I lived in Ellon until 2015. Driving to Aberdeen was an experience. Toll of Birness was worse though. Far too many cocky drivers caused accidents there.

Know what you mean, built a house in Foveran and moved before the huge influx and mass change in rush hour traffic to and from Aberdeen.

Was on the road to Longside today again, and road work hassles apart, the Ellon to Toll and beyond!!! Sorry, slipped into fav' movie mode! Yes the Ellon -Toll - Longside single carriageway is full of Audiots etc. Nothing against those that can command a high wage and lifestyle, but it sure turns most of them into '#*ck everybody else drivers'

Don't know if you live in Aberdeenshire. However, they should have made Balmedie-Tipperty dual carriageway long before now. It's dual between Ellon and Tipperty and then suddenly it's back to single lane. Very dangerous if you don't know the road.

Exactly!! Not sure how old you are, but when you think of the accidents over the years and volume of traffic for the fish industry and more recently oil related articulated lorries, the area councils have failed the people for years.

Compared to the central belt we are way behind.

I would not stick a bacon and sausage between two butteries. I, however, would stick them in a roll...or as the Aberdonians seem to call it - a bap.

I'm Aberdonian and I'm ashamed at their (lack of) culinary prowess.

Sorry Allan, got to pull you up on that one. The Non-North East 'roll' is in fact called a 'softie' in Aiberdein.

And for all those out with that grand place, that are interested, the Aiberdein flat bread based highly salted delicacy, (best bought from Aitkens Bakery to maximise the salt content) are called 'rowies', as in you fancy a 'rowie' or 'roll', as in you want a dollop of further salted butter on your 'rowie'?!!
