  1. You can't read much into the Sons today. We have played so many trialists, hardly a settled team. Once we got the signed players on, we controlled the game. Remember most weeks we have to play differently as we are set up to counter attack. Today we were meant to be favourites. So it's really all new, however against a better team ( Partick Thistle ) we employed our usual tactics and won.

  2. Number 5 was horrendous, glad we took the game seriously in the second half with the changes we made. Had to laugh at the Bankies fans who after a couple of pushes claimed its a mans fame etc, then spent the entire second half looking for free kicks.

  3. We should be looking to fill our end up with reduced rates for all groups. Instead of free tickets. Have packages for groups of games. Like 4 games for the price of 3, bring a friend for a fiver etc. I could go on but it needs someone at the club with a bit of vision.

Just looked back and the early bird price has rocketed from £225 and £235 to £260.

The full season ticket without the early bird discount was £250 for 16/17. That is now £270 for 17/18.

Thats absolutely awful and for me personally it's becoming harder to justify such expense.

I got my season ticket earlier when they had the first sales. It works out at £11 for me and my boy per match. Which is great value, I'm glad I didn't hang about to pay these prices.

  5. On another note, actually random but today I met Harry Cairney of Brechin City fame. Spent about an hour chatting to him about the days we played each other regularly, he then told me he played against us about 36 times. How many players could have played more games than him against the Sons. Some stat that. Decent guy too. They do say you shouldn't meet your here's but... He had good chat.

  6. As a fan who has had a season ticket to watch the Sons at Boghead, Cliftonhill and The Rock (CID) and seen them play at the likes of Stranraer, Brechin and Elgin I much prefer going to Tannadice, Falkirk and Easter Road. Not that the lower leagues is bad as they are normally good days out but there is something about going to a big stadium and silencing the home support. Long may it continue.

  7. Really happy for all the team at DFC. The players have been brilliant this year to get us to this position. Not only on the park but off it. They give up their time to chat to my boy and his wee pal who are 6 years old. These guys will be fans for life because they the players make a difference. My wee boy just loves Alan Martin and yesterday I had the worst view of the game because he wanted to sit as close to him as possible, but Alan is genuinely interested in Lewis asking him questions etc not just a wee high 5 coming out the tunnel as is all the players. Little things like Colm giving the boys mini eggs at Easter for example show that their is people in the club who want to make it a great experience for the fans, so to sum it up I'm glad I support our wee club. Mon the Sons.
