  1. Insurance nightmare I bet. Never work with kids or animals or cardboard tanks.
  2. Caveat it with it being the 4 full time sides at home on the bounce in the last quarter. I think the only thing that was worrying was the easy goals given away. Airdrie was decided by a rocket and we clawed our way back in with Scougall's penalty against Falkirk before they scored from two sensational crosses. Queen of the South hurt... I think if we can cut out the errors we will compete against anyone... on the other hand we've made a few in quick succession which is never good for confidence.
  3. I've gotten over my trauma but I was once ambushed by an aggressive peacock in Pittencrieff Park and I assume gang violence has only gotten worse now Dunfermline is a big city.
  4. Heady days. We were just memers back then. One week breaking Ayr hearts then trolling Raith Rovers the next week in a nothing game for us. Is it too late to sign Jordan Kirkpatrick and Ross Stewart on loan?
  5. Can't help but feel wrong forum. Match thread traditionally gets made in the championship thread for the Championship side in the Championship playoff. I just feel like the manager was warning us on Saturday about the injuries so I feel like it might be really threadbare now but even worse to think about if we make it through to next week. Hamilton are a complete unknown quantity for me. Their game on Saturday was poor. Arbroath comfortably the better side but Hamilton held on. I don't see anything to expect they'll be any better going forward against us so it might be a bit of a brutal watch. I would invite everyone to give their energy to Conor Sammon - I just don't see where the goals are coming from otherwise and the big man will equal his greatest ever scoring tally for a season with one goal.
  6. I can confirm I never played Flower of Scotland before the game.
  7. Typical end of season game. Got to give it to McGowan for the lob that was sensational but I suspect a very short highlights tonight. It was evident that the game was getting nursed to avoid any more injuries but fairly sure O'Donnell looked crocked coming away too so not too successful.
  8. Signing up is about giving the tools to fix an error yourself. Get surprisingly a lot of people who type email addresses wrong. I don't always have lots of time to baby those errors. Instead of an email disappearing into the ether and having to seek support so I can manually send you it - there's a section on your account page that displays the tickets, you can download them yourself. Saves important time on a matchday.
  9. On that stat I wonder if there is any player who has been involved in more playoffs than Kevin Cawley.
  10. Logistically, I'm asking please let it not be Falkirk. Three days notice to organise the game. 9,000 at Hampden the other week and the playoff is arguably more important. 9th place championship will be a much quieter affair. I'd assume if Airdrie go through to the final it's more mundane figures. One can hope.
  11. Fairly sure it's just the premiership playoff that cut applies to. Season tickets used to apply for us and I wouldn't imagine we'd do that if we then had to pay a cut out.
  12. Can't help but think the players were absolutely pumped up. Was heavily marketed how big the game was going to be with a possible Montrose win - I think it showed early but the goal for us completely burst any confidence the players were running on. A massive mistake for the second and after that it was very comfortable. I was painfully aware of how shelling the ball 60 yards was ineffective but that was what you turned to time and again - a fall from grace from the slick football previous Montrose sides have managed against us.
  13. This is not my first rodeo. Fully mentally prepared for it going down to the wire and the tensest of 1-1 draw against Dunfermline on the final day.
  14. Very true as shown today. Still think we are a much better proposition to sign for if we can sneak a promotion. Obviously other factors involved too but Queen's Park had a breakout season despite sneaking in unconvincingly last year. Going to be an interesting summer in terms of extensions and signings - last year was an evolution than a revolution from the BF era. I think we could do with new blood.
  15. I do feel that there's a bit of short term memory going on here. Certainly more than a bit of daylight against an abject Clyde and Edinburgh and ultimately comfortable against Peterhead. Narrowly beaten by Airdrie and QoS and finally won against a stubborn Kelty team that's just held the top two to 0-0 draws. Not a bad (granted not exciting) last 6 games. As much as Sammon has chipped in well I feel like if we had a more natural goal scorer we'd have been more than comfortably already qualified for the playoffs. It feels like a return to form to older Alloa seasons.
  16. I'm feeling a strong 0-0 draw vibe coming on Saturday. We never do it the easy way so I fully expect us to be needing a result against Dunfermline on the final day to clinch a playoff spot.
