For all the money Newton and Creetown have spent in the summer it must be disappointing for them losing in what should be winnable home games for them.

I thought the boy from Stranraer was scared of Nithsdale; why is he sending McKenzie off for nothing?
Other than Rod Williamson’s boy nobody is as bad as Sutherland, he just hates NW
The boy is an absolute zoomer. Really don’t believe it would have been for nothing.
Nithsdale’s current committee should be hanging their heads in shame for allowing the return of some of the idiots that have brought shame to the club for a number of years.

All 8 of Thistles title winning U17 squad who wouldn’t have been eligible for next season have been promoted into the South's senior ranks ( 3 at Newton and 5 at Wigtown ). It’s fantastic to give these promising lads that opportunity and has been our philosophy at Newton for a number of years now.
Living within your means is vital at our level and we firmly believe that as each season passes these youngsters gel together and the Team spirit within the playing squad is evident for all to see
. Some have the finances to take different routes but it isn’t always a guarantee of success so we’ll gladly continue as we have done in recent times.
Come on now! Stop trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes! Finances are playing a big part. Newton and especially Creetown are ploughing a bit of money into signings this coming season. It’s happening every where in the league Dalbeattie splashing cash, Lochar Thistle splashing cash, Abbey Vale splashing cash.
The Warwick guy at Dalbeattie sounds as though he likes the sound of his own voice?? is it him who is doing the Dalbeattie Facebook on social media now? His views on signings are a bit OTT imo.

Lewis is a winger. Who was shoe horned into the wing back position.
Good wee player from what I can remember from his youth days. I’m sure he won’t have any issues playing as a wing back. All about learning and getting experience and who better than learning and getting advice from his dad.
His mum will be loving all this attention I’d imagine.

Surely Grierson is way out his depth here? Lower level Ayrshire teams is sadly about his limit.
Well I did call it a few months back. But was lamblasted for it.
GG resigns!

Genuine question here. What was the point of Darren Millar leaving Darvel a few month back to go to Benburb and then Pollock to then return to Darvel?
have I missed something here.Did he end up going to Pollok thinking wee Mick would end up there

I watched my first Dalbeattie Star game for a long time on saturday. Great result for them.
Couldnt believe my eyes on the touchline though. Could anyone tell me why that wee guy Jonny Brown is now at Dalbeattie? He is just a fraudster. So many teams have shown him the door in the Dumfries area. He moves from team to team. Last I heard he was chased out of Nithsdale Wanderers.

I believe Darren Podge Kerr and Vinny Parker have been appointed co managers??

Seems to be something a miss up Sanquhar way at the minute. Team struggling. Was always going to be the case with the management team that was appointed.
They are not the only management team struggling. How are Bonnyton managers still in a job? Lochar Thistle are struggling without Nikki. St Cuthberts are worse than when Mr Frazer was in charge. Talking of the man himself Newton are also struggling.
Fair play to Abbey Vale and Threave for battling it out for the League title1 -
Colin McMenamin has signed for Hurlford United as a striker.
Best of luck to the big man!
Signed for 3k and on a very high weekly wage. Came from a committee member. Sadly always been a mercenary. Surprised If Gibson doesn’t follow suit.
Greedy men.0 -
Threave are miles ahead of any other team I have witnessed this season. But spending over 20k on players that is only natural. Some top players in there squad.

Saints? I have watched two games this season and I have to say that is the worst Saint Cuthberts team I have seen in 10 year. Abysmal.

Difficult times at Dalbeattie. Manager completely out of his depth? Players not up to standard?
Daz Kerr wasn’t the best manager for Star but the Maxwell guy would be better taking a step back. Laughable.
Some of players are simply not good enough or past their best.
Didn’t spend money on keeping some of last year’s good players instead going with some unproven lads who would struggle to play with Threave, Abbey Vale and other top teams in Southern Counties League.
Thomson, Kerr, Tremble all young but not good enough. Should play in Southern Counties to find there level first of all.

Poor game today but a draw probably fair result. AJ tinkering with team looks as though he doesn’t know who to play where. Credit to him for changing in second half. Hope the lads injury isn’t bad.

Think it’s clear to see Dalbeattie are shocking. Seems they have went from one dummy manager to another. Although Kerr pulled a couple of good results out of nowhere last year. Too many players who are not good enough nowadays ie Parker, Wells, Sloan, Fergusson, Wilson. Looks like Gretna and Dalbeattie to fight the drop.

Very unhappy tae see Craig go bloody seen that coming New there was sumit up bit I’m sure Raymond will do ok giving time clubs bigger than any manager or player Craig lads a top manager and wud have took us on but Raymond is young and will take us on, I see the green eed monsters still on here mon the mighty saints need a win
It should’ve been done long ago. Not the correct appointment at the time. Look at the state of Saints now. Took 10 steps backwards since the good days 5 year ago.0 -
That will be Dalbeattie Star doomed now I would say.

Is Lewis Sloan still at the Star for next season Aguero?
Yes he was playing. Looks a bit heavier than he used to.

Dalbeattie could struggle this season. Hope not but don’t think it will be pretty.
Watched game last night v a Hamilton XI. Well beat against good side.
Team selection not good.
Played probably there best CB Wells in midfield and there two best CM Graham and Todd were on the sub bench.
Plus no striker. Oh and not sure who GK was.0 -
Been at Palmerston a few times this season to watch Southern Counties matches This seemed no difference in quality or entertainment.
Big Dykes poor but give the guy a break he’s trying to bring a bit of glamour and casanovaness to the club.1 -
1-0 going on 6 or 7.

Be interesting to see how Lochar do now, now that the mercenary Ian Anderson has jumped ship. Can’t understand that move. Must be for a bit of money surely.
