Great answer David, pity i was told 2 seasons back on here i wasn't welcome at Cambuslang with my grandchildren by a moron claiming connection with CRFC.

    Hi ,

Sorry that this happened and I am ashamed if anyone did say this to you. I’d like yourself and your grandson to come along as my guest to a match of your choice and I Will give you guys a tour , meet the players and watch the game from the hospitality area and a few beers. Since I have been in charge we are trying to move forward and I hope you accept this invitation. Any furthers questions please ask.

    Kind Regards

Monstrosity of a cambuslang new strip. They really are a toxic club playing up on old firm thing and all the carry on last couple of seasons.

As an ex hoover employee It would make you weep what's become of a once proud club.

    Hi The Bairns,

Thank you for your input . To clarify we are in no way a toxic club as you suggest . If you want some figures - go on this then we have sold 160 strips in 2 days now I may be wrong here but I would suggest that in the many years since you hung up your overalls at The Hoover we haven’t sold that many strips . We sold 8 last season .  Have we touched on an old design of a Rangers Strip -yes but it means that the club can now go and buy a new tractor. So for me it was a worthwhile campaign .

When the hoover factory Sadly  closed and many good local people lost jobs it meant that CRFC lost a huge amount of footfall both attending matches and visiting our social club . I believe 10,000 people were employed there at 1 time. Which has hit the club hard and has never fully recovered from this closure.

I am happy for yourself and a friend to come along to a match next season and see the good work that is being done in the community and our fantasy academy. Hopefully we can change your opinion.

    Kind Regards

For a club with f*ck all they arent half spending the cash again. I read somewhere they are doing up the office, their stand and ground works being done!?

Sometimes it is better to say nothing . Yes we are doing up our office with donations ie people giving us things ie old desks and chairs and a local shop Is giving us paint. It has not had any work done on it in approx 30 years - it badly needs done.

If you are a fan as you say you are you would know that the concrete on the terracing is crumbling in areas and has never even been redone. We again are doing this ourselves.

i thought I’d heard it all to be honest but coming on and moaning that we are trying to improve facilities is a first.

What's the latest at Somerville recently?

Has the management team instability been rectified and the claim by the Nivens regards monies due, surely they are chancing their arm?

Shame to see the endless amount of turmoil around such a famous club and hopefully they can move on from it.

    Hi Archie,

Thanks for the post. I Wouldn’t normally come on here but it’s the only way to update some people.

Regarding the management team. We are happy with the management team . It’s been a difficult season but I think I it’s hard starting from scratch like we did 18 months ago . Hopefully we can stay in the league this season.

Regarding the Nivens I can’t really comment to much on that but the club is clear that it does not anyone any money. The club is now debt free - which is very different from when we as a committee started Jan 19.

Regarding turmoil - it’s been a very difficult period but I’m sure the club will come out the other side stronger and continue to represent the community for a long time yet.

To reply to the other poster . We are considering our options in regards to league set up and a committee decision will be made in the next week .

Hope that answers your questions chaps.

On behalf of everyone at Rutherglen Glencairn, we would like to send our best wishes to defender Kris Gebbie after the knee injury he suffered this afternoon. Kris is still in hospital at the moment, and we will give more information when we feel it is appropriate. We would also like to thank the staff and officials of Auchinleck Talbot who were most helpful in caring for Kris while the game continued.

Get well soon Kris. Great lad and great player.

If it did happen then its shocking but tbh i find it hard 2 believe what ur saying.r u a fan or player for cambuslang?

    Mon the papers

I am a fan . Lewis Kinnaird our left back was subjected to being called a dirty *********** as he left the pitch . For the record Lewis isn’t and has a season ticket at parkhead . But regardless it’s wrong and I’m sure lessons will be learned on both sides.

Ffs lies lies lies the orange b######s shout and am gonnie shag ur daughter. Yes we have a small group of loud and proud bankies fans who wear bankies tinted glasses 24/7 but none of them who goto that level and shout stuff like that. This thread should be deleted before more lies and shite is spread.

    Mon the papers

I’m sure Billy Campbell and Lewis Kinnaird would tell you differently . Why would I make that up? As I said it’s a small minority but it doesn’t make it acceptable.

None of them are denying it though, same can’t be said for the other stuff.

I wasn’t there so don’t know what happenned but if Mr Bamford has done something untoward then I’d fully expect our club to deal with it. Can the same be said for the Cambuslang management for any carry ins they were involved in or while it continue go be a case of “it wasn’t their fault, the big bad men shouted at them”??

There are wallopers in our support, no doubt about it. It doesn’t make it ok to react to it. Show a bit of class and rise above it.

