Hi guys just tried to et on AFTN (haven't been there for at least since Willie Gray was you chairman) but see it's been closed down that's a pity always had a good bit of banter. Is there anything planned as an alternative or is it now just history?

Used to drink in the Malt Cross when I finished my backshift shift it was quiet but used to have a decent ale on sometimes. So if you want sport go to the original Willie Wassels if you want fed go down the road sounds good to me. If I have time on the 6th I will definately be in the pub.

That concrete was put down for the old board pre alec penman for the all seated stadiums that were being mooted or teams were being made to do this. So I reckon it's 1994 or 1995. The coo shed ceased to exist after we sold Andy Harrow for £90,000 to Luton I think it was. The North Stand always had some concrete running along the front of it up to the barriers and upwards from that was the ash. There was always a semi circle of grass behind the goals at the north stand and it was from there that the goalmouths (6 yard box) were returfed, there was also parking there or the disabled cars as well as in front of the coo shed.

I have been in Wetherspoons it's ok but a bit to busy you can't have a decent chat, the Commercial is that just round the corner from the bus station or am I mistaken it for another pub? If you guys like a pint and a good pie then the Harbour in Kirkcaldy is the place 6 ales and a selection of steak,curry, chilli and various others to whet your fancy. If you can think of any others would appreciate it as there is nothing like a decent pint or two before the football.

How's your squadbuilding coming along are we going to get a half decent game with you guys. Looking forward to it, where's the best real ale bar in Dunfermline? I certainly don't want to go to the Elizabeathen with the children that follow both teams, I like a nice pint and a sensible conversation.

Well hopefully that's the defense sorted out I thought No 16 from Tuesday is worth a shout I'm sorry I have forgotten his name but he is Irish. Thought he might fill the Craigen role. Still shy on forwards hopefully we might see some promise quite soon. Maybe another two forwards one signed and one on loan and another mid-fielder to play box to box through the middle. Just to let Ross Callaghan know he has a bit of competition. Coustrain is the Irish player I hope I spelt his name correctly.

Cheers Paulbrucerick yes that's the one Matha' Dickie's used to go there on a Tuesday night and watch the local darts league. Aldo The Smugglers and the Anchor I think they are two other pubs I visited. Used to watch the football on Sky at thr Brig Bar. As you can tell I have frequented a few in my time there. Visited the Lodge at the bus station once or twice.

When you come out of the railway station you come up to the main road where there are always taxis parked. Turn right and cross over the street there are a few cafes/chip shops after the pub I am thinking about there is another one on the corner possibly a student place. I f you go back you come to a bar that sits back in its own little smokers area. It's not Buds I haven't been in that one or the shop next to it. This one is a darts pub it has darts down in the bar/seating area and upstairs in a gantry area. I wish I could remember the bloody name.

No it's not the Market I have had a beer or two there. The one I am asking about is when you come out the station up the slope and the Irish pub is almost on the corner across the road turn right and head towards the High Street that way the pub itself sits in a cut back. It's only a few yards from the chip shops and cafes that are there. Anyway will be through on the 6th August get off at the bus station try the Wekkington then possibly Wetherspoons definately Willie Wassels then probably Geordies Byre and if I have time The Wallace. After the game I might want to throw myself in the river or probably drown my sorrows/celebrate in Geordies Byre.

Callum-ayr I lived and worked in Ayr for two years and to my mind Geordies Byre was a very good pub. Being an ale drinker it suited me as well as the Wellington down in the basement. As you say Wetherstons not much difference from normal pub prices. Is Willie Wassels still reasonable priced? There was another one up by the railway station sat back a bit from the road I could be weong but was it Ma Camerons or something like that another good pub.

callum-ayr whay about the Ship Tavern along Harbour Road it's an Ayr pub is it not and The Wallace up at the railway station Wetherspoons on the sandgate, willie wasals down the bottom of the sandgate they are all good pubs.

Is it not about time you lot had a name change and a shift of venue. I think the name Ferranti Thistle seems more suited to your position. I also remember My team's reserves playing in the East of Scotland league in the 1970's. That seemed to suit your style of directorship the juniors at that time was rife with strange agreements. You lot seem to have brought all your baggage with you. Anyway must go have a nice season and don't put money into something that is not quite right alledgedly.
