Certainly doesn't sound as though anyone will arrive in before eh Dundee game.

Yeah the more I look at it, I think signing a left full back and push Considine in alongside Devlin for the time the McKenna is out.
Has it been said how long Hoban is out for??

Fingers crossed we see some transfer activity this week.
Striker and centre back are top of the list IMO. Winger and another creative midfielder would be good add on additions.

Are Salford City a richer team than yourselves?
They have a group of owners with very deep pockets, pockets that they are willing to dip in to in order to try and bring success to the club.

Big difference in paying training compensation for a player and a transfer fee.
In terms of McKenna, is £10 million really that much to a top English team in todays transfer market?? That said I dont think we would actually hold out for that much. Anything around the £5 million mark and he would be gone I reckon.

You would certainly like to think they have a replacement agreed at the time of the Rooney announcement.
However I thought we'd see a new keeper when Rogers left...
You would hope this would be the case.
I have no real issues with Rooney moving on, he has been a great player for us but in recent years certain aspect of his game seem to have dwindled a bit and it became clear he was dropping further down the pecking order with McInnes.
I wish him all the best at Salford, at that level I am sure he will do just fine.

I hope we are not just releasing him and will get some form of fee for him.

Are there any players linked with us that aren’t just made up rumours by attention seekers on AFC-Chat?
Just Alex Schalk which was via the media but even that link seems to have gone quiet.

aye we could be missing out on McGeouch and Kenny Miller today
It will be good to get a line drawn under each scenario either way.
Could it be possible we have held off on pushing for other deals waiting on the outcome of these two??

Sunderland Echo reporting that Sunderland are confident that McGeouch will sign for them.

McInnes needs to actually promote some youth players. How can they ever be good enough (unless exceptionally naturally gifted) if not given decent game time?
We really lack behind most other clubs.
His signings over the course of his tenure, have on the most part been poor. If he cannot judge a player from outside our club, who’s to say he’s not missing ones on the inside?
The **** are dishing out £3m on single players, yet still give kids regular game time.
You feel with McInnes, that the only reason we have kids on the bench is to fill the required quotas from the SPFL.
The treatment of Scott Wright is something we should be concerned about also. Looked one of our best players when played last season, then frozen out.
Scott Wright showed a burst of promise but then IMO he really just fell away and was quite poor the times he did play after that. He seemed to lose the ability to run and take players on.
Best option for Scott Wright would be to go out on loan for a season, I very much doubt he will get much game this coming season, especially if we do sign another winger.

Fairly certain McGowan signed for Hamilton.

I thought Gleeson may have been announced by now, considering the media reports of how close the deal was.

Didn't play. The trialists were all young loons. The boy Ryan Harrington from Everton, centre half called Jack Breen, and somebody Allan. Not sure who scored.
He did play, here he is in action.

Chris McLaughlin, BBC, is reporting that we want GMS on a permanent deal but it is unlikely to happen at the moment as the numbers dont add up.

Mike Williamson is a target for us but Oxford are also very keen on him.
Let Oxford have him.

Can see Europe coming too early for us this season in terms of recruitment.
Not confident at all unfortunately.
I feel the same way.
We will really need to win by a few clear goals in the first leg next week.
