Hutton was an absoulute sham. hes one of the worst players ive seen in a sons shirt.

Part of Mr Aitkens "Jobs for the boys" series of signings along with Andy Little

Hutton had a stigma, if you will, attached to him when he signed that some fans couldn't let go of but in his last couple of seasons he was miles ahead of Carswell and that was playing with a foot that needed surgery as well if I'm not mistaken.

  2. If he is offski then I think that's a real opportunity to strengthen.

He'll be one of our bigger earners plus I don't think he's creative enough to cause other teams trouble or destructive enough to be a great ball winner.

His wedge could go towards a much better player.

If we're offering Layne the chance to train with us in the hope he'll pick up a contract in the Lowland or WoS leagues then fine. I we're actually considering signing him then its a  terrible move.

After Boyle getting offered a deal after the season he had I'm always going to worry about Faz's judgement now.

I wouldn’t touch him with a barge pole. His last loan spell was an absolute disaster and he turned in one the single worst, lazy and uninterested displays I’ve ever witnessed in a Sons shirt. The last thing we need is someone who is injury prone and hugely inconsistent, especially if we are only going into this season with 2 strikers. Duffy managed to squeeze a wee bit of good out of him at times during his first spell but I don’t think it was an easy job.

Aye Duffy took him out for individual one to one sessions both times he was with us. Can't see the current set up doing that with him.

A no from me as well.

Call me crazy but that’s a very Isaccy Layne looking figure behind Joe McKee there…

Are there any clearer pics of the mystery men?

If it is Isaac would anyone take a punt on him again?

Him not fancying it on astro is a huge negative right away but if he made up for it with goals galore during the home game then who knows?!?

The game is also on a Tuesday night so fair fucks to anyone taking time off work for that.

His reasoning behind the game was to give the boys a jolly. You'd think they would have at least sorted it for a weekend.

Combined with the numerous “I’m not buying a season ticket’ posts, they’ll be speed dialling Dumbarton’s least favourite Cambridge graduate.

Mate you were wishing harm on the guy last night so you can get off your high horse about folk not renewing season tickets.

By the sounds of it you haven't been to a game in a while due to your location and if that is the case let me tell you it's not the cheapest day out going to the football.

If fans have homes, bills, holidays, weddings etc to pay for and don't want to spend their hard earned money on an expense that doesn't feel worth it anymore that's up to them and shouldn't be made to feel bad about it by someone that doesn't go to the matches.

It's up to the club to convince us otherwise.

As much as I dread the prospect of Farrell in L2, binning season tickets only players into the current owners hands and speeds up our demise.

I'm not renewing while he's in charge. The club need to think long and hard about their next move because I'm sure there will be others thinking the same way.

Money's too tight to be giving it to Farrell to assemble another squad.

The guy clearly hasn't got it.

I get folk from the club get charmed by the Farrell patter and I know he's sorted some comp tickets for games down south for some folk but put that aside and fucking bin him please.

It's not just about results though, it's about providing the paying customer with a reasonable contest rather than the utter farce of a goal which decided the home defeat to Alloa for example.  And it stands to reason that a team which has to play on a midden every second week will be more inconvenienced than visitors who turn up twice a season.

As for the groundsman, it's probably not that he's not up to the job but that he's not up AT the job often enough due to the geography.

I WOULD go as far as he's not up to it tbh but Wylde vs EF, Oyinsan vs Peterhead, McLean vs Stenny, Carswell vs Cove and countless crackers scored against us this season have also happened on that pitch.

Wright against Alloa is the only example I can think of the pitch costing us points. Poor signings and even poorer management has cost us more points.

Whatever the outcome of this relegation play-off we should never underestimate the detrimental effect of the decision to dispense with a competent local groundsman in favour of one who resides on the Ayrshire coast.  Anyone doubting this need look only at the hellish home form stats, never mind the state of the pitch since the New Year onwards.  Not to mention hosting Rangers B team this season.  Whoever made this call could end up costing the club dear.

One sliver of hope might be that the other teams in the play-off all play on artificial pitches, with our best performances having been on these surfaces.

The Groundsman is to blame for the team's home form?

The pitch was/is a riot but so is Firhill this season and both teams using that are in the running for the playoffs.

Only one man to blame for our form and hopefully he's gone after the playoffs.

  11. I reckon they'll go the same route as Aitken. We'll get relegated and then he'll nearly relegate us again before they get their fingers out of their arses and bag him.

Fingers crossed they see that Faz isn't cut out for this game and they'll bag him after the playoffs whatever way it goes.

    Naismith as the example?

Edinburgh City sacked Naismith when they were 4 games unbeaten. Lost the first game after sacking him. We'll see how Maybury does, but if Stenny replace them as 4th - there's only a 2 point gap - is sacking Naismith the right decision?

End of April and Stenny manage to overtake Edinburgh City and secure 4th - is that a great endorsement of the decision to sack their manager this late in the season?

He's referring to your original argument, that was no manager would take a job with 6 or 7 games to go.

This theory has been proven to be wrong.

Aye, "something you can't coach is losing goals in the first 3 minutes". Goes on to say players don't have the desire to close down shots and prevent goals, nor do they have the desire to get on the end of crosses and score goals at the other end.

    The players right under it.

  14. I haven't watched his interview cause it'll just make me more raging but did he actually say you can't coach not conceding or not conceding early goals?

Duff ball was absolutely eye bleeding to watch but there's proof in there that you can drill organisation into a poor side.
