed at the back of the pavement so there is as much space as possible for pedestrians ad also less chance of them blowing over in a gale.

Would need to be a pretty strong gale and skinny pedestrian for that to happen.

Not really, it was claimed that service cuts played a part in this crime I asked what cuts were to blame as there isn't much offical information on this. Certainly not with the mentioned poster as Trump wasn't mentioned.

I thought you were referring to a previous post of Granny's which had a clear political reference.

No, certainly not. This case is in it's early stages, to get in there quickly blaming 3rd parties with no substantial evidence seems like someone promoting their own politics rather than wait on actual evidence.

In situations like this my first thoughts are ‘mental health issues’.

Might not be the case but after 14 years of constant cutbacks in mental health services I wouldn’t be surprised.

Apparently several police officers had already been assaulted in the incident before hand. Yeah I suppose I'm being quite naive regarding the support as basically it must mainly just boil down to  racism, if this guy was white there would be barely a 10th of the current support for the policeman.

And, if the guy had been white there also wouldn't have been a 10th of the support for him.

This isn't intended as a slight on the victims of this incident but a reflection of where we are at as a country now.

The amount of absolutely blind support  for the policeman I  have come  across on social media is pretty disturbing. I appreciate we all have our breaking point and can lose the run of ourselves but regardless of what the guy is meant to have done there is absolutely no excuse for what the 'action' the policeman took. He is also seen pepper spraying a guy not resisting in other  another video but that's almost insignificant to what he did in the main footage. I found GMP's original tweet a bit ridiculous using the offence as some sort of mitigation/justification as absolutely  ridiculous but it's totally worked for them tbh going by the support.

What was the offence, anyway?  I haven't heard or read what it was.

I'm surprised you're surprised that the police have garnered a lot of support - remember Brexit?

Decades? 2015 was hardly decades ago? We’ve hardly been in the same league since then through how shite both teams have been.

Walking wallets is the term that I use.

2 tier price system everywhere you go. It helps that you can tell them to 'shove it up their arse' in their own language at times 😉

    Similar - walking ATMs!

Many guys here talk about a 2-tier pricing system but where I live it's rare - in fact when getting work done they are almost ashamed to ask for too much from me but will to the wife.  So, unlike many couple here I do the negotiations and they even let me think I've got a good deal!

A case in point - yesterday I needed a wee job done and there was a contractor working 2 doors down.  I asked him to nip over and take a look - he did and just needed to screw something (settle doon Kenneth) which took all of 2 minutes.  When the wife arrived she asked If I gave him something - I said aye, my heartfelt thanks.  (Backstory 1 - she had already paid him before a day's pay for an hour's work so I reckon he owed me;  Backstory 2 - I actually wanted to buy him a beer to say thanks but by the time I was done doing what I was doing he'd already gone home).

Yep, two of the most questions asked by strangers here.

    How old are you?

How much do you get paid?

It's a statues thing, they are sizing up for how much respect they should give you!

As for your mum asking you, I don't see that as a problem.

That would explain why they rubber ear me!

I don't know if it's the same in the Land of Smiles but here there is an automatic belief that all foreigners here are wealthy and they cannot accept this isn't always true.
