So ultimately, as I said, it's our responsibility.
I thought it was always protocol and common knowledge that if a fan was identified with a pyro on them that they'd be banned? I mean, it's an illegal offense to use one in a public place and has been for many years.
I've seen flares go off at Dens and away grounds since at least the mid-00s.
It is a criminal offence, but clearly some aren’t aware of that as they continue to do it so the club have put out a warning.
I saw at least 2 thrown on the pitch on Saturday, both failed to light. Both fans were chucked out immediately so I’m guessing that’s why a statement has been put out today.
No idea why this is winding people up as unless you’re the one taking pyros it should really bother you?

So we don't employ the stewarding company? I'm sure the fans that plan on taking flares to games will feel suitably admonished and won't do so in further due to that statement.
We hire stewards from another company but they’re not employees of the club, no.
I’m not sure what else the club can do other than what they’ve said. They’ve basically warned people that if they continue take flares to games they’ll be identified and banned which his completely fair.
Id much rather my club was proactive on these things rather than sit back and accept poor fan behaviour like other clubs.
Theres absolutely no need for these things and like the club have said it seems to be a pretty new feature among our fans so it’s good to see the club being proactive with it.
Cant wrap my head around people being critical of this.

Yet it's our stadium and our employees that are ultimately responsible for what happens in our home ground.
The timing of the statement is also poor considering it took a hell of a lot of courage from our away support to muster the strength to even make the trip to Paisley on Saturday. Yet the club's first thought is to give them a telling off. I'm not even sure there was a flare on Saturday, not sure if a St Mirren fan can confirm? @Gareth_Glasgow
Stewards and police are not employees of the club and if fans don’t want a telling off then don’t take flares to the game. It’s pretty simple.

And as I said, I look forward to our statement condemning them from the Celtic support come Sunday.
I’d rather Celtic came out and condemned it to be honest as it’s their club they’re representing.

The communications from the club is only really used to tell the fans off yet will ignore other instances of the same behaviour is my point.
I’m the statement they mentioned that an Aberdeen fan was arrested at the last game

I'm sure there will be more than 1 or 2 on Sunday from Celtic fans with nothing mentioned from the club.
No need to take flares to games end of. The club are quite right to come out and state that.

Well, if this isn't a poorly timed telling off, I don't know what is:
Also, our general manager stating that the weekends result 'shut some pusses' on Twitter was a sight to behold as well.
I suppose the club are at least trying to do something about it. Don’t really have a problem with the statement.

How nice is being able to come on here on a Monday and not have to put up with the insufferable old man danger and his little emoji loving sidekick twinkle?
The weekends results should keep them away for a while.

Took me precisely 32 minutes from Cumbernauld to the stadium car park. Left the house at 1pm… couldn’t feckin’ make it up. Ended up walking around the stadium twice, made a cuppa’ at the Buddie Good Food van last thirty minutes, then, by full time, wished I hadn’t fcuking bothered. Useless chunts.

It's fairly common knowledge that teams, even last season, would target Marshall as he's a clear weak link defensively.
I could check xA figures for Marshall/Kerr at some point today if Dundee fans wanted.
Didn’t work then did it cause we got promoted.

Hope you get to the game on time but I would not underestimate the COP road closures meaning other routes are mobbed. The monsoon weather earlier in the week brought Paisley to a standstill as bad flooding took place under almost all railway bridges. Coming in from the M8 should eliminate most of these routes however Murray St and the bottom of Greenhill Rd were flooded on Wed and heavy rain is forecast for later today. I'd either park around Caledonia Street area and walk 10 mins or take the Linwood junction and come in from the West which would avoid all flooding.
Took us about an hour and a half on a bus.

The Bankhouse in Gilmour Street, just along from the station, will probably show it.
It will be full of Saints fans though.
There aren't any pubs much closer.
The Court bar is nearer in St.James' Street, but no idea whether it's got SKY.
The only one that I definitely know will have it is The Bull Inn in New Street, which is in the centre about 5 minutes away from Gilmour Street.
Both will have Saints fans in it.
Avoid O'Connor's. Will be full of green bigots.
Not bothered about St Mirren fans. I’m sure you’re all good c***s.
Thank You.

Any good pubs around the ground that will show the 12:30 kick off? Got here early and about half a mile from the ground

Griffiths, Gowser that’s probably it. As much as it’s pissing me off Gowser getting back in the side last there’s no way he’d Chuck it.
The lot of them chucked it - Adam the biggest culprit. Seemed more interested in kicking folk than actually playing football.
You could single everyone one them out last night and coming over at full time with your hands in the air apologising means f**k all.

Same old stuff. Give it 3 months after getting a new manager and it will be exactly the same again.
