How much further can we fall? We’re in trouble and looking more like a part time club next season with little or no chance of getting out this league. There’s no sign of any green shoots of recovery, if anything we’re going backwards.
Nightmare situation for the new board but they’ve taken the challenge on and need to show they can make the difficult decisions. They’re fast running out of time.0 -
Do you not know the answer?
I don’t even know what some of the options are! [emoji23]1 -
But you can fill it out anonymously if you wish so the end result is the same
Not the point, the option should be there.-2 -
Mandatory questions from the SFA for club licensing purposes. You can choose “rather not say”
No you can’t.0 -
SUPPORTERS SURVEY
The club and FSS are co-operating on asking all of our supporters what they want from the club, how they think we might improve things and also finding ways to promote equal opportunities for all in our day-to-day activities.
The survey can be found here - and you do not have to be a member of FSS to take part in it.
https://falkirksupporters.org/falkirk-fc-fan-survey/
FSS will release the results of the survey at a later date along with details of how the club will try to implement the views of the support.
Would have happily completed the survey until the end. Why do the club need to know my sexuality, religion etc.?-3 -
It’s not just the team, we can’t even run the website.

Signing imminent

Ian Fergus is followed out the door by Ronnie Bateman. What’s going on?

Crowd restrictions lifted[emoji1303]

Just as we thought things were going to get better we’re stooping to new lows. This has become an absolute shambles.
Regardless of anything that’s happened we need some clarity from the BOD to clear this up now.2 -
I've got to disagree there and I wouldn't agree with it but the club would move on just like it always has. whilst on here the vast majority are against it it's probably more like 50/50 or even 60/40 in favour over the whole support.People will stop going perhaps some may never go back others will depending on how the club is doing or if he leaves. Bods and players come and go but the clubs bigger than either of those sets and will continue to exist even if we sign goodwillie. Some mistakes in the past have threatened the whole existence of the club .
In my opinion signing Goodwillie will threaten the existence of the club. His signing would impact massively on our ability to attract sponsors.1 -
Signing Goodwillie would be the single biggest mistake by any BOD since the formation of the club. I sincerely hope this remains a rumour without any substance.

Yes, but who signed him? [emoji848]0 -

Is that the 7-5 game against QOS? If so, that was in 1969. One of the best games ever. My avatar is Johnny Graham scoring the 5th in that game.
December 63 was the 7-3 against Clyde with Hugh Maxwell scoring all 7 goals
The QOS was a brilliant game, games like that would get the fans back.0 -
They did and L1 and 2 decided not to ask for postponements -https://spfl.co.uk/news/spfl-press-release-48140
Of course we don't know what if anything was on offer about extending the season or whether games were going to have to be played asap after the league recommenced or what happens if there was an extension of the crowd restrictions.
I agree with your general statement about the SPFL being a bunch of idiots.
I'm surprised the club havent issued a statement of their own since they issued this, may have got lost in doing the ticket allocation stuff for this game - https://www.falkirkfc.co.uk/2021/12/22/club-update-11/?fbclid=IwAR3GIBuvjjtljUnMbjZqUfk2mgXVb2YD4coTtdnmDpJTYD6uoSO26pxmXPw
Unfortunately Falkirk’s the big loser in this given the match income. Most of the clubs struggle to get 500 fans so it makes no difference to them. Very little coverage of how the decision was reached if even if there was a vote.
We just have to accept and get on with it.0 -
Was only commenting on what was said by someone else. Happy to stand corrected on the number but it was the government website that said as of the week ended the 19th of December 392 patients were admitted to hospital and yesterday 540 were being treated in hospital.
Anyway the point I was making was about the clear rise in cases and effort to mitigate people gathering and transmitting it as much as possible.
Same time last year we had 1025 in hospital. Given the hysteria from the government and media I’m not sure even with the new variant we’ll hit that this year. Hopefully I’m right.
If we don’t I see no reason that the 500 spectator limit is increased for our next home game. [emoji1694]2 -
540 as of yesterday which is a 38% increase from 3 days prior. If allowed to continue and the rate stays the same then it will be over 1,000 by New Year. Hospitals and other emergency services are facing staff shortages due to cases too so not even just a case of people becoming seriously ill but key workers having to isolate. That’s not even including people with other illnesses who desperately need treatment.
This is why I believe the club do deserve criticism for not being better prepared for a very likely scenario and as a result inviting fans to congregate at the stadium in large numbers to get tickets. I’d have sympathy in 2020 but almost 2 years on we should have proper contingencies in place.
3 days ago we had 516 people in hospital. 38% increase you said, I suggest you check your maths.2 -
Just back and tickets all gone now.
Out of interest were they taking details of everyone who got a ticket? If not does that not mean it might be the same faces who get tickets for the next restricted game.
Surely fairest way is to take details of all who got a ticket today so that next time anyone who missed out today will get first dibs on the next game
Taking the details so those who queued from 4.30am are guaranteed a ticket for the next game.-1 -
Seeing as how you find the solution to be simple, you must be an 'expert' too then?
You flatter me.1 -
I see the ‘experts’ are out in force! Easy solution to the 3 weeks, just postpone all the games and extend the season. Simple really.

The SPFL should cancel the games for the next 3 weeks and extend the season to accommodate. They must have dialogue with the clubs regarding this and other suggestions now. It’s just a pity the SPFL are an incompetent bunch of idiots.

Behind closed doors? Wales have already announced it from Boxing Day. Hopefully we don’t follow suit, but won’t be surprised.

Does anyone seriously think signings made in January will not be approved by Martin Rennie and his assistant?
All this talk about whither Gary Holt should stay or go is an unnecessary distraction when we should be looking forward to a new future with a new BoD and team management.
As supporters we can play our part in whatever way you can and help lift the feel good factor of the club. We need to all pull in the same direction.4
