I'd give the armband to Robertson. I know he's already a coach so has influence already but he's the model pro and the player who I'd imagine the squad will look up to.

Søren Andersson banged in a few games on the trot, don't know how many but must've been close to 8Soren scored 5 for us in his time at Starks but they weren't in consecutive games.

Anyone know the last player to score in eight consecutive games for us? Can't imagine it's too common an occurrence?
Especially from a midfielder!0 -

Wasnt around at the time, but how was he thought of by the fans ? Was he a success ? Any other 'notable' directors ? Leave you in a good state?
No. Almost bankrupted us, we had to sell our best players and stadium to stay afloat.

Apologies for bringing up old ground, but can any of you give a summary of the Colin McGowan era at your club and what other characters were around at that point ?
Short, McGowan and some dodgy boy from Dundee who's name escapes me.

Mr Sim stated something in his interview about refurbing the ground to make it a 6 thousand capacity. I can't see him knocking down the stands behind the goals, both of those would give us that capacity. Are his plans then to do away with the railway and main stands?

Used to sit down the front of the South Stand with my pal and ticklemafeet would spend the whole game facing us instead of the pitch and would dare us to take our shoes off... even tried to bribe us with a free Mars bar after we refused. We thought it was hilarious at the time but looking back it actually makes me feel quite sick to be honest.
Yeah. I've never liked Mars Bars either.

I think East Fife gave us the tickets, it's them that'll have got them off the Dees

I don't think Smith wanted to make wholesale changes as I still think the side looks a bit disjointed and inconsistent. It's almost as if he thinks the more they key men play together, the more they will click.
In pre season, in the Dunfermline and Buckie games, we showed what we can do when it goes right. For some reason, we haven't been able to replicate that form in the other games. I think Smith wants to keep trying with the same players to get it right.

I'd heard the takeover had collapsed too.

The best way to deal with it (doubt it will be the way they do)
But you contact the supporter directly, meet with them and come up with some sort of pass and maybe a covering letter from the club explaining that the child has a medical condition and needs the juice.
Even stick a footnote on it for the stewards saying to contact the office if they have any queries about it.
10-20% discount for the club shop as a goodwill gesture and maybe a statement on the clubs website asking fans in the same situation to contact the club and put a plan in place (the card/letter) to prevent this happening again.
As i say, that's what i would do, the club though...Just to play devils advocate, I don't think the club can be blamed for this. Not allowing plastic bottles into a ground is probably a police rule that the club won't have any say over. You only have to look at what happened at Linfield to see that there are morons out there that'll throw stuff. I'd imagine getting hit in the face with a full bottle of fruit shoot would be pretty sore.

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed but at full time there was a large group of young neds walking down Pratt St towards the growing with bottles of buckfast etc. Looked as though they were after a scrap. I'm not sure if there was any bother?

Was it the whole of Fife's Finest who were abusing a disabled fan or an individual?
I remember, 20 odd years ago, joining in choruses of 'I'd rather be a paki than a par' and thinking it was hilarious. Looking back now, it makes me cringe. I can only hope whoever was involved yesterday grows up and looks back on it in disgust.

Seems a bit harsh to be dragging Fife's Finest into it. Surely it's more the individual that's to blame? If the boy had been in the Jim McMillan club would they have been brought into it too?
Fife's Finest have probably contributed to the club more than most of the people laying into them on here.

I understand that Stevenson has signed tonight and that Oesi and Vaughn are going out on loan.

I don't know what's happened to atmosphere in football but it seems to be a widespread issue, not just is down at the San Starko.

I blame the Astro pitches we train on at the Mick Wids
We do the majority of our training on the full size grass pitch. They only use the Astro when the grass is unplayable. Can we really blame Astro in this day and age for injurys? I doubt there's many clubs/players out there who don't regularly play or train on the stuff.

Out of interest, those of you that are dead against this guy being anywhere near the club, if Gareth Bale had set about someone with a baseball bat, been kicked out of Spain and ended up training with us, would you be of the same opinion? Or is it just because Gallagher is mediocre?

Craig Easton is/was a central midfielder. There's nothing wrong with him keeping his hand in just in case we ever need him I suppose.

Stop being so precious. Kyle bennidictus and Davo have both been done for assault too ffs. It's footballers we are dealing with, not choir boys!

Yeah Zen. They have admitted themselves it's been a shambles! Where's commandant Lussard when you need him!

I don't think the money went to the club. I think Kelly wanted out, wanted his money back and knew if he offered those tickets he could take that as payment and give his shares up.

Was there a partition down the main stand then? From that picture it must have been difficult to see the North end if you were sitting behind that partition!
