  1. Ah thanks for clearing that up, wasn’t 100% sure. Sure there was some mention of floodlights getting revamped too.
  2. Wonder what the process for things like this. As soon as it goes through are Hibs expected to make contact with us, or do they turn their phone off pretending that they’ve forgotten. Probably some legal involvement somewhere, anyone actually know how it works?
  3. I'd actually quite like a Scoreboard, small one like Easter Road between the top and bottom tier of the main stand or something. Not sure it could go anywhere else. We were meant to be getting one as we were a ground picked to host Scotland ladies games for a tournament but it got binned around the covid period, was mentioned at a PSC meeting by Ross McCarthur. What was the crack with the Elvis statue? I know we had one, but why? Sure some of the players got photos with it alongside the Scottish Cup when we were on our 2004 run to the final.
  4. Our Grangemouth friends will hope so but I don't think the cup defeats will have any impact. I'm sure we'll drop points between now and May but so will everyone else in the division. The league isn't done, but I do think we'll win it. There's a lot of football to be played, I think we'll strengthen in the window, Falkirk could potentially be weakened if Kennedy leaves before they get a chance to add so who knows. I fully expect the march to the title to kick on when we take on Clyde this weekend.
  5. I wasn’t bothered about tonight at all. Don’t get me wrong, would have been nice to go through on Saturday but was all about the performance and not getting humped, if anything we should have won the game. Tonight, score line looks worse than it was, still went there and scored twice but as I said I wasn’t too fussed about going through, I’d rather we just kicked on and get out this league. Dundee went to Falkirk and won 0-3 in the last round so not like anyone in the division is doing anything better.
  6. Ah well, at least that’s done and dusted. Just league games until the end of the season. Some Dundee fan on twitter was posting the goals, some finish from Wighton!
  7. Was it 2009/10 or 2010/11 we had the really bad snow that began late November and went through until mid January? Might explain it.
  8. I'm sure it has happened to us before but not 100%, maybe wasn't two league games. I seem to recall season 2011/12 and Inverness CT, I'm sure we played them 800 times in one season, league games, cup plus replays. Glad it's a Saturday with us both being out the Scottish, common sense and chance of a better support with it being the weekend.
  9. Postponed Airdrie (a) game from December has now been rescheduled for the 11th of Feb which makes sense with us both being out of the cup. I imagine the Falkirk game will be a midweek now. So we'll be away to them on the 11th then have them back at East End the following week.
  10. Back again I know, but it’s slow news over at our place. RE the O’Hara chat, I have to say I was shocked when it was rumoured we were signing him given what had happened only a year or two before. However, he was pretty open and honest about it in his signing interview and we gave him the benefit of the doubt given he was just a kid and we all have done stupid things. With regards to the football, I was pretty happy as he’d done well regularly against us in Peter Grant’s Alloa team, few goals at East End much to his delight. Unfortunately he really hasn’t been that guy. I thought we might have got a poacher with a bit of pace, could even play wide but he’s wasted out there. Through the middle he’s came up with a couple of goals but not prolific enough, one hat trick away to Alloa early in his first season probably the most notable thing, fair play to him be only came on as a sub with 30 mins to go. There has been injury problems, mainly this year where he’s been out since early September but unless he has a very useful and prolific finish to the season I wouldn’t be hoping for a new deal. I think there’s a good chance he’ll bag a few goals between now and May but his all round play has to be better because if he’s not doing it in L1 then he won’t be doing it in the Championship if we get there.
  11. Didn’t head through today. Result exactly as I imagined, right game, gave a good account of ourselves but Thistle going through. Sounds like we had the better of the chances and should be in the hat, but I’m not overly fussed that we’re out. Journo from the Dunf Press was doing the post match with Dave McKay. McKay said that we might see Fisher back, it’s not dead in the water.
  12. Going by the Twitter updates we've done okay here, what was the penno for?
  13. Think so, was mentioned briefly at the PSC meeting through the night. McPake said he didn't know how it worked anymore, what the fee would be, if one would be required etc, think he made resemblances to the hand ball rule as it's all a bit vague, but the gut feeling is yes a development fee would be due.
  14. I haven't seen much if any of Dundee this season but I'd expect him to be in and around their first team, bearing in mind it's a division up. For his first few games with us he was on the bench and got in due to a change in formation. If he can get in the team I'd be shocked if he doesn't at least have 10 starts for Dundee by the end of the season.
  15. I liked Donaldson, solid centre half but absolutely has that chance of a bomb-scare moment but Benedictus has been streets ahead of any centre half we've had for about five years. I know he's playing league one, but he's quality. Calm under pressure, always wants the ball, no big hoofs up the park, a leader etc, everything we've wanted for years. The last centre half we had like that was Callum Morris but he's not as good a defender as Bene I don't think. Totally agree, a pairing of Bene and Donaldson would be very good at this level.
  16. I know he got a two year contract but did he not get emptied in the January, six months into his new two year deal? Aye I spoke with one of the players who was around just when AJ came in, said he was kept in limbo about a new deal but AJ made it sound like he wanted him, then just completely patched him.
  17. Top of the league, best defensive record in the league by some distance and towing a caravan. Must be some player!
  18. Brilliant. Bene hasn't been out of first gear all season.
  19. When AJ put M'Voto up front with 40 minutes to go against Utd at Tannadice in the playoffs his fate was sealed for me. How he got another 6 months in the job after that was a disgrace. Other guys he let go like Shaun Byrne, Falky, completely unforgivable. Guys a complete bellend too apparently.
  20. He's a good player, will play for Dundee regularly I think. We'd done okay without him in our first 9/10 league games until he joined and started playing regularly so hoping that stays the same.
  21. Aye he really was good, whether it be a back 2 or 3 he was comfortable. Despite only having 16 appearances, if we go on to win the league I wouldn't be overly shocked if he made an appearance in team of the year alongside Benedictus.
  22. See you's have recalled Sam Fisher, thanks very much, Friday ruined Hope the boy does well for you, think he'll come back to play, he's been great!
  23. Disappointing but I expected it considering there had been no immediate announcement similar to KRH and Mochrie. He's been really good but Breen had been solid before Fisher came in, then he got a knock and subsequently lost his place to Fisher and it's been that way since. Need another CB in but Breen will fill Fisher's place no problem, Breen also adds a bit of attacking presence for set-pieces with his height etc.
