The Hoose put on a fantastic 2nd half display of controlled attacking football to comfortably win the "near derby" match with Bathgate in glorious weather at Park View on Sat.

Whilst Bathgate 1st half played well and looked good, it was a bit against the run of play that the Hoose scored 2 quick goals by Michael Wallace to lead 2-1 at the break, as Bathgate were the better team in the 1st half IMO. However the 2nd half brought out a different Hoose team that controlled the game for the remaining 45 mins and even missed a penalty into the bargain. Hoose were by far the better team by a mile 2nd half and showed how to play positive attacking football. After the missed penalty on 64mins  Aaron Connolly scored on 71 and again via the penalty spot 82 mins.  IMO it could have been 6-1 to the Hoose based on how the 2nd half went.

Wee word for the ref who IMO had a good game, letting the play flow and got both penalties spot on with no complaints from Bathgate players over each.

Still top of the table with several other games producing outcomes that suited the Hoose....16 points from 18.....great start.

Lets hope the 2nd half performance on Saturday starts this Saturday against Dundee East Craigie in the cup.

Well done to the lads....GO THE HOOSE!!

:thumsup2 Another great display and agree it could have easily been 6.1 hopefully the form continues on Saturday.

Another away clean sheet and the 100% start maintained for the Hoose.

Fauldhouse slightly edged the first half and went in 0-1 at half time. Livi got a man sent off but from then on actually looked a lot better without really creating anything. 0-1 FT

Once again, a great team performance from the Hoose. Amazing spirit and organisation saw them through. Livi have nothing to worry about, physically one of the strongest teams in the league and once it clicks for them they will be a very tough team to crack.

Onwards to Pumphy at home on Wednesday night!

    Spot on :thumsup2

Hattrick I understand you trying to defend your player but what he did here was wrong and there's no defending it.
The player in question here is Jack Currie he was wearing the number 8 shirt.
I know him from when he played with the Gow. Unfortunately I was never making the Gow game at Wishaw by the time I got home from work so the drive to Larkhall from Stonehouse was a no brainer but I wish I'd stayed at home because what I saw has left me disgusted.
The first piece of aggression I saw from Jack Currie was about 3 or 4minutes before the main punching incident when Larkhall had a kick at the Carluke end. The ball was cleared but I saw Jack headbutt the Carluke defender in the face (the same boy who he later punched). It happens at all levels but it shouldn't Nothing seems to have been mentioned about this but I did hear Larkhall players admit that they saw this to who I take it were Carluke officials standing beside the injured lad after the game.
The game went on for a few minutes then I saw the Carluke defender running behind Currie and there was definitely a clash of heads there when Jack stopped and the defender ran into the back of him. Was it a deliberate head butt into the back of Jack's head by the defender? I don't know but my opinion is no. What happened next was as the defender was looking ahead to the game Jack punched him on the face which knocked the Carluke player out. My opinion on this is it was a cheap shot. A cowarly aggressive act by Currie as I said in my earlier post.
I didn't see any elbows thrown throughout the incident as was also mentioned.
It was only after this that I saw Jack head starting to bleed and getting a bandage applied at the side of the park .I've no 'my player your player' involvement and what happens to Jack Currie for his actions is up to the club or authorities but for nothing to be done would be disgraceful.
I've said what I saw, no ifs buts or maybes.

Just came across this and no chance this is what hapened Jack was at The Hoose for 2 seasons and i can count on 1 hand the amount of cards he had and never witnesed him lifting his hand something serious must have happened to him Mr Byrne has not got such a clean discaplinary record from what i have heard .

Jack Currie will be a massive loss, not a prolific goal scorer as a No 9. But offers so much, Strong as an ox and puts in 110%. Drags defenders all over the place, holds the ball up very well. IMO I expected a senior lower league Outfit to snap him up last season - where is he away to ??
Player turnover at the Hoose in recent times is a concern... 2 most recent players Jack Currie and Gribbs would be first team starters for me. I do understand and appreciate there may other reasons that the paying punter is unaware off.

Can I ask why its worrying? And yes there is loads the paying fans don't see or hear about

    Agree 100%!

Another player that left who i feel we have missed big time is JC the goalie, probably the best i have seen at Junior level great shot stopper and his distribution was brilliant.

Anytime i have watched The Hoose this season the big lad Jack has been a standout and was gutted when i heard he had left would like to wish him all the best for the future.

The jack Currie of last season was a stand out and he had a superb season this season he hasn't reached anywhere close to that level

All about opinions but i disagree with yours, his hold up play and work rate was excellent and the amount of  goals and assists he created for us he will definitely be a big lose to us !

Might be some good players , results suggest they don't make a good team though.

If you have watched them you would know they are a good team gelling together, you obviously have not so your pointless comments mean nothing.Come back with your slavers at the end of the season!

Definitely 2 points dropped today no doubt about it.
The Hoose were quite impressive and dominated in the first half, yet went in a goal down. Could have had 3 or 4 in the first half, need to be more clinical in front of goal and had a little misfortune as well.
My MOM was Darren Gribben, when he is on form he is a class above.
Dissapointed with the Indiscipline at the sending off, red card all day long.
The focus and drive should have been on getting the winner and the 3 points, no need for the challenge.
Referee did get a number of other key decisions wrong.
But great value for the paying punter in the pissing rain.

Glad i managed to catch this game today game was 100 mph,my unbiased opinion Fauldhouse deserved all 3 points the big lad Curry up front for Fauldhouse was a standout as was the right back for Fauldhouse i think his name is Sammy if not i stand corrected money well spent and my steak pie was delicious and cooked to perfection :thumsup2

  13. Great game yesterday thought Fauldhouse had a great team performance your big number 9 totally bullied their defence, the young lad in goals was brilliant, right back what an engine he has, could go on and on money well spent hopefully get to another game soon!!
