As bad as the scenes after the game were (and there'll certainly be repercussions), I find the idea that it's somehow "tainted" the victory, overshadowed it and "everyone will forget what happened before on the pitch" from some media figures to be a bit ridiculous. Hibs fans certainly aren't going to forget the game itself, and I doubt many others will either. Disappointing scenes, aye, but it doesn't change the game beforehand at all, and it's a bit silly to suggest that it does.

Agree completely. As a neutral watching, it was a great game with a sensational last gasp winner. That's what I will remember about it not some dafties having a few minutes of handbags after the final whistle.

I look forward to The Rangers issuing a statement condemning the "goading and threatening" and "thuggish" chanting of their fans throughout what was otherwise a tremendous Cup Final yesterday.

Congratulations to Hibs in what was a thrilling victory. Would have been a great way to win any final but the circumstances with Hibs just made it incredible, Grays winning goal will live long in the memory.

 

Some Hibs overdid the pitch invasion going down to the other end but given the sectarian filth that was coming out of there during the game, I don't really blame them.
