If the season is currently Aug-June, then your equivalent "Summer" season is something like Feb-Nov or Mar-Dec. It's still Winter football, with the disadvantage that your tail-end of season catch-up matches are being played in Nov or Dec. Countries playing summer seasons generally play fewer league games and usually only one cup.Good point which would partly be solved by proper fixture lists. And there is frankly no need for an 11 month season in the juniors. Never been able to understand why amateurs get fewer weekends off every year than those in the top leagues earning a proper living from the game.

The problem with summer football (and I'm a supporter of summer football) is that if the juniors are to move towards a pyramid structure at some point in the near future then you really need to run to the same season calendar as the SPFL. And that never seems to get off the ideas page with the SFA.
I think all football should be played in the summer. Sitting at East End Park in February is shite when it's a cold day - even worse if you're at an exposed junior ground. You'd almost certainly get more punters but i wouldn't support it until the seniors move that way too.

I can only go by Scottish cup game they played Lothian but it's not a lot... Mind you it's more than anyone will take to Kelty.
To be fair - that match was played quite close to the prison.

'Move on' says the guy who can't quite get past that Kelty decided to quit the juniors instead of spending x number of years arguing fruitlessly with other clubs and the SJFA and has now spent weeks haranguing a Kelty committee member on here...