You weren’t there . How can you even comment on it? It’s not my issue whether Clydebank deal with it - that is is upto them . The west region have to deal with and I am fairly certain Mr Bamford should be dismissed or resign.

Our management team were subject of constant abuse throughout the game “orange b*****ds “”I’m gonna shag your daughter “ just 2 of the many disgusting shouts . Now I know the majority of bankies fans are good people but let’s be honest if people are shouting things like that you are going to react . There is certainly a small element of your fan base that ruin your good reputation.

Amyway it’s done now we move on .

Classy post . Never mentioned the chairman said committee members and well done in your investment.......

Merely stating facts . 4 people left . 3 of which had been on the committee for less than 5 years collectively. Mr miller (ex chairman) is the only 1 of note who left - so your point is not a great 1 tbh.

I’m going to leave this thread now but just to answer your reply, no I don’t go to your games but like I said I am local so know that it’s no secret how the club is run or why former committee members left I’ve been to three of your games this season all with same outcome and behaviour. All the best ...

The previous chairman left as he has cancer . The clubs new sponsor Planzed - John and Nikki Niven have helped take the club to this level with a great level of investment. Also nice to see viewparker like this post - I am not surprised.

Utter denial mate keep looking through your money laundered specs . I’m not talking about the fight at the dug out I’m talking about after the final whistle when your players were intent on starting a fight with any fan who would react and this was before they got to the entrance of the dressing rooms where obviously I cannot see what goes on. How many games have you completed where you haven’t had a red card or someone reported for their behaviour in a game you haven’t won? Now do you see the pattern

My money launder specs? Really?  Mr Bamford accepted his actions caused the second altercation. You seem to know a lot about us for someone who doesn’t go to our games.

The fight broke out after your full back dragged our player off the pitch rather than letting our physio come on to treat him - that’s why the referee gave him a second yellow and sent him off

I can’t comment on the incidents after this as I wasn’t near the entrance to the changing rooms but let’s not kid ourselves that anything other than the actions of Breslin started the whole sorry escapade.

For what it’s worth I agree that Bankies worked incredibly hard and also feel we were fortunate to take all 3 points. Cambuslang have some good players and it’s a shame that the antics of their management team overshadow that at times.

Your physio assaulted Jack Breslin. The situation had settled and Mr Bamford caused the trouble to reignite this. All the best.

A bit of a discipline issue? I attended this game yesterday as it’s just 5 minutes from my house and I have never witnessed anything like it. The Cambuslang bench are an embarrassment to both the club and to football constantly arguing with the fans including death threats outrageous. The scenes at the end were worse it seemed the Lang players were not for leaving the pitch unless they had fought with someone and I also felt sorry for the Lang committee who looked powerless or scared to do anything. Surely the SJFA can’t allow this to continue ? I actually enjoyed the game between two good teams but apart from that a shambles of an afternoon.

The fight was caused by the person on the Clydebank bench grabbing our player which resulted in a large altercation. Once this was settled and a good match brought to a close which Clydebank shaded there was another incident at the tunnel which was caused by the president of the west region a Mr Matt Bamford who grabbed one of our coaching staff by the neck - leading to a large altercation. Mr Bamford at first denied the incident but then realised his grave mistake . Mr Bamford apologised and was very remorseful after the match . However if any of our management staff done this To Mr Bamford they would face a lengthy ban . So what will the repercussions be for Mr Bamford? Surely his position has to be under threat ?

So before you guys come on here I think it’s quite important that you have all the facts .

On the field Clydebank worked like dogs and I can see them going on to have a very successful season and I wish them all the best.

Oh dear not good. Who have use got next week? How are the new signings performing?

Breslin , Faulds and kinnaird have all done well imo . Simeon a hard 1 to replace but he wanted to go so not much club could have done differently. We are playing at a much higher standard now and we haven’t been at it of late but I’m sure the boys will turn it around soon .

Indiscipline is costing us big time, another two sent off today at nil-nil.

A horrendous refereeing display . A good tackle = a red card . The captain said that was a soft red card and was shown a second yellow . I just hope things balance themselves out.

To be fair your manager came over before the game and apologised.

Well obviously lesson learned as I said it's not the norm and the gaffer has apologised as we all agree it's not the time nor the place for such things

I was at wishaw game last season and the songs were on . To be fair it works so got to get on with it if it helps bring people in .

Don’t think the financial side of it would have been much different from cambuslang or peasys

I don't know about what Peasy had to offer, but we don't pay even remotely close to what Cambuslang are rumoured to offer.

I think we both know now that is false don’t we.
