Is Kellie Road OK for parking?

It isnt usually however when theres big events on it is so I imagine it would be okay, quite a bit of parking the other side of the railway at bleachingfield or countess road even just continuing along countess road u would reach the grammar school which is about a 10 minute walk and has plenty of parking

  2. For anyone thinking about attending the game vs dunbar tomorrow, theres a lot of exciting things going on along side the football. The Dunbar Relay For Life in support of Cancer Research UK will be happening on the running track next to the stadium, there will be a few stalls and activities going on throughout the day for people to get involved in, I also believe people are allowed to walk a few laps around the track to help the teams involved.

Not much parking will be available at hallhill as the main carpark will be closed an an overflow car park will be used instead though theres lots of random places you can park around Dunbar thats a short walk to the ground. Hallhill will also be serving food and drink before and after the game for anyone looking for pre or post match pints :)  the pies at the game are also unreal.

Weathers looking good for tomorrow a great chance to go down and get behind the boys in Murrays first game in charge and support a lifelong rovers fan in his testimonial. Spectators will be right beside the pitch so you get a great view of the action and a chance to hear all the talking on the pitch.

  3. Thought zanatta was different class last night, caused all sorts of issues for them. Played well up until his goal but then after he scored he looked a different player, running at the defence with confidence taking folk on and getting past them. I know its only against brechin but if we can get a bit of confidence in him i think we have a player.

Your point was that people lose their shit when we lose a player brought through the youth system. When did we lose Vaughan?

My point about Vaughan is that when he got loaned out to Dumbarton people lost their shit saying funding the development squad is a waste if we are just going to loan out our players which I agree with, but whats the point in bringing a player through the development squad, developing him into a first team regular and then letting him leave for a low fee with no realistic replacement that is as good as them? Callachan, just like Bates and Vaughan, came through the youth system that the fans help fund so why should it be acceptable to let him leave for a low fee just because he has played more games?

I don't know every player who's available all over the country or even farther afield, it's not my job too. The point I'm making is that Matthews and Callachan are too similar and if letting Callachan go allows us too bring in a player who plays further forward, picks out more decisive passes and can actually shoot a football then I wouldn't be against seeing what's out there.

There's a list on the p&b twitter page showing a list of all transfers so far including players that have been released and on that list I can't see any attacking minded centre mid that would drop down to join us. If you want an attacking minded centre mid we could always get Jordan Thompson back on a season long loan? Also what happened to everyone losing their shit when we lose a player that came through our youth system or does that not apply with Callachan?

If we could shift Callachan's wages and bring in another centre midfielder I'd be all for it, Matthews and Callachan are similar players and Matthews is the far better of the two imo. I've no doubt Callachan may be a decent player on his day in this league but the amount of possession he wastes and the number of terrible 30 yarder shots he blazes miles wide or over annoy me on a weekly basis.

Who would you bring in to replace him then?

  7. The thing about Callachan though is that he will try things that other centre mids won't do. He will try through and over the top balls and of course they wont work every time but when they do its fantastic to watch he also doesn't stop running and will get stuck into challenges, however, he does have a big problem with consistency. I think we need to keep Callachan because we won't get anyone better this season, maybe next if we get promoted but we need to keep him for this season atleast

  8. Personally, I would be gutted if Callachan left, hes been a great servant to our club and I honestly cant understand why people are wanting him to leave. Say he does leave then who would we be able to attract to replace him thats the same standard of player he is?  Callachan was excellent under McKinnon and should be able to walk this league he is a key player and we cannot lose him
