Has smoking in taxis ever been considered a normal or acceptable thing to do? I seem to remember people smoking on the old GNER trains, and I'm fairly sure I've seen ashtrays in the back of bus seats but I can't imagine it being okay to do so in a taxi.

Yeah with advance tickets you're normally £10 a ticket, so depending on the actual cost of the ticket you may be better just chucking them. Unless you know anyone that would like to make the journey you have booked that would buy the tickets from you of course.
This was the exact impression I got from watching him last night at the development game. He constantly tried to take players on when there was multiple better options, completely ignored his own team mates and then decided to lash out at a Motherwell player after being take down with a fairly tame trip on one of his attempts to take on the whole team.
I would have thought Kolo Toure was the highest paid player, although I wouldn't be surprised if him, Sinclair and Scott Brown are on fairly similar wages.
