Has anyone’s pre season predictions changed as some sides get towards the halfway point in their League campaigns ?
Will the fact those currently chasing Newton Stewart all have grass parks and the weather could play a big part as we approach the winter months ?
One things for sure they’ll undoubtedly be playing catch up games wise over the next few months but will it potentially have a detrimental affect or a galvanising one for most of this seasons title challengers ?
if nothing else it’s looking very competitive at the top which can only be good for the South !

Champions get the chance of promotion. If the individual leagues ever get their own promotion spot, they can decide how they want to do with it. While there's just the one spot, no champion should be lumped with an unnecessary play-off.
Fact is there wouldn't be this hand-wringing over best placed teams if it wasn't for the WoSFL failing to provide a licensed champion. If it hadn't been for Creetown getting their license this summer, no one would have been begging for 6th placed Newton Stewart to get a crack at the play-off.
That would certainly have spared Newton a torrid play off situation judging by last nights utter capitulation at Abbey Vale …………….ouch !

Talking of a licence; is there not a requirement to have disabled viewing facilities. I wasn't aware of seeing any at Castle Cary last night?
Yes

If Abbey Vale or Lochar win the league there won’t be a playoff. Linlithgow will go straight up unless Creetown win, then there will be a playoff.
Has this been confirmed and ratified by the S.F.A. are we aware ? Didn’t Beith say there had been a freeze on the application process somewhere !

Only 3 games in but what we thinking, 3 horse race this season between Saints, Threave and abbey vale?
surprised with reserves start especially to lochmaben, are they a different team this season?
Are we still thinking it’s a 3 horse race ? Looking very competitive and good to see a couple of Clubs from the West up there

With the season less than two weeks away now and teams at the end of their pre season games etc.. what are everyone’s predictions?
I believe Creetown will be dark horses this year, have signed some really good players.
Too early to say surely

Some good signings recently , especially for a couple of the Clubs in the West of the region ! Good luck to Tommy Goss at Queens , Iain Anderson at Dalbeattie and Sean McKenzie at Cumnock , all good players making a step up and rewarded for good form in the South.

Could the players that Eck’s played a blinder has quoted there be easily replaced with other south players?
They’re good players undoubtedly and would take a fair bit of replacing at Meadow Park. Threave certainly have a pull mind you as we’ve seen throughout the years

Really??? Any idea who has left?
Heard Scooby and Connor Jamieson to Nithsdale , Jake Gemmell to Saints and one of their better midfielders to Dalbeattie ( forgotten which one ) but I guess until there’s any confirmation they’ll still be ‘just rumours’

Threave and Nithsdale signing half the league apparently if you go by the rumours
Aren’t they just moving from the former to the latter apparently ? Threave losing big players last I heard

Sensible decision , far too many games too go for PPG in my opinion. There would’ve been many twists and turns , not all guaranteed wins the front runners would’ve assumed , a fair result

It has also been mentioned that Heston Rovers, Abbey Vale and Creetown are considering licencing and its' costs, practicalities etc.
Dev consideration is ‘free’ but the practicalities are far more expensive ! Time will tell though

There are few worst teams in league thin Saints Ym locher Newton Wigtown creetown least will no be in bottom 5 thats fur sure mon Saints
You’re having a laugh clearly Mr Kbt as Creetown , Wigtown and Newton hae all beaten your mob this season. I’d suggest you dinny set your bar too high then it won’t come as too much of a disappointment when your prediction falls as flat as yer team is currently playing. To quote weeredbook ‘they are not that good’ and that’s a compliment at the moment apparently

Stranraer v Bonnyton about 100One of their players claimed they were calling it 200 but I’d agree with you probably your estimate was far more realistic
