One of the best commentators I have ever heard at Falkirk games was in the Brockville Stand in the early to mid 80's.
Guy came in every home game with a couple of blind people and sit a couple of rows behind me and commentate on the game for them.
Described the crowds, weather line ups and pre match build up etc. His match commentary would knock the socks of anything you would hear on the radio and TV.
His command of language, tone of voice was so impressive.
Never talked to the guy but know all those around him held him in high esteem.
    Enough said !
    Anybody else remember him ?

Yes. Think his name was Jim waddell. The blind man who was there every week was John Stewart and was a great character who genuinely knew more of what was going on than most of the crowd. I remember times BBC kicked them out of their seats and the commentary was never half as good.

His name was Alec Waddell , known to as uncle Alec,  he would get us in for free back in the mid 70s

  2. It is still in our own hands. If we had been offered that when McKinnon was appointed. Every one of us would have said ' will take that ' So lets keep out position in perspective.
We must win our 3 home games. No  but's, what if's. Our whole season hinges on these home games. If we get 2 points from the away games, well that's a bonus.

    Still in our own hands?
Thistle 6 games to play 18 pts max
Us 5 games to go 15 pts max
    Am I missing something
  3. Hartley is a shit manager but not a shite coach. would probably work with a DOF if hamilton could go down that route
Oh yes he is (shite coach) , ask any player who he fell out with during his spell with us, or any player he brought in for that matter, I implore your board to do due diligence on this imposter before he ruins yet another club. He should never get a gig in paid for football again.

Almost just as worrying as the performances on the park & what is coming from the dugout is the sheer sense of complete and utter apathy from the stands. Yesterday both teams managed to quell any potential unrest from the terraces by delivering a coma inducing performance. We were a Brechin goal from going bottom and the players left to some applause and the manager walked away thinking job done. Unbelievable stuff.

    This

Apologies to the supporters for my rant at the end of the game , hadn't realised that  at the time Dumbarton had spared our embarrassment
