    Aye no bother 😅

Just you boys down the valley keep on paying off wee scullion's mortgage  for him with very little return. ( apart from the odd world class free kick )😆

Aye and their getting rarer and rarer. Your right he's our top earner but he was on less than half Monti was on. We cannae afford film star wages. If anybody deserved an over the top wage this season it was James Marks (Slick) Top scorer in the division at 40 years old.

Gartcairn will be gutted, dominated for long spells and hit with two sucker punches right at the  death.

    Aye Right.

No domination at all in this game. Kilbirnie better team 1st half and unlucky not to go in ahead. Gartcairn better team 2nd half outmuscling our inexperienced central defenders. A draw would probably have been fair result but Scully's exquisite free kick deep into injury time was a bonus. Think its Johnny Sox who is gutted having predicted the demise of a team in crisis just a few weeks ago.

Giving yourself more games , more travelling you have a big chance of getting an away game up north in the early rounds which are not cheap playing against teams who are not quite up to darvels standard meaning more injuries ? So voluntary putting yourself in this position will hinder your ambition to win the league .

    Like Tranent?

The stand is in a great position for viewing while sitting, but it means you can't view the whole pitch while standing anywhere along that side. It's very restrictive in that aspect and pretty much removes almost a third of the total viewing area for standing spectators.

In an ideal word it would be moved back away from the touchline and rebuilt on a raised platform. But I'm not sure if the refreshment and toilet cabins would then get in the way. Also I imagine it would cost an astronomical amount to cover or move in the first instance and at this level every penny is a prisoner.

For a 2 or 3 year old ground I'm sure you'll agree it's not bad though.

There was hardly any terracing at the old Abbey Park either though - a raised hill with some sleepers covering half of one side, a covered section behind one of the goals and some recently installed steps behind the other.

Aye your right about Abbey Park but the Kop section behind the goals was a pretty good vantage point. My granny used to live in Ladyford Avenue so I have a soft spot for the place even though I'm a Ladeside supporter. Back to Buffs Park, could they not move the barrier on the seated stand side nearer the pitch. Think that would help and there is a wee natural slope there.

Buffs seating open for the first time yesterday. Enclosure along the touchline now roofed. Atmosphere around the ground improved. Hub building and match day bar now in full swing. Onwards and upwards.

Unless you sit in seated stand you cant watch the game and see the whole pitch from that side of the park. Also no terracing in any part of the ground so unless you are right up against the barrier or are 6'5" once again you cant see the whole pitch. Watching Clydebank's game on telly on Monday night after being at Kilwinning on Friday night and at present would much rather watch a game at Holm Park than Buffs Park. Just doesn't seem to be designed very well for the spectator IMHO.

Aye should be role models just like Kilbirnie fans emoji1.png

This is nothing to do with fans. I have never said Kilbirnie fans are perfect .I will say the Ardeer young team were fantastic that day and did their team proud. Apart from the boy running about with the corner flag after the game. That was a bit daft. This is about professionalism and not going onto a tantrum like a big wean. We would have needed Supernanny to calm down him down and stop him kicking out at everybody within reach. Showing my age here but he was like Baby faced Jim Breaks from World of Sport.

Correct, the "match must be abandoned when you've less than 7 players" thing is a myth. It is entirely at the referee's discretion. I think I recall a Pollok game which was played to a finish when one of the teams was reduced to 6 players with only a minute or so to be played. I also remember the Hearts chairman making a total fool of himself at Ibrox by getting the non-existant rule completely wrong, coming down from the stand and appearing on the track trying to call the game off when they still had 7 players on the pitch.

Genuine question. Have rules changed since this then?

This thread has been a case study in the perils of social media. An innocent posting led to the boy getting roasted. Unreal.

Maybe an innocent posting but innocent he aint.

Any club who would potentially take him on had a right to know how he behaved

You didnt see his behaviour at 1st hand. Could easily have escalated.

If he came on and apologised I may have some sympathy.

I actually dont think he could directly be blamed for any of the 9 goals

So i would suggest Ardeer binned him because of the way he reacted rather than his ability as a keeper.

Hopefully he has learned a lesson
