  1. Absolutely agree with previous comments that we should cash in on Caulker if there's £1.5m being offered (or even half of that if he's personally due the balance). There's no point in clinging on to him for a few months and losing him for nothing and the proposed move to Leeds would be a decent fit for him as he looks to continue his recovery.

  2. The Vancouver Whitecaps website has all you need to know about our lad, Marcus:

Haber not only excelled in soccer, but in baseball and basketball as a youngster. When not concentrating on his soccer career, the forward enjoys listening to and producing hip hop music, as well as shopping. His favourite holiday destinations are Whistler and Mexico, while his favourite food is sushi. The forward's favourite soccer team is English Premier League giants Arsenal, while his favourite player is Barcelona and France striker Thierry Henry.

Keep him gangstaaaa (whatever that means) and I'm sure he'll be just grand.

The boys at my work that play golf pay about £100 per club! Is there much of a difference between a 6 iron and a 7 iron that justifies £100? Could they not just hit one a wee bit softer/ harder? And they talk about using certain golf balls because of the compression. Like they’re not shite amateurs. Whatever happened to just turning a walking stick upside down and getting on with it? My biggest gripe with golf is the complete silence they need to take a shot. Imagine that was the case in football. Some c**t holding up a “quiet please” sign when someone is away to take a penalty. Golf would be far better if Rory McIlroy was teeing off and folk were shouting “miss ya c**t!” And chanting “Rory! Rory! You! Are! Shite!” at him. Adds a bit of necessary sporting pressure, imo.

I'd definitely watch more golf if Happy Gilmore came out of retirement. Haven't seen him on the tour for a few years now.

Murray is not good enough if we want to push on. It’s a no from me. Although his sister/bird was worth a rattle so she will be a miss at away games.

I didn't realise that he was involved with an incestuous relationship. That alone means it's a no from me.

You boys need to stop training at soccerworld, McPake, Wighton and now the cult hero.

And even with our ever growing injury list, we still managed to beat you lot. How does that make you feel knowing that our injury-ravaged squad was still able to see you off?

I always find the argument of not caring about a competition after you've gone out to be quite amusing, particularly when 4,000 or so (?) of your fans turn up to watch a supposedly meaningless game and get riled by Gowser going bananas in front of them. United supporters as a group really do exhibit a number of sub-human characteristics and they really deserve our pity over anything.

Perhaps rather than purchasing a scarf, we could all donate £3 a month to the Help a DAB in Need Fund and you'll receive your very own monthly update of their trips to the seaside, ongoing reviews of Sunday lunch at Dobbies and the opportunity to take them to Dens to rehabilitate them.

  7. I've just read the preview for tomorrow's match on the official website and I knew we had a shite record against Ross County but I didn't realise quite how shite it actually is. 12 wins in 43 games is pish against a team from a town with a population of less than 6,000. Time for the Mouss in Boots to bag himself a fluky deflected goal in the 90th minute to secure a wholly unmerited victory.

  8. Moving on from discussions about our game against the Jobby Sleeves, how does everyone think we'll line up on Saturday in the Big Boys League? I'd be tempted to start with the same team as Sunday but can see why Wolters might have done enough to start. If he does, I suspect O'Hara will be the prime candidate to be cut since Kamara looked good and I think Gowser would tear McCann apart if he got dropped.

Monopoly money a wouldn't even waste that on use, when use went into administration was brilliant, own fault buying players use couldn't even afford, and use still did nothing ok use scrapped a top 6 finish welldone but half the Argentina players were on the Ching emoji23.pngemoji23.pngemoji23.png

    What language is this?

  10. My take on the game, for the little that it's worth:

Bain: Rarely troubled and wasn't really at fault for the goal but loses marks for that revolting outfit. It made the dayglo kits at the other end of the pitch look a little dull and that's never a good thing.

Kerr: The fact he's a Dundee supporter is superb news because I think he's got the potential to go far and we could struggle to hold on to him. He's quick, positionally aware and good and going forward as well as defending.

Waddell: For a young lad playing in what I'd imagine was his biggest game of his career, he did well. Nothing too fancy but got stuck in and, in my opinion, played better than O'Dea at the back.

O'Dea: I thought he was a little wobbly today and didn't play as well as we know he can.

Holt: Hmmm, I'm not convinced and couldn't decide whether he's an attacking defender or a defensive attacker. That said, it feels as though he thinks he's better in his head than he actually is and needs to keep it a lot simpler. Agree with other posters that he needs to stop taking set pieces for two reasons: 1) he's pish at taking them; and 2) he's big so probably more use in the box.

Deacon: Depending on which reports you read today, he was either the best player on the pitch or completely anonymous. I'm inclined to go with the former and thought he had a pretty good game, other than the one-on-one that he butchered towards the end and the feeble penalty attempt. Definitely the potential to be a good signing.

McGowan: Even on his off days it's hilarious to watch Gowser. I genuinely thought he was going to headbutt O'Hara on the halfway line after he'd scored because he was that pumped. Absolute lunatic but glad he's one of us.

Kamara: Potentially a class act who seemed to always be in the right place and looked like he was strolling around. Reminded me a little of Kevin McDonald and I think he could be a decent player for us.

O'Hara: I know that some people don't rate him but I think he does the jobs that no one else wants to. He gets stuck in, always gives everything and often disrupts the opposition going forward. Scored a decent goal as well so I thought he was one of our better players yesterday.

Allan: Superb. Nothing else to say.

Moussa: The laddy's undoubtedly an entertainer and seems to love playing but I think I, along with many others on here, am yet to be convinced he can cut it against teams other than the likes of Cowdenbeath.

Wolters: Best of the subs and definitely worthy of a start I think. Someone posted yesterday that they would start Randy on the left wing and move Allan into the middle behind the striker(s) and I think that would work well. Not sure who to drop but I'd imagine O'Hara could be the victim (despite me saying that I thought he played well).

El Bak: Didn't really offer much and seemed to be playing too deep and not up with Moussa.

Hendry: Similar to Waddell, he's only young but held his own for the short time that he was on the pitch and I wouldn't be too nervous if he ended up starting games for us.

Without marking players individually out of 10, I'd give us a solid 6 out of 10 as a team.

The standard of the recent influx of Fife and Angus DAB posters has been hilariously poor. Even their own decent posters on here must be looking at their screens through minter-fingers.

Starting to get the traditional pre Derby nerves. Yassss.

I've been thinking this too. There used to be a genuine rivalry with amusing 'banter' (shudder, I hate that word) but now I find myself feeling nothing but pity for them. I do suspect, however, that the majority of DABs would cringe at some of the things being said here by the likes of @fifeunited who, mysteriously, seems to have upped his activity since the beginning of the school holidays...

    Todays derby...

The Dabs couldn't even muster up enough buses from their small Angus villages to fill the Bob Shankly. History would repeat itself in 2016 with the smallest away crowd ever to visit a competitive Dundee derby - but that's a story for another day.

Dundee tore the Tangerines apart and Nemsadze's absolute piss take of the United defence for goal number two has given the respective defenders nightmares ever since. Humiliation it was - humiliation.

The humiliation led to the hacking of Cabalerro as seen on the video.

The likes of Lorraine Kelly were nowhere to be seen at this stage as the little Dayglo purple patch hadn't been entered yet. Hooly was reported to have burst into tears this night outside the 4J's which would also be a turn of events that would occur again in 2016.

    Thank you.

That second goal was something special, as was that whole evening. I'm still torn between that second and Giorgi's goal at Tannadice in the 2-0 game a couple of months later (20mins into the video).
