So did we! Perhaps another of the hangovers we tend to get after good cup results. 3 points from 12 is simply not good enough though but I'm hopeful Murphy and the boys can turn it around. It's still early. What's going wrong? I thought Annan would be on fire this season.0 -
Annan were very poor today. We looked completely out of steam in that second half. You could see that defeat coming a mile away.

Any trialists for Annan today?First PSF played today down at Raydale. Annan coming from behind twice to draw 2-2 with Morton.
Nearly had a coronary when realised Brian Schwake ( ex Edinburgh City) was in goals for them.0 -
Good player at our level so I'm happy to see the lad stay on.Are you happy or sad Jim ?0 -
Aidan Smith has re-signed for another year.

Midfielder Josh Galloway has signed.

Alex Mitchell has signed for Blyth Spartans.
Finally got the dial up connection restored and think the time is right for a new thread for the Galabank Galacticos!
Looking to forward to the new season starting (once the euros are out of the way) and really believe that this will be a league that any team can win , or finish as team 42. Would hope to see us challenge up top and our form certainly improved at the tail end of the season once we finally won a game at home.
On the playing front so far the ones that have put crayon to paper are
Defence
Cammy Clark – Matty Douglas – Jordan Lowdon- Steven Swinglehurst
Midfield
Owen Moxon – Jack Pardue – Lewis Hunter – Kyle Fleming – Dominic Docherty
Forwards
Tony Wallace – Aidan Smith – Tommy Goss- Ian Anderson
No keeper signed up yet but can't see any reason for Alex Mitchell to go elsewhere , unless his day job commitments interfere.
Happy with new/improved management team of Peter Murphy & Colin McMenamin. In fact delighted to see Colin return to Galabank back to where it all started for him and am sure that he will help the young uns up front. Wondering if they will both register as players ? their combined experience at different ends of the park could prove invaluable .
Pre Season Friendlies
Three BCD games lined up against Atherton Colleries - Dalbeattie Star – Queen of the South. Surprised to be playing Queens when we have got a "proper" game with them in the "dontknowwhatitscalledthiseffingyear" trophy but hey ho...
Anyway looking forward to getting back into games - socially distanced and masked up- and after being three down at half time would much rather spend the second half in the club!0 -
Max Wright signs on at Galabank for a third spell.

Some excellent points particularly regarding the introduction of the ex-junior teams into the league pyramid. They will be breathing down our necks soon enough not to mention those from the Highland League. It's only a matter of time before teams like Kelty Hearts and East Kilbride - who seem to be well financed - are promoted.
If the last year at Annan has proved anything it's that we cant compete financially with those around us at the moment. We lost some important players in the summer and unfortunately those who replaced them haven't really clicked at all. The same story seems to apply at those around us like Queens and Stranraer. I think over the next decade teams in this area will find ourselves playing at much lower levels.1 -
Annan were absolutely bloody awful today. Deserved all we got from a far steadier Stenny. Murphy needs to pull the nose up soon or we're going to be in that dogfight. The last 3 home games we've been embarrassed every time.

Alcohol is usually required to dissect the alleged game of football that we've just witnessed. That we are still in a playoff spot is astounding. Our defence at times seems to struggle. We lost Mitchell in the summer and Pete Watson not long after. The partnership they formed with Swinglehurst at the end of last season was the best I've seen us defend in years. We need at least one more striker to help Nade and Muir and hopefully Flanagan can provide the creativity and boost our chances of securing 4th.
We do most of our moaning in the bar after the games.

Aye we had him on loan for a few months. Mostly made sub appearances I think but seemed a decent player.Think it was a couple of years ago, but do any of you remember Cameron Salkeld playing for you lot? We've signed him for this coming season. Was he any good?2 -
Think we've got a cracking player in McLean. Hopefully he can weigh in with a few more goals this season.Scott McLean looked decent last night, hat trick et al0 -
He's signed on for another year. Always looks a good player when he gets a game. How's big Ayrton Sonkur doing for you? Known him since he was a boy, never saw anyone, at his age then doing all the right things the way he did. An incredibly hard worker who deserves everything he gets.1 -
Fiver! How much to get in tonight?1

Felt we were marginally the better side tonight at Galabank. We really could've picked up the pace at times. Very happy with the two goal lead going into Fridays away tie. It's ours to throw away.
