  1. Anyone going along to a meeting to tell Massone what he has to do to save the club is wasting their breath. With so much owed not only to the Council but to HMRC, the club's finished. Anyone that takes that sort of debt on in partnership with the Italian and try and keep the club going is either as crooked as he is or will be arriving at Almondvale on the window licker's bus.

The fellow Gemmell was a "director" at Morton for a while just before Scott put us in Administration. The guy was on the front page of the Greenock Tele promising a 20,000 seater stadium.

RataMan, are you sure that it is the same Andy Gemmell that was at Morton & owned "The Trophy Room" pub in Greenock - I'm not saying that itin't, I'm just not sure?

  2. The only thing more we could do is to organise fundraising ideas for any potential trust takeover which is not the most prefered option over McDougall taking over. The reason why we are limited to that is that we are trying to bleed Massone and unfortunately in turn the club dry so that he realises that the club cannot function while he is in charge. That is the reason why the comically bad figure of "£149.50" was raised from the appeal, not because people don't care.

Hopefully the meeting will show him this in an instant rather than how we were dragging it out.

I understand your point about trying to bleed Massone and trying to make realise that the club cannot function with him in charge. However, it appears that any organised meeting to show Massone that he is not wanted has not been well attended (was there not one the other saturday when very few "fans" turned up?) that's my point, it seems like not enough people care the way you apparently do? If that is the case then I cant really see much of a future for Livi FC.

  3. That "deluded fool" would be me.

It just gives Massone no chance of peddling the old, "there's not enough people asking for me to go" line.

    "Apathetic Shite", I think not.

This was one of the points I was trying to make to your friend Mr Darwin. It appears to me that there is just NOT enough people that care enough about Livi to make their point to Massone that he has to go? I am certainly not saying that people such as yourself dont care about the future of Livi, but it appears that there are very few people who feel the same way. It seems that the people of Livingston & West Lothian in general have just not taken Livi FC to heart, seems like most could not give a flying f%*k whether Livi survive or not.

Mr Darwin mentioned that Stirling Albion dont exactly have the biggest fan base, that may be true, but the fans they do have seem to be doing thier utmost to get together and save their club - I am sure that there would be a large turn out at any important meeting regarding the future of Stirling FC as appeasrs to me that their support and the people of Stirling (in the main) actually care about their club.

  4. Stirling Albion's figures are even lower but everyone's behind them (including me). Numbers don't come into the equation here: my club is being shafted hugely by a serial liar and that's all that should count. FOOTBALL fans will understand this.

I totally agree, as a Ton Fan I have gone through the same problems as Livi are going through. My point is that Morton & Stirling fans have turned out in numbers and tried to support thier teams when needed (fans games, auctions etc.) and maybe I'm wrong, but I have not seen the same actions from Livi fans? I can assure you that I am a FOOTBALL fan and I never want to see any club going under, but I just think that there is a feeling of "oh well its all done now" from Livi fans & this has something to do with thier relatively small crowds and the short time they have been based in Livingston. From my personal experience, Stirling fans have done everything within their powers to help thier club (buying Pie ovens, setting up Trusts etc), but I am not 100% Livi have enough people that care enough to carry out these types of things?

  5. There is 138 pages on this forum, and god knows how many on Livi Lions.

One thing shows clearly from both. is there a plan of action to save the club. Where is the plan of action to save the club. What groups are working seriously to save livi. I cant see any plan, only name calling and etc.

Should this club really be saved???

For those that care, yes. But unfortunately there does not seem to be enough of them, as attendances at Almondvale over the years has shown.
