    I'm meaning this season, obviously.

I'm not claiming May is better than Hemmings either, just questioning why Dundee fans have decided May, who hasnt scored in 100 minutes this season is finished, while Hemmings, with a worse record, isnt.

Hemmings has scored. May has not. Hemmings therefore has a better goalscoring record.

May also has a shambolic lid.

We've already picked up points at Pittodrie and Easter Road without him playing a major part, and almost made the top half last season with Kane as a main striker, so not sure what Hope's we have resting on him.

    Played, far, far more though...

According to Wikipedia (I know it's not the most reliable source) Hemmings has played a total of 41 games for Dundee across his two spells and scored 22 goals. May's equivalent statistics are 64 games and 23 goals. I accept that Hemmings' most recent 4 appearances and 1 goal have been in the Championship so, excluding those it's a goal every 1.8 games for Hemmings versus 2.8 for May. In what world is May better than Hemmings?

Our stadium has been getting done up mate, something you stadium is in desperate need of, but u wee skint c***s probs can’t afford! 🤣🤣

Forgive me, but I only recall seeing news about your sticklebrick omnishambles of a "stadium" crumbling. If you'd point me in the direction of similar stories about our world-class sporting arena then I'd be most grateful if you could share them. Until then, off you pop back to propping up the Crumbledome.

    Dundee end.

A load of Dundee fans bought tickets for the away end, United pulled the link and sent out an email blaming a technical error. Dundee fans moaned, United said it was partly Dundee's fault and the sales were cancelled and refunds would be issued. Certain folk have got their refunds and now others are getting emails from United saying "They tickets you bought. Due to bad press we have had, you can have them if you want or you can get a refund - they won't be where you booked but they are together in the same stand. Let us know."

Dundee season ticket holders are supposed to get first dibs and United are selling tickets before Dundee have even received their allocation.

    Clusterfuck.

Was the "technical error" that the stadium is falling down and they're concerned about selling tickets for something that won't exist by the time Dundee visit? Might make better financial sense for Dundee to sell tickets for a fanzone on Tannadice Street and we can watch the game through the rubble.

  5. 49 hours until Kane restarts his glorious Dundee career. Looking forward to a season of binocular celebrations, especially against the jobby sleeves. The only things that could make today any better are:

     - Speroni signing

     - Tommy Wright being sacked

     - Large swathes of the Sticklebrick being condemned due to a lack of structural integrity

What a day to be a Dee. Roll on Saturday.

  7. I was open to the idea of Stevie May joining us a couple of weeks ago but his reluctance to sign, coupled with the signing of Dannyboy, has completely changed that. We don't need folk that aren't interested in being here especially when their goalscoring record is patchy and they come across as rather sly.

0-0 against a team who’ve never played an SPFL game before, you moron.

People in glass houses and all that, pal. For a supporter of a team that has languished in the Championship for a number of years, recently played in a jersey with jobby sleeves and failed to progress beyond the second round of the League Cup for the past 2 years, you'd be best advised to keep shtum.

While we're on the subject of the League Cup, didn't you fail to get out of a group with the mighty Arbroath, Alloa and Elgin last year?

Most Dundee fans would quite happily tell you that we're a few players short of a full squad and, while last night's result wasn't great, at least it wasn't a defeat which it almost certainly would have been under McCann or McIntyre.

I know United's signing policy over the past few years hasn't been great but didn't realise they've started targeting folk competing in a half-time crossbar event at one of the big team's pre-season friendlies.

The fact he got a t shirt printed for his grandson saying "my grandad is a legend" says it all.

Bunch of cringe worthy narcissists with literally nothing to be smug about.

Not sure I agree. Most people from Angus seem to be smug about their council tax bills being lower than their Dundonian counterparts.

  11. Can someone please summarise how I should feel about this? One part of me thinks this will be a disaster - novice manager with no first team managerial experience taking charge of a team in a notoriously difficult league. Another part reckons this Jazza could be decent - he's not going to take any nonsense and WGS and Jimmy Nicholl supporting him could be a great team.

I just hope that Nelms is doing this for the right reasons rather than because he sees Jazza as someone who will agree with him and who will, presumably, be paid less than Goodwin would have been (albeit any salary saving will be offset by the potential recruitment of WGS).

    Ma heid's in a spin.

Did Duffy lead you to the finals and Europe while you were spunking the 20 odd Million?

The bitterness is quite palpable. But, yes, Duffy was in cherge from 2002 - 2005 when we reached the Scottish Cup Final (May 2003 - bizarrely left Novo on the bench and played Blunderkid Burchill up front) and the games against Vllaznia and Perugia.
