If the Hamilton laddies don't start next week.mmm well.

Kind of comment from someone more intent on the pop than the football. You do know Hutchison isn’t signed from Hamilton? Dear oh dear. Fair play to you still being able to access the internet at 11 given how long you have been on it for.

Just mute pretty much all the Rose-clique on here Gordon. There’s a very cringeworthy ‘closed-shop’ attitude amongst Rose fans on here. Yourself and HTG are the only ones that speak any sense that appear to actually watch and understand football.

You're the guy that boosted about throwing his own shite at another human being and boosted about kicking a homeless person.

We can take your input and ignore it.  Vile creature.

  3. The SFA appointed Alex McLeish. If all the evidence is that they know nothing about football at the highest level, there is no chance they will have a clue about how to run a proper pyramid.  There is no need nor reason for 2 leagues at the same level in the same geographical area. It remains illogical to have a Highland and Lowland catchment area where teams in one just play in the other.

The whole country knows that any regional structure needs to split central Scotland into 2 areas.  It's one thing the SFA should be learning from the SJFA.  Excuses that the number of licenced clubs is insufficient are valid. But a commitment to split the LL in two from 2020 would be fine. Then you could reconstruct the boundary line now, merge the east, bring in the west, approve the licences  and create at least 2 leagues of 12 - 16 at LL level at the end of next season depending on numbers of qualifying clubs.

    But Alex M Leish.

I think 31st March work will start on pitch. No sure on update on funds needed that’s NPA who own park. Believe majority of above football is in place via BUCFC  or will be very soon

Seems an odd time to start work - how will that affect the remaining fixtures?

Great stuff if the funding is in place.

Wouldn't it be great if Newtown Park was a busy hub for Football in the town. Youngsters of all ages playing on a 3G pitch getting coaching and encouragement through the age groups in the BUCFC. Then players moving up to Youth Football, under 20 football and then Junior (if still around) and Senior levels.
Add to that girls/women's teams , walking football for the over 40's, 50's etc and Newtown Park would be at the centre of the community.

If the various groups get their heads together, forgive and forget the past and move on for the common good a lot can be achieved.

That sounds a fantastic thing if it can be achieved.

Rumours of new teams aside what is the definitive side of getting the new pitch in place as, if memory serves right, that requires all of the above plus a lot of money.

I note that the SFA have just announced a record payout this year, with £1.7m distributed through the various Licencing tiers.  I guess the £12k from last year will therefore increase for EoS Licenced clubs, and more for LL?  Not sure if LL/HL get more than EoS/SoS.

A good start for current Licenced clubs faced with floodlighting costs.

Is the payout possibly dependent upon the type of licence you hold rather than which league you are in? And that payout won’t include Scottish Cup money which is dealt with separately according to their announcement.

Teams like Whitehill Welfare you mean? Try telling them that , they can maybe explain to you  how much effort they've spent trying  to get floodlights over the years. They can then maybe tell you to **** off and crawl back under the stone you've come out of.

I absolutely do mean clubs like that. And those further up the chain too. Musselburgh will have made next to nothing from those cup runs and Bonnyrigg have spent plenty on ground improvements. Not every club relies on a sugar daddy but maybe when he sees the SFA cash he will donate less.

I don't think gradual improvement in facilities is a bad thing, it should be encouraged and it is, via Licence requirements. I think the problem here is the moving of the goalposts for clubs already going through the process.

There also has to be an understanding of timescales required to source funds to do it, and gain the relevant permissions which dont happen overnight.

It opens the SFA up to accusations of protectionism.

Th whole Scottish football set up is open to the accusation of protectionism. Would turkeys vote for Christmas?

The SFA are a hapless bunch that barely manage to keep thins running.

For clubs that are already licenced that have no lights then hell mend them - they will have had a lot of SFA money and invested it elsewhere.

For those entering the process then surely there should be some give and take.

I'm sorry but you have contradicted yourself.  Your first comment is clearly aimed at supporters in general and was answered as such.

Your second comment centres on Bo'ness alone and I think you are just looking for a reaction.

If you think I have contradicted myself I apologise. My comment initially meant that your fans are not the only ones who are questioning how their club is doing - I would ask the same of any fans questioning the clubs direction - how do you propose changing it? I’m not after a reaction - all I ask is what the unhappy supporters want to make things better? I would say the same to Rose fans if “the backbone of our support” were asking for a change.

Unfortunately, poor officials are a malaise affecting Scottish football all the way to the top.  The last week highlighted a few major errors.  How do you sort that?  The million dollar question.

My comment was more aimed at making your supporters happy. Poor officials happen at every level - I am sure they do their best on every occasion - and their decisions will likely even themselves out. Sadly fans tend to forget when they do well for their team and only remember when they don’t.

That chestnut has been around all season. The young man was hooked when he was the one with pace that could have been the telling factor late on.

If our manager has a plan I wish he would tell the players because that performance was clueless.

We stole a point and should be grateful.

I heard a lot of unhappy supporters today and these guys are the backbone of our support so can I suggest that the powers that be get their finger out and sort this current situation sorted. Please!!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t think your supporters are alone in being unhappy. The interesting question is how do the supporters suggest the powers that be sort it?

It’s noticeable that the bitterness of some lithgy fans gets worse, the better kelty are doing.... honestly lads, go support yer team and enjoy yer fitbaw it’s supposed to be a fun thing

I think we all enjoyed our football today coupled with laughing at your official twitter feed. Whoever does it should just go and enjoy their fitbaw, it’s a fun thing, and not get bitter.

No this post is directed straight at you . Just look back at what you posted to an innocent enquiry and tell me again it was a simple answer to a simple question.

I did not need the lecture on economics that you think you're in the position to give, if you think how you replied is a simple answer then you need help.

You say most Bo'ness supporters dislike your club I would imagine supporters of most clubs dislike supporters like you  no matter what club you choose to support

I did look back and in response to your question I quoted you and said “Totally correct”.

So I will tell you again you got a simple answer to your simple query.

Feel free to comment on what I say to other people - this place is all about opinions.

I was not at the negotiations and only asked a simple question. I don't think it merited bringing in inter club rivalries, it's sanctimonious, know alls like you, creating  mischief that can give supporters of other teams a reason to dislike your club.

If I had known the answer I wouldn't have asked the question. There are very few clubs in this league can afford a run of away games.

Like you I'm entitled to my opinion, and that is, I think this is a very poor rule.

I answered your simple question with a simple answer - this post is in response to someone else.

I think most supporters of Bo’ness dislike my club anyway. Lol

If unlucky in cup draws, enough to put some clubs out of the game. Very bad rule.

Might well be - if clubs are paying wages beyond their means and relying on Home cup draws.

I believe it was made very clear to clubs before they even joined the EOS that this was the rule so not sure why everyone is upset at this - unless your club is struggling for cash.

Would this have raised its head if Bo’ness had received a home draw in every cup?
