Very happy about Mochrie and a bit of a statement that we mean business and he is only 21. We will have a young squad but much stronger and deeper than last season. We are going to have a much stronger bench. This is a difficult one to predict but here is my view on a potential starting 11 for first league cup game. I think we will go with a 3-5-2 formation and have a solid base. I can see Mason in a back 3 this year now we have Bruce. Muzz Janny Wilson Mason Mcdonald Bruce Deano Mochrie Frizz Wilson Toddy Bench of Wright Reid Agyemang Armstrong Aiken McGregor Cooper McGrattan ATS ...Going to be interesting to see who the starting 11 is. I suspect a lot more rotation. Not sure if manager will pick himself even for bench if everyone fit.

I think back 3 of Watson, Wilson and Mason with Bruce and Macdonald as wing backs is how we make ourselves most robust based on what we have right now. Yes we lose out on Mason going forward as much but I think this is our best defence as it stands. Deano sitting Agyemang +Frizz + Armstrong B Wilson up front as line striker with midfielders getting forward and interchanging that’s how I’d start based on what I’ve seen. unlike the look of the trialist Bala as well

We have a track record of very poor home attendance in recent times….hardly going to drive a large budget so we need to be sensible about expectations on what we can afford. Sure…we will have better away attendances but the board will have to budget sensibly. look at what Arbroath have achieved with their players and to a certain extent Queens Park. To me it’s all about acquiring players that manager feels suit the system and I’m sure the young Hibs lads fit that. I do get that we need some defensive cover but as for the rest of the squad o am very hopeful we will do well with what we have.
