Some glorious trolling of Alex Rae by Tam McManus when Connor Sammon scored.

Enjoyed the show Friday night some good coverage of the Championship/Raith v Ayr game plus a very revealing chat with Tam McManus on mental health.

Thought Tam McManus spoke very well on Kenny Miller’s injury last night was interesting to hear that he had the same injury. By sounds of it a bad one and will probably finish his career.

Tuned in today and most weeks. Lack of Championship coverage as stated by a few on this thread is poor never chat about that league either before KO or in the half an hour or so after full time. Tam McManus the best on Open All Mics by a mile. Knowledge of most teams even the smaller ones pretty good and has a bit of banter too. Also like Derek Ferguson yes hes not Shakespeare but at least sounds genuinely happy to be at a game and getting paid for it which is not a bad gig.

Just tuned into the podcast. Thought Spiers was bang on Smith was predictably against it he must have known about this in his time with the SFA? McManus rattled on a little about the runners up to EBT Rangers getting the titles/cups but Im not sure that is even the issue with most fans they just want Rangers not to have won them. Towards the end of the podcast was a bit lighter and some very entertaining stories on pre-season by Tam in particular.

I think What mcmanus was trying to say was if you are tackled or clipped in the box then you are entitled to go down if it's a foul I don't see the issue with that. I thought he was bang on with the whole debate spoke very honestly.

Aye, and to be fair the likes of Tam Mcmanus were shite the first time round as well. Need to stick with them as it's not the easiest set up to join in with and Tam's now one of my favourites on it.Agree with this I tuned in on Sat and thought he was very shaky but it can't be an easy thing to do if u have never done it
Tam mcmanus is brilliant on it now I feel has really freshened the whole show up but he was shite at the start aswell .

Judging him on one header now? Can his headed winner at Old Trafford for Blackburn not cancel it out?
Stick this guys getting is incredible.
If I was Hanley I'd find it incredibly insulting to see some of the names suggested to play over me after the career he's had in comparison.
STILL 24 years old. 183 appearances for Blackburn in the EPL and Championship, captained them, 27 caps for us, now at a huge club that paid 8 million for him and some people think he couldn't cut it up here.
Hes been horrible for Scotland. 8m! Fuckin Blackburn robbed them. He's Hopeless.

It's a complete waste of time asking anyone still involved in Scottish football if they think Strachan should go. You'll hear the same mealy-mouthed cliches every time.
"who could do a better job?"
"you can only work with what you've got"
"he still has the support of the players".
Thank god for the likes of Tom English, Tam McManus and the fine people of P&B.
English owned Jackson the other night on Sportsound he was a gibberish wreck when asked why he wanted everyone out bar his wee pal GS and Tam mcmanus is the only current or ex pro I have heard speak out against Strachan and say we should be doing better with the players we have that will be him blackballed in coaching no doubt but his honesty is so refreshing among the cliches of his ex players Boyd calwell etc.

English calling out Keith Jackson.
"First time I've heard you Keith list the failures of a manager then back him to stay but, I get it, he's a contact of yours, that's ok."
Keith seething. Good stuff.
Had keef on toast

This clamour to cap Championship players just because they play for a 'big club' is dreadful.
John Baird has been prolific in the Championship for years. Should he be capped?
Conrad Balatoni was an absolute standout for us in that division and seems to be doing very well at Ayr. Is he the answer to our defensive problems?
Laughable nonsense.
Darren McGregor was superb for St Mirren in the premier league that's why he got a move to Rangers. He would get into 5 or 6 teams at least in the Premiership so I don't think it's that bad a shout. He is very aggressive quick and can head the fckin baw

I've stopped listening
Also I'm not buying this Tam McManus at all, was a massive fan of the B team idea and yesterday suggested playing Kingsley and Patterson as our starting centre halves. When someone called him out on it he said 'well we haven't tried it what've we got to lose' or something along those lines. Constantly speaks shite IMO.Kingsley has played in the Premiership for Swansea at centre half and Patterson is the best defender we have in the air by a mile attacks the ball superbly. Why not give them a chance the next few games we ain't gonna qualify anyhow and have been horrendous at the central defence they are young and hungry can't be any worse than Hanley who is honestly the worst centre half I've ever seen play for Scotland and there's been a few heid like a 20p piece

Personally really enjoyed Mills view on Barton. Actually enjoyed the Weds AND last nights shows

Good show tonight Danny Mills was excellent on Barton IMO and Gary O'Connor interview an eye opener seems decent guy and not what I thought would be. Amusing little bit at the end on him by Tam mcmanus who played with him at Hibs

Enjoyed Open All Mics today was a good show. Genuinely can't understand some of the criticism of Tam Mcmanus honestly think he is superb and a breath of fresh air for that show.

I get the feeling the guys on championship games are often told to keep quiet unless it's a goal, he was pretty quiet on OAM, which i quite like listening to, I think there are too many guys who have been on OAM for ages that McMAnus doesn't feel confident to join in the 'banter'. MCManus must be a decent enough journalist his blog recently has proved to have some interesting insights to the Scottish game.
http://www.tammcmanus.com/single-post/2016/09/23/A-Trialist His blogs are superb reading to be fair. I agree he can't get a word in edge ways at times but when he does he's worth listening to IMO

Tam is excellent his knowledge of the players especially in the Championship is very good and unlike many of the others seems to be enjoying what he is doing. Some of the others sound as if they would rather be out with the wife shopping than be getting paid to watch football on a Saturday.
