It'd be interesting to know what was going on in his life in that spell at Aberdeen. He certainly bucked the footballing trend by seeming to knock back both Sunderland and Rangers. Must have had his reasons.

However, observers considering following his example will note that he's ended up in a relatively shite job. It seems he made two bad career calls in hindsight. Other managers will have noted that.

Sunderland were a shambles and Rangers refused to match his Aberdeen salary.

His booking can leave a lot to be desired, but fair play to Tony Khan. Doubt anyone thought we'd ever see anyone outside of WWE hosting a stadium show, let alone one with an 81k attendance. Even the poorer AEW shows are very watchable, especially when compared to a 3-hour Raw etc.

He has made seemingly countless people fall back in love with wrestling. Hopefully this massive platform will be the catalyst of bigger and better things to come.

  3. Excellent coverage here by the BBC.

"St Mirren snatch a dramatic point in a five-goal thriller in Edinburgh"

Highlights end after Hibs equaliser and don't show St Mirren's winning goal, despite showing a graphic where full time score is shown as Hibernian 2-3 St Mirren and the scorers/times listed.

    Absolute shambles.

  4. Brutal game and result which emphasises the need for some quality signings, especially with euro groups in the near future. On that showing, If we draw any decent teams we could be in for some embarrassment.

Good to see Mikey Devlin back playing again, he and McKenna looked to be forming a cracking CB partnership for the Dons and Scotland before his injuries.

Hopefully Anderson makes a speedy recovery too, horrible collision.

Still surprised WWE haven’t done a Wembley show yet.

After Clash at the Castle they'll definitely run it at some point. This is wild. Anything less than a stellar build to All In could be catastrophic for AEW. Between this and Vince taking over again, AEW have a wee window to regain the momentum lost since All Out 2021. Fingers crossed they pull it off.
