They're grooming Maybury for the role when Houston departsI dunno tbh, they seem to be trying to boost McDonaugh's profile a bit, could be him.

How will Falkirk cope now that the superstar, Sibbald, has finally moved on to bigger and better things for hundreds of thousands of pounds?
Idk tbh, we'll probs just resign him then win the league

Its by far not an Alston comparison at full back, tho sure Alston was carrying an injury at Raith that day...
Alston is an out and out midfielder, its like moving Kerr to centre half and slagging him for it. Hippo could handle LB easily imo.

I remember him having a good game at left back for them at tfs a couple of seasons ago. Was their best player by a mile.
Remember the game also, was very solid for them in that position, quite obvious we want him on the wing but its not a bad back up if needed

Will folk stop trying to push Hippo further back please. The guy wants to play further forward and proved against Forfar what he can do.
Dont think anyone wanted to push him back, someone was just stating a fact that he can play left back if required.

Who does Dykes go about with that could potentially be an issue??

Personally I'd prefer to see us roll over and let you win 4 times to keep Dundee Utd downYou've been rolling over since 2011, why stop now eh

you may well be correct but for the bulk of the last two seasons he has played down the left. i would like to see him in the no 10 role in our new look team, he was after all iirc our top scorer last season so he is not all that merde.
dont get me wrong both mckee and craigen are decent attacking players too and mark kerr when on form just bosses the midfield unfortunately last season he went through a bad patch so got shot down on here as you would expect from our drama queen support. oh and theres always tommy t.
guess well see what with injuries and all that what combo works best
Think the names you mentioned just show the depth we have right now with current performances, i'd love to see him back even just to get the send off he deserves but he would really need to compete for the jersey.

We will see who's 'source' is the best then
In all seriousness after seeing the team so far I wasn't too fussed about Sibbald but if your right and there is no more coming in then I hope he signs for next season. I still think that could happen to be fair.
Fans didnt seem impressed after his friendly last night albeit was only on for 30 minutes, suppose it's upto them tho.

Need to start having a youth defender on the bench then, along with whatever cb we're leaving out. Any decent prospects?
Finlyson i'd assume.

There were times he burst through yet it would take a wonder pass to actually reach him. Houston has a plan for him obviously. I'd have let him go instead of given him a deal. Having both Shepherd and O'hara at the club at the same time might hinder both of their development.
Agree on that, for me O'Hara was the half time sub, it's like he's offered Sheps this deal now he is trying so hard to make it work, season in League 1/2 to try and get some form of confidence in him and come back next year to fight for a place.

Wouldn't read too much into that: the lad at right-back isn't a right-back (he's a highly-rated DM/CH and has little first-team action so far), and Irvine is horrendous at left-back. One of many improvements that took place last January was the arrival of two LBs, so Irvine moved to RB.
At the very least, Stelios will be back from suspension so Irvine can move to RB again.
fs fine, 2-0.

Going from the Partick game your fullbacks are guff, Hippo and Harris to run riot in a 1-0 loss.

They had a lot of the ball but I was never really worried of them coming back into it tbh

All round good day, comfortable win against a team who should be challenging up the top with us and Saints getting their arses handed to them too.

I think we are looking at our first team for this year, I'd be more than happy with that.
