  1. So if we conceded from that chance in the box when the defence doesn't deal with it properly, and Hamilton stays rooted on his line, would you not be annoyed aswell if he didn't come for the ball when it was 5 yards away? Players make bad decisions all the time, we know that, but we can surely get on at him when he doesn't bother coming out to collect a cross from 5 yards out that could well end up being a goal for Arbroath.

Be annoyed yeh but balling and shouting at players when mistakes are made doesn’t help one bit, we’re Dundee not Barcelona we can’t afford mistake free players so encourage rather than get on there backs.
  2. It was never a 6-2 game tonight the goal that was disallowed was on side, the corner for the 4th wasn’t a corner, 2 deflected goals. We may not have won the game but I don’t think Utd will get any luckier than they did tonight. Anyone who thought this season was going to be a cakewalk is mad and it’s far to early to get on the management and players backs. They need time and I hope they get it, at least it’s only 4 games in to the season and I’m sure it’ll get better I know there are pieces of the jigsaw missing & so does the manager.

  3. Yeah, I'm no sure how much you can really expect of a player that age no matter his talent. 17 year olds tend to be really inconsistent, especially ones who play the more 'flashy' positions, but still, it's another option at a position we're a bit lacking in so it's all good.
I think we need a #10/advanced midfielder type, cover at fullback, and definitely another keeper. The last is really the priority for me, because no matter how well Hamilton plays from one game to the next, I'd only finally be happy that he's not about to start chucking them in his own net every week again once he's been habitually solid for a good couple of seasons on the bounce. We don't have the time to wait for him to fail again.

Don’t think McPake is even considering a new keeper.
  4. The journalist running the story is a Saints fan who broke the story we wanted him. I'd say you're safe to get excited unless some late drama happens ala May to us, as I doubt he'd contradict himself like that for the crack.

I’m surprised the story has come out as it’s not the way Dundee have conducted signings lately, always fairly secretive except for the May deal I don’t think we really had a chance of May & I think it was put out to get other teams notice, I hope this is not the same. I also hope I’m totally wrong [emoji57]
  5. A better signing that both Shankland and May wouldve been, fair fucks for that.
Count us out of any chase for him, as we bizarrely decided that a player who wants out a relegated side, and a club close to the brink trying to bring money in whilst bringing the wage bill down, would accept a loan deal.
    Intensely jealous just now.

Don’t be jealous just yet so far we haven’t signed him & remember we have been favourites to sign May according to some media reports on more than one occasion !
  6. I’m expecting goals in this game as both Goalies haven’t had a good game coming into this one. Hamilton was shocking v Dunfermline and Doohan was poor v Stranraer and Morton. I’ll go for 2-2
Also shocking price that Dundee is charging. Really wish we could raise away prices when they come down to Somerset

Gee what a great idea [emoji849] it not the Dundee fans fault! We don’t like the prices any more than you
  7. DeeTV is utter fucking shit.
Worked perfectly until the teams came out, then goes to audio only.
WTF is the point of paying for this service, they just cant get it right, how hard can it be FFS.

You’re not missing much camera work is hopeless he keeps panning in ( fine) then out where quarter of the screen has the roof of the stand and on top of that the games rubbish. [emoji851]
  8. I find it strange that a lot of folk would have been happy to persevere with Jesse Curran on the basis that it’s step down in standard yet seem to have it in for Jack Hamilton despite the same thing being true.

I don’t think signing a new keeper at this stage will be the difference between us winning the league or not. Far more important that we find a striker.

I agree we need a striker but totally disagree about Hamilton and Curran the point has already been made about the difference of playing outfield or in goal in a lower league. We we’re told by hearts fans he would make mistakes and it only took one league game to prove them wright! Curran could make 5 mistakes a game and it wouldn’t cost us goals. I hope I’m proved wrong and Hamilton has a great season as I think he’s going to be our keeper but I certainly won’t be booing him or any other Dundee player like some others probably will.
