  1. That sounds promising then. We've booked St. Andrews for the Sunday. I've noticed it says the gates open at 7am. Is there any real need to get there as early as that?
  2. Bought tickets for this today. My wee boy is really keen on his golf, both playing and watching (on TV). This will be the first time we'll have been to a competition in person so looking forward to it. Must confess I'm a little confused about the tournament though. Good prize money, Ryder Cup points available - yet a host of celebrities involved too. Also the website has several (around ten) pro golfers listed who are playing, but will there be more than just those?
  3. Would agree with @Twinkle . Not a penalty, and a booking for a dive seemed harsh
  4. Shades of Robbie Nielson v Celtic from Stephenson there. What a f**king idiot. As ever, after a defeat Goodwin will get it in the neck, but although possibly lacking a cutting edge I thought we were decent in the first half. Second half was poor granted, but the subs did make a difference. The actions of one moron have stopped the tie going to extra time, and from there who knows how it would have panned out.
  5. Isn't every game on the Viaplay International YouTube? But I think without commentary
  6. Not surprised at the reaction to the line up. But I'm not surprised at the line up itself. We played well on Thursday and given the opposition, Clarke was always unlikely to start Gauld or Doak
  7. Omega Masters was a decent watch today. Caught a bit on Friday in glorious sunshine with the snow capped mountains in the background. Yesterday I gather there was a gale and play had to stop for a bit today due to fog. I suppose a golf course in the mountains is going to experience all different weathers, but Friday had me checking out how to get to Sion
  8. Disastrous result today. Manager must be under pressure now
  9. After last night, you might want to reevaluate this
  10. A lot of competition for that particular accolade
  11. Great win and massive credit to the manager for it. Ferry, Graham and Adeboyega all outstanding. Noticed Trapanovski with an ice pack around his knee at full time and Docherty clearly hurt his back (again) late on. Holt obviously injured too. Thing is we've built a decent enough, and sizable, squad and injuries were always going to come. Hopefully we've now got a wee bit of strength in depth to cope
  12. Is there a bar at Bayview? I seem to remember being in one a long time ago (can't have been long after the stadium opened). Taking today's game in and was thinking of nipping into the bar before kick off
  13. I went to a pre season friendly between Whitehills and Buchanhaven Hearts a few weeks ago. Finished 10-1 to Hearties and could have been more. Nevertheless, Buchanhaven are from a division above and an away win was always expected. Since then Whitehills have lost 12-0, 4-0, 4-0, 11-0, 9-0 and yesterday 13-0. Their manager has packed in tonight. Hopefully they can find someone and if nothing else start keeping the score down a bit. I know they went in abeyance for a season a couple of years ago. Results like these won't make it particularly appealing for anyone to take the job on and you find yourself worrying they might not last the season (or even until next month)
  14. I'd be surprised to see us ever starting with both VDS and Moult, but definitely a good option to have later in the game. We may very well be looking to get another striker in before the end of the month, but I'd tend to think we may well have to ship one or two out before then
  15. Thanks for that. As I said I suspected there was a few losses for him v Utd. A pretty accurate summary of him there too.
  16. Also, I have a suspicion Lewis Neilson's record vs Dundee United since leaving Tannadice can't be very good. I could spend a few hours checking but it's Saturday night and I can't be arsed
  17. Credit to the manager today. Thought he should have taken Stephenson off at half time as he was having a nightmare and he'd also been booked. But Goodwin showed faith in him and the lad had a good second half and scored. When Moult came on I imagine most of us were expecting to see VDS go off, but the move to those two up really paid off. They seemed to link up very well, and it's good to know we now have that as an option.
  18. What a watch that was tonight! German football really is the business
  19. Agreed, but in fairness to the original poster, I've read elsewhere that St. Johnstone is a "Must Win". Mental stuff!
  20. Newly promoted side, two games in, yet to be behind in a game, close to maximum points in both games.....and yet (granted on other platforms) moan ..moan ..moan
  21. Will be interesting to see how the Portugal sales go. I'm on 10 points and heading over to Zagreb match. Had rather thought that plenty folk will be skint / feeling a bit deflated post Euros and 10 points would be enough, but think Zagreb will be quite a smaller allocation than Lisbon. And if an allocation of 3100 or so still only guarantees tickets for those on 17+ points, I'm beginning to feel a bit anxious about my ticket prospects for Croatia.
  22. Will be interesting to see if he's in the B team on Tuesday If come the end of the transfer window he's still on our books and costing us a fortune every week, it'll be difficult to know what to do with him.
  23. After seeing a lot of on-line gnashing of teeth and general negativity in the run up to today's game, as is often the case, the doom-mongerers get it wrong. Obviously a bit under the cosh late in the game, but in general thought we were fine. Dundee were by a distance physically far superior to anything we faced last season but, particularly in the first half, we caused them a lot of problems. Too early to make judgements on the new guys but they all look promising Unsurprisingly didn't miss Watt or Middleton one bit
