I am glad that the fuller story came out regarding GN’s departure. I remember listening to him playing “the wounded soldier” on Sportscene not long after his departure from Queens but tellingly he failed to mention the key fact that he was offered a new contract a few months earlier but chose to reject
Think the chairman is talking shite to deflect the heat away from him.

Only way we could get him is on loan with Hearts paying a lot of his wages ..Dundee look favourite to sign him .
Hopefully we can get another midfielder in either McShane or Tidser
Seemingly wants to stay in the central belt and doesnt want to travel to far. Hence why he turned Salford down and isnt keen on dundee.

I'd say we started against Alloa with Oliver on the left and Murray on the right. Lyone was in midfield with Osman and Pybus.
But that's not what I meant.............
Left winger coming in

Heard that they are hoping to have 3 players in by deadline day. Berra is seemingly close to signing. Along with a winger and a midfielder.

I am not sure but Kieran Wright is ginger in all his photos, the goalie today didn't look ginger.

I heard the manager was at Hamilton races today watching a potential player for the first team.
He was so impressed with Dougie the Doonhammers performance, (he won the mascots race), that he’s straight into the first team squad tomorrow.
Theres a rumour that it was actually Assistant manager Dougie Anderson in the suit but as yet that’s not been confirmed.
Well done Dougie. You done us proud!

reading he papers today it would appear that we have 2 players long term injuries. 2 players doubtful tomorrow. 3 younger players unavailable and we have only played 2 league games so far this season. Division 1 here we come?

Possibly or maybe the parent club would like the receiving club to make some contribution to the loanee`s wages.
I believe we couldn’t afford the contributions to bring zanatta in.

As I’ve said before, as far as I’m led to believe, there will be no new signings unless they play for nothing or if their parent clubs allow them to come on loan, without queens paying a penny towards their wage. Hence Naysmith’s interview in the sun today.

If you went to Palmerston every home game you would not have the opinion that dykes is an asset to the team
You obviously don’t go to every home game either. If you did you’d realise that dykes is one of the most improved players in that team. If we were to loose him it would severely weaken the team.

She also dragged the good name of Queen of the South F.C. through the gutter with her embarrassing social media rants among several other thingsThe girl was sticking up for herself, the same as JT stuck up for himself.
When backed into a corner, I’d come out fighting too. I’m sure everyone has skeletons in their closet. It’s just you never hear them because we don’t work for a football club and nobody would be interested.

Why does SHE still sit in the directors box during home games ?I’d imagine it was for a number of reason. She’s friends with the chairman. It’s good eye candy in the boardroom. And also for her own safety, as I’d imagine she would get dogs abuse in amongst Joe public.

It could be worse. I know a St Mirren fan who happened to be sitting in front of Stevie Mallan when his boy missed a sitter
Yeah, I wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of Stevie Mallan unless he has mellowed with age. Total nutcase when younger. Although I’m sure no one would like to hear their son get slagged!

OK so if we presume that there is 0 money left for players/loans, we must presume that Naysmith believes the young players are ready otherwise the squad would be far too small. I'm sure Queens fans would love nothing more than to see some of these youngsters break into the first team but there isn't much evidence to suggest they're ready yet is there? I would love to be proved wrong...
If we will be relying on the young players as much as that then they should be given more game time surely?
Would it have been better to spend the Harkins money on a more mobile midfielder?
Because there is no money, then having the young lads on the bench is the only option, whether the manager rates them or not. I don’t think people realise how tight money is. Us fans always think it’s a bottomless pit, where we should go and sign x,y and z. The worry is that the transfer window shuts and out star player gets injured. I’ve a feeling this could be a long, tough year. If we manage to avoid relegation this year then Naysmith deserves a medal.

You do realise loan players don’t come cheap either ?
Everyone at the club knows we need to strengthen the squad but only if we can afford itExactly. We and the board all realise the squad needs strentghened but only if we can afford it. It looks like we can’t afford it. I’ve heard that the manager won’t even be getting any of the prize money they made from the bet Fred.

Any rumours about signings/loan signings?! The bench is very weak!
Yeah, the rumour is there will be no signings, as the club is skint.

That’s very sad to hear about Alan Ball. A true club legend.
Condolences to his family and friends.
I’m sure he’ll be away to the goalies union in the sky.

If we ever manage to get Alan Martin fit I’m sure we’ll tighten up at the back.
From memory, Jack Leighfield’s goals against column won’t read too favourably. He must average around 2 goals conceded per game.Who’d be a goalkeeper? You get the blame for everything, whether it’s your fault or not. Young players, especially goalkeepers need support not constant critisism. Leighfield has done well considering he was basically thrown in at the deep end. Yes he’s made mistakes but it happens with all goalkeepers. With the right coaching the lad has got a chance. Martin I believe could be playing against Clyde, as he continues to build up his comeback from injury. Hopefully he will get back fit and both goalkeepers can push each other on

Really? So you think the arena covers the players wages? Wow! I really hope your right but I very much doubt it.
