Obviously it was a gamble bringing him here which hasn't worked out so far, it might yet. When he was announced coming here didn't hear any criticism from the fans who on the contrary were mainly delighted.
I agree with this 100%. My concern is that there is no way we should be paying any player that kind of money.

Scott Allan can't pass a ball 15 yards so that's the manager's fault. Your clear hatred of DC is clouding your judgement
What would that say about the manager's judgement giving him a 2 year contract on £1800 a week ?

Strange to moan about such a brilliant result. Never pleasing some
Where did I moan about the result ??? It was superb ! FYI score was 0-0 when I posted. Remind me who scored?

Crying out for some creativity and once again Paterson is left on the bench. Give the boy a chance to show what he can do !!!!!
The substitutions are so predictable, same most weeks. Hilson, Craigen and no doubt Donnelly had he been available.

Linn and Ruth instead of Hilson & Doolan for me. Baffling why Bobby is getting splinters on his arse every week.
I'm all for giving the young boys a chance but not sure if today is the right time for the 2 boys signed this week.. Massive game and not had time to settle in. Hope they prove me wrong and have a stormer. Would like to see Stewart getting more of a chance as well.

RuthThis, the tried and tested isn't working. Give the boy a chance.

Bit of a strange one with Ruth, everyone seems to be calling for him to get a chance despite seeing very little of him. Against Heats at home he was really good and thought we had another player on our hands however he simply just hasn't been given a run in the team to really tell if he is good enough at this level at this point.
This sums it up for me. Goals are scarce, a change needs to happen, so give Ruth a proper chance to show what he can do. Otherwise why bother taking him on loan ?
He came highly rated by the Aberdeen support, has played first team football with Queens Park at 16, as well as making an odd appearance for Aberdeen (I think). He looks pacy and direct so totally different to what we have at the moment.
Kind of agree about Smith. He hasn't had much of a chance but has struggled to get into the game when he has come on. Mostly coming on as a sub late in the game could be a factor though.

Scott Martin, Josh Skelly, Matty Smyth, Jassem Sukar, Jason Brown & Robbie Mutch were all given game time to prove their worth under DC, so that’s not entirely true. Our use of the loan market is pretty poor. Only Miko and Scott Martin have made any significant impact.
Recently Campbell and Stirling from Hibs hardly featured, Chalmers even less (if at all) but plays for Dundee Utd in Premier League, Smith not had much game time. Ruth has scored goals with Aberdeen development and reserve teams but is played out wide in the little time he has had, despite us struggling badly for goals.
Not much point bringing in loan players from Premier League clubs unless they are going to improve the team and are given a chance to show it.

Totally agree Simon, commentators must be watching a different game to me. For me Dick seems to have a blind spot with Hilson. Outstanding free kick apart offers very little. I would have Ruth starting. He's looked dangerous when he has come on.

Early days but worrying signs already. Ross County aside we have been poor against Stirling, not much better against Montrose and Raith look in a totally different league. Hopefully things can only get better.

Swankie was superb for the first half of that season. Samuel signed and he hardly kicked a ball the rest of the season. Played well in the play off game at home to Dumbarton but we couldn't find the net.
