  1. Nothing wrong with either accent, he's just talking p*sh
  2. There's certainly an element of Scotophobia in some of the UK media and in British popular culture, however, this is the case with many other identities too (Ireland, France, Germany, etc.) and usually to a greater extent. The Scots also have a bad track record of sectarianism against Ireland and rarely raise a peep when it comes to some idiot tabloid or comedian slagging off another country that isn't us. British culture is pretty chauvinistic as a hangover from imperialism and sometimes Scots suffer collateral damage from that, but it's complicated since we're implicated in it too. I find English people brilliant on the whole, though, not that it's proper evidence. They can be a bit patronising about aspects of Scotland but I've experienced the same from French, Americans, and Germans too. It's a big country thing. Charlie Nicholas is a brain donor, back to complaining about journalism.
  3. Maybe he hit his head on the way down: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-stint-lower-leagues-saved-9518386
  4. The amount of people from Greenock I've met who are mad Rangers fans/Tories who simply will not recognise this fact...
  5. Perhaps bullying and harassing a member of staff who was suffering from depression at two separate clubs to the extent that the guy walked away from the game permanently has put employers off. I mean, maybe it's just me, but I think that's wrong.
  6. These people are idiots – that's all you need to know
  7. True enough, what a let down that must've been.
  8. I agree that the role is ill-defined and has very quickly become a poisoned chalice, probably in part because of that. There should absolutely be greater accountability from the SFA. I've seen people on here calling McClair a 'pish-soaked alky' based on him having a red face (which was never an issue for Ferguson) but within the game he's seen as an unusually bright guy and he seems to have taken on the role for the right reasons. I mean, based on what we've seen, how many of you guys would like to work for Regan & co?
  9. Aye, like me writing to old Dougie Rae would make a difference.
  10. To be fair to McClair, he left an excellent job to do it and seems to have met a lot of boardroom resistance. He's a very droll guy and trying to sell a strategy to halfwit skeptics probably wasn't his ideal situation.
