A merger makes perfect sense.
At the moment it looks like one club with drive and ambition and then you have United stuck in the 80's.
Big man's team are stuck in the 90s, the 1690s

I missed that. What do you know? What happened at the end of 90 minutes between the manager and one of the subs?0 -

I make it 5 players have missed penalties this season, Hamilton, Hughes, Jones, Stevenson and Miller, though Miller scored from the rebound. Managements job to fix that.Think it’s 4 in a row penalty misses - not acceptable.
That had to be seen as deliberate to get a red card - surely will be appealed
Next two comments down to Management team - do we get rid of a third of the way through the league season and if we did who’s available?
Something has got to give as it’s not a good watch recently.
Who let Coll go on loan without a suitable replacement? Also Management accountability.
Fully agree with YTO, Dan Watt should have been brought on, if fit, to hold up the ball and make chances.
I did enjoy the banter between BU and Gala fans yesterday. Only heard that at home yesterday and against Tranent this season.

There was. Then there wasn'tOh dear, what a shame, there wouldn’t be any GIRFUY from him today then. [emoji848]0 -
26 goals scored in 12 games, 15 in 3 of those against bottom of the league teams. Only 11 in the other 9. We need to fix that. Needless penalties and needless red cards cost us a 2 goal lead today. Whether we were the better team or not is debatable but from that position we should have won.
We have 12 league games left this calendar year, 8 against teams below us in the league. Form and tactics need to improve to make this a decent season, to demonstrate an improvement on last season.2 -
Andy Walker was in the Baillieston team Lex beat in th Scottish Cup final.Question time
Excluding the Scottish Cup, In the last decade how many players capped by Scotland have played against the BU's in competitive games ?
Kirk Broadfoot and Ian Black. Are there more ?0 -
The junior supporters club had a field day with the banter
Gary O'Connor did play in the Scottish Cup. The BU defence have rarely had an easier game.0 -
George Connelly played for Sauchie against us. Best player on the park by a mile, he rarely left the center circle.Question time

I think he was player manager for Cowdenbeath when they beat us in the Scottish Cup in 2011
There's a possibility that Colin Cameron could have played against BU while player/manager of Lochore Welfare.0 -
Second this, Charlie bleeds Bo'ness United. I remember Charlie running the line in the 70s before juniors had linesmen assigned. Always helped me out when I needed to borrow a set of strips for tournaments.
I would like to give a shout for Charlie Patrick for his recognition for 60yrs service to the BU''S by the SFA. A man of few words Charlie has been kitman etc. in all these years and can be seen wherever the boys are playing. He has experienced the very highs and the very lows of the club but could always be relied upon to always be there no matter what.
Well done Charlie.

Ryan Adamson was in goals for Colts. Unit that came on in 2nd half for Colts was Greg Tade, man of many clubs.

Still not convinced by Grant. He's the managers favourite, clearly, but disappears in games too often. I think we a short of options on the wide right.
What's our strongest 11 ? Well 9 places for me are settled.
Only 2 positions up for grabs.
3- left back ? Ward or McCauley
6- defensive midfield ? Hughes, Gemmell or Johnston
1 Musa
2 McCormack
3
4 Todd
5 Coll
6
7 Grant
8 Alasson
9 Watt
10 Hamilton
11 Stevenson
...............what no Nicky Locke I hear you mutter.......fear not Nicky fans I am sure he will force his way back into the team.0 -
This.So on the one hand we've got posters saying that the rumour that things are not so good with the club regarding players are 'bollocks' and a 'lot of pish'.
And then in the same breath, saying that some are taking money under false pretences by continually being unavailable for whatever reason and others picking and choosing their games?
Huge contradiction there.
And committee man using hyperbole to justify lack of updates on reasons for absence. Of course it doesn't need to be all media sources, but there are ones that the core of fans use that could be utilised, like Facebook, Twitter and Pie and Bovril.0 -
Saying crowd was 120 is generous. And at least 20 of those were boys staying on from training earlier.
In 50 years I've not seen as disorganised a side as we were tonight. Players were out of position, sure, but they need to k ow what they are supposed to do in the positions they are selected in. Awful.0 -
Ruari MaclennanWho did he accommodate?1 -
Watched the Kelty v St J highlights and thought about when Ross Philp was our player of the season and the next season he got played at full back to accommodate a new signing. Was rightly scunnered and went back to Kelty.

EK should have had a penalty in the first half. Stonewall handball. We were very fortunate with that and a couple of other decisions at 0-0.
