Hamilton, QoS then a run of Raith, Thistle, Killie, Arbroath, which would take us up to the 8th of January. 6 points out the first 2 is absolutely vital for us.
He's been working with them since pre season, and the defence specifically, so not entirely blameless. And his transfer history is about as honking as Hopkin's, I don't think anyone is holding out much hope for that.
If it is 4 out in January then surely it must be Afolabi as he's on loan and Houston as he's out of contract. The other 2 could well just be loans for some of the youngsters. Although knowing us we'll prob sell Aero and let Moff go.
Even a tidbit that the club will be making signings in January would tide fans over for now. I think that is what the club is going for the now, getting through to January with as much damage limitation as possible (although can't be much worse atm) and praying that duffy is able to turn it around to some extent. Would certainly explain Duffy's tactics as of late.
Just don't be handing out any 2 year deals in January to new signings.
Think it's bad now wait till we come up against a team in the top half of the table...
Expect Duffy's next quote to be "We have no divine right to be on the same pitch as a top half team"
Afolabi will be easier to punt as he's on loan but the others ain't leaving without a payoff and no club in their right mind is going to pick them up in this league and pay them the money they are on now, which is generous by all accounts.
Yes we have to start doing it ourselves now and can't really be depending on other teams being as bad. Horror at the thought. We need every January signing to be a success, even if it's just one or two. Bonus if we manage to punt a few too.
If Duffy continues the trend of signing duffers in January then I wouldn't even want to know the amount of money splurged in the playing budget this season.
Moff also shut down a breakaway from the penalty yesterday which he got a yellow for, something our defenders have failed to do several times this season to our detriment.
