Fully expecting East Fife to come along and rain on Stennie’s parade this Saturday!!!

The Methil Milan are flying at the moment and that’s even with the enforced absence of Fash and Brogan Walls (done in by the close attentions of the Peterhead hammer throwers) and whereas a fortnight ago we were probably fearing the worst with their absence, what we have witnessed though has been something quite different, we have now seen players raising their performance levels quite remarkably. Shepherd is leading the line superbly and put in another fine game on Saturday and Jamsie Lyon on the right wing has finally found his position and has ripped his markers a new one in the last few weeks and has also turned into a very noticeable goal threat and of course Jack Healy, who has finally become the Jack Healy of old, after a pretty poor season so far by his standards and of course, the Jack Healy of old really, really likes to score a goal against Stenhousemuir. Yes, we miss Fash, who wouldn't? But his absence hasn’t been as noticeable as it was originally feared. And in midfield Kieran Miller has shone, having no Walls has meant Connor McManus having to move forward into that role and Miller has slotted back into the holding midfielder position like he has never been away and cementing it with his MotM performance Saturday past!!!

Stennie are flailing, stuttering and stumbling over their inevitable finish line of becoming crowned champions, they will do it, but it’s going to require a different Stennie showing up this Saturday that has been on display in the last few weeks, especially against the in-form team in the Division!!!

Stenhousemuir have the incentive to win the League in their own patch, but East Fife have the incentive of having to win to keep in touch with The Spartans and Dumbarton, we’re running out of games and we have to keep winning to allow us to be able to capitalise on their inevitable mistakes, they won’t win their last five games but we probably have to win ours!!!

The game should be a cracker but will probably be a 1-0 victory to whatever team scores first!!!

Well done for being positive. We can’t be having any negativity amongst us can we?

To be fair we did get Gordon Marshall and did we not also get Stuart Burgess from them at the same time.

Also remember winning promotion against East Fife we needed to win or draw to go up and we drew 2 each, that pitch invasion was great

Think we had to win that day to go up.

Was that the game that Alan Irvine scored for you?

He eventually ended up at us and was brutal!!

Aye but I doubt they aren’t going to be offering him small wages to stay?
Teams will be taking note and offering big money.

Just look at how crazy it has all become with teams offering guys funny money. Certainly glad I have nothing to do with it as I would be losing it seeing how much some of these guys are asking for.

    Big Money?

I never quite get the slagging ex players ( Nobby Barr and Wincey excluded) The 2 mentioned were art of our championship winning squad, and should always be remembered for that.

Agree. Both were excellent players for us and a crucial part of our squad. Don’t really see any merits in slagging them off.

  5. An unlikely win at Montrose on Saturday will just paper over the cracks.

Darren Young has been a horrific appointment and his record so far confirms that.  Yes, he should have been given time given the circumstances when he took over but he now has his own team and it`s still just like a mirror image of what we have seen before. I have no doubt that any other club would have fired him by now.  He was given a 2 year contract based on what??   Ask any Albion Rovers fan what they think of him and I`m sure the majority don`t rate him.

It`s the same old tired excuses from him all the time. EFTV should save themselves the bother of interviewing him and just pick an interview from a previous game.

The club are haemorrhaging fans by the week as people are not prepared to spend hard earned cash watching garbage.  1/3 of the fans present at the game were following Arbroath. Yes, Arbroath!!

The Board surely have to look at this absolute mess, admit they made a huge mistake and make a decision ASAP!!

Surely even a half fit squad missing Kevin Smith and other with knocks can beat Cowdenbeath tonight they are in that league for a reason

Lets go for it with Currie Dowds and Court all playing and bang in the goals for confidence to take into Saturday

    No chance will that happen!

How may did DY play up front against Brechin who hadn`t won a league game in over 470 days?

I`m just waiting on the comment from the "Manager"  of "We set up the team to match and contain Cowdenbeath"

    Tick, tock, tick, tock..................

Disappointed to see us only go with 1 up top tonight in Court thought we might have seem him and Smith up there together as this is a game we should be looking to win along with Forfar on sunday

Darren Young playing 1 up front?  Who would have thought it!

I just find it distasteful that injuries are used as an excuse to get rid of 2 players who did their best for the club. Just say they are freed you don't have to  lessen their chances of another club by brandishing them crocks

Maybe that wasn`t the real reason they have left?
