  1. Don't clubs cover the cost of operations (usually through their insurance cover)?
  2. A question for @Marten I'm over in Amsterdam on 18th - 20th Nov and plan to get the train to Leiden and then bus to Katwijk to watch Quick Boys v AFC. I am presuming for a game at this level, pay at the gate would be the norm. However, was wondering if there is any way to buy tickets online? I had a look at Quick Boys website and the online ticket sales section seems to lead to a dead end. Am I just being an idiot?! Any help would be much appreciated
  3. Are there any real pubs in Pitmedden? A quick google suggests there's upmarket country restaurant and an off licence with a couple of tables inside. Neither seems like it'd be ideal for a bus full of football fans. Is there a social club/bar at the ground?
  4. I was sat beside a couple of Ireland fans who were singing about the IRA both while the actual away section was and at other times. They were fairly in my face when Ireland took the lead. When we scored the winner, was I the bigger man, willing to forgive their indescretions? No. I was not
  5. Thoroughly looking forward to being as disresprctful as possible during the minute's applause
  6. I hope the board act quickly. I've no ill feeling towards Swift but if he doesn't go ASAP he'll just get hounded until he does which is fairly undignified. Looking forward to booing them on to the park at Forfar!
  7. Pay up the wages of Cantlay, Forbes, Higgins and Joseph and sack Swift immediately. I doubt there is a single fan who wants him to stay.
  8. I did not want to derail the excellent autism thread with a trivial question. How else are you meant to tie your laces? Isn't this the way everyone does it?!
  9. There were several games at the start of last season that a draw would have been a fair result, but we lost. Swift acknowledged it wasn't an acceptable showing so hopefully an improvement next week.
  10. It is £18 for a ticket for away fans (and presumably non ST EF fans). Eighteen pounds!!!
  11. Despite the scoreline, I was quote happy with what I saw today. The strength, pace and quick movement of the ball by Killie was on another level to anything we're used to seeing. The right back on loan from Arsenal was absolutely incredible! We always tried to play football, moved the ball about well and rarely went for the easier long ball option. The players seemed comfortable on the ball and there were some decent passages of play.
  12. There appears to be 3 stands open for the game at Rugby Park on Saturday, with the away support getting the entirety of the stand behind the goal. Seems excessive!
  13. Possibly with the exception of Bryson (though age, wanting to go part time explains it) I don't think there has been a signing by any club that has made me 'jealous' like there usually is. Plenty of decent players signed but none I'm shocked to find at this level.
  14. These 'scientists' and their shan models predicted a 50% chance it would NOT reach 40c and it (provisionally) has. Sick of these so called experts. Do they ever get anything right?
  15. I strongly suspect the reason some of these scientists types are taking what seem like wildly unneccessary 'precautions' is because they have high functioning autism rather than because they're nuts.
  16. The diamond is fine against better teams we face in cup competitions and perhaps in some of the more difficult away games. It is not suitable for run of the mill league games. The more orthodox 4-4-2 is just garbage in general. He'll be out the door soon if he persists with it. 4-3-3 is the way forward. It makes the most of our strong central midfield and alows O'Reilly and to a lesser extent Yates to do damage out wide.
  17. From a man who has presumably seen Andy Brown, that's quite the claim!
  18. Not kept up with the whole thread so apolgies if mentioned before but the reason people should be demanding (and getting) wage rises in the with inflation is because if you get a much smaller increase now, you're unlikely to get a greater than inflation increase in a year or two to make up for it, so will be forever be worse off in relative terms as a result.
  19. Last season there was a guy with a 'scanner gun' scanning QR codes from people who had bought via the Fanbase app. Nothing built in to the turnsytles. 95% of people have a season ticket or paid cash (except for first few games where it was app purchases only). As far as I'm aware you can't pay by card at the turnstyles or pie shop.
  20. 1. Annan Athletic 2. Forfar Athletic 3. Stenhousemuir 4. Dumbarton 5. Stirling Albion 6. Stranraer 7. Bonnyrigg Rose 8. Elgin City 9. East Fife 10. Albion Rovers
  21. For full temper tantrums, people need to post their 1-10.
