  1. Bray is king of the vignettes but he needs to make it crossover into a live arena where they don't have the post production and quick jump cuts and video effects. The Wyatts used to have great video promos back in the day, but when they eventually debuted Bray was just a guy in a hat with awkward quiet music sitting in a rocking chair. It was deflating as f**k. This new character feels so different and his live return needs to be fast and impactful or it's going to fall flat quickly. Instead we'll probably end up with him hosting the firefly show in the ring with a sock puppet and a cardboard box. I have no faith they won't mess it up.

The adult entertainment career is just a convenient excuse they can use for me.  For me she was never going to go in in any guise when she was alive, because I don't think they trusted that she would play ball.  After all the things she's said, would you give her a live mic?  And with HHH now running large parts of the company, I can't imagine he's too happy to have her standing there with a mic after all the horrific stuff she's accused him of.

Now she's deid, I think they probably would have put her in on her own, but putting her in as DX serves a few purposes for them.  They can "pay tribute" in their own way, without it being all about her, and then quietly forget about her.  Shame, she absolutely deserves to be in, but her very public struggles put paid to that.

Said in a much better way that I managed after many accidental Thursday night pints  I'm almost as much of a shambles as Joanie was.

In her later life Chyna was a complete PR liability, I don't blame the execs at all for disregarding her. For all we know, this could always have been the case during her time with the WWF, but as we see all to well these days, the office can mostly bury any questionable personality traits before the fans get a real glimpse of their life, especially so back in the pre social media days.

On the Chyna HoF induction. If everyone is so happy about her going in, why not just her? Why DX? It's deliberate to not shine too much light on her, but still ticking off that box.

Can't have a PG rated public company with a target audience of 8-13yrs going around parading a big time up the bum porn star as a named inductee of their hall of fame, right? In-ring achievements and professional influence & impact are one thing, but the combined collateral damage from her very very very VERY public breakdowns have made sure that any chance of a solo induction in this world are as close to zero as you can get.

The Hulk Hogan vs Mr McMahon street fight was a rough watch. I wish it was in a "so bad that it's good" kinda way but it really wasn't. McMahon's facial expressions and the leg drop off the ladder through the announce table are the only reason this is even worth a rating. Long and miserable match, unless you're a big Hogan fan in which case you'll likely love it. 1.5/5

Wait a minute, a WWE employee... Are they finally on board with Warrior's idea of rewarding staff from behind the scenes?

Anyone any idea how bad Clark’s injury is/how long he might be out for? Bell was fine I guess yesterday but wouldn’t really want him in there for sustained period

Getting scanned on Monday to assess. Hopefully it's not a tear. I would rather have Bell stepping in instead of the burnley laddy who had about 10 minutes of career experience. That switch during the window could end up being significant if clark is out for more than a couple of games.

They received a lot of stick around five years ago for mentioning lower league scores and stopped...

For mentioning one lower league score in particular, and lingering on one seaside division game each week in particular. Almost as if the governing body had painted its self into a corner and it was costing them hundreds of thousands of pounds to satisfy contractual obligations, so they punted coverage to the "national" broadcaster for free to cover their tracks.

    Perhaps.

It's over the past few years that I've come to accept, I'm not a wrestling fan. In fact, I'd go as far as saying, I find wrestling incredibly boring. If you gave me the choice between a Kurt Angle vs Chris Benoit in their prime hour long, iron man, submission match or Mick Foley vs Triple H street fight (Royal Rumble 2000, I'm looking at you), then I'd pick the latter every time.

I've barely watched Raw, or indeed WWE for the best part of 5-6 year now. I tune in for the major scenes such as Rumble's and Wrestlemania's, but, as I commented on last years Mania thread, Undertaker might be shite these days, but he's still the hook for me. I'm an absolute sucker for a great character - A Kane, a Mankind, an Undertaker - Hell, give me an Abyss! There just doesn't seem to be a great deal of that sort of shtick these days. I watched wrestling to suspend my belief, not for the in ring quality. These days, I'm just hanging on for the nostalgia!

I have the Network and watch the odd PPV live, but none of the telly shows (Raw etc). If something big happens I’ll chase it down on YouTube the next day. Rumble and WM are a must, because they put effort into those shows and the hype is fun, but the rest I have little interest in. I look up news out of habit, but really nothing about the current product interests me.

Id gladly watch that Rumble 2000 street fight 100 times over though. First PPV I ever saw live thanks to Channel 4.

  9. The indie scene is the strongest it’s been in over 25yrs, Ryder needs to be set free and show that he can finally live up to his potential. Never going to happen in the current situation.

Directionless midcarders like him can make a solid living off their reputation these days. Get a bit of momentum behind him and the E will come calling again. Look at Drew, textbook example
