That being said, it has been a while since I've regretted going along to a match this season. Even when we're not exactly pretty, we're competitive and a lot of the games are hotly contested for large swathes, if not the full 90. Perhaps an attitude borne of low expectations, but a committed team in and around the top four with goals in them does for me.

Personally I can see it in this team that they could win the division if they cut out the silly stuff. A bit more concentration at the start and end of each half and there would be a few points gap between us and 2nd place at the moment.

The way I see it is that it's good to push the current squad (with maybe another midfielder) to realise their potential, and part of that is recognising what is going right while also not settling for "good enough". Maybe my expectations are too high!

  2. We need to keep winning to keep pace, and despite winning last week, and the draw with Falkirk beforehand, I worry that there's a touch of complacency or some other problem that is evidenced by often having 2 very different 45 minute performances per game lately.

We really need to go into this game and give 100% for 90 minutes to get the result we need from it.

  3. That Falkirk game was annoying. Good first half performance, which if continued into the 2nd half could have meant 3 points. Really poor 2nd half performance, seemed to have left the fight in the dressing room at half time.

    - Don't think Hutton could see the ball when Falkirk scored as there were 4 or 5 guys blocking his view.
    - Gallagher was not at the races at all in the 2nd half.
    - General lack of composure when it comes to moving the ball around, particularly away from defense.

I really hope they work on how to move as a team in order to pick up the ball from the route one big punt that keeps getting used, because losing the ball 95% of the time isn't particularly useful and it is a very weak area at the moment.

I don't agree that anyone running the club or on the pitch should have their feelings spared if they aren't putting in the type of effort whose sum total is the kind of performances (i.e. desire to win) we as paying customers expect to see on the park.

Last 3 weeks = great, loved it, theyve looked like a real team, should be commended for it, and I hope they can keep it up.

Prior to that = pretty much tepid garbage and rightly called out by many as being so.

Sounds like a few people at the Penny Cabs stadium have their heads up their backsides regarding fan relationship.

How are the two  young Accies players playing folks?

    Cheers for the replies.

Reilly was a headless chicken in the 1 match I saw him given serious game time but was ok for the last 10 mins he played against Dumbarton on saturday when he came on. Has a physical presence though if he can sort out his decision making.

McCann will end up somewhere better than either Airdrie or Hamilton if he continues to develop. Great attacking full back despite being a bit on the vertically challenged side. Would really like to see his loan extended till the end of the season.

The players spout some amount of shite when previewing the games. It’s just as bad as the shite Murray spouts after the games.

From that article: "Josh Kerr is looking to the future as Airdrie aim to get back to winning ways against Forfar Athletic."

I'd settle for him just passing to an Airdrie player instead of gifting away another goal.

  7. I don''t think we are going to have to worry about the rare possibility of an OF game when the team we have cant even beat the likes of Elgin.

We can all see what the club are attempting to do.

    - Grow a younger supporter base via things like the free season tickets for kids and the "family section".
    - Try to develop a longer term and more stable team by investing in youth players.

Sounds good, doesn't work when the current first team are pish, and you have high level staff members having a go at the fans, which only serves to drive away the adults who have been dragging their kids to the games.

I'd punt the DoF at this point, it's not as though his recruitment has been great at all on top of other things, and I would give Murray an ultimatum to turn things around by the new year. Wouldn't have given him a 2 year contract, but it's too late for that now I suppose.

  8. - I wish they would start the game playing as though they were chasing 2-0 down rather than actually go 2-0 down then have 45 minutes in which to chase the game.

    - Reilly is as good as a man down, send him back to hamilton, especially if we are paying anything for him. In fact, Hamilton should have to pay us to have him.

    - Roberts should be starting in midfield based on that display vs the rest of what we have seen so far this season, might actually be what's been missing.

    - I didn't see the equaliser, but from the 85+ minutes watched, McKay's long throws don't make up for the remainder of his abilities, and he needs to take a big part of the blame for the 2nd goal.

  9. I'm sure no one cares, but have been watching since the the start of the season, bought a season ticket this year and definitely have buyers remorse this afternoon, some notes:

    • Wasn't convinced by Hutton's positioning early in the season, but he has been getting better and better. hope whatever he had to go off with today doesn't keep him out long.
    • Losing far too many goals from standing back and ball watching rather than pressing opponents. Some completely avoidable soft goals being conceded, often very soon after kick offs, and I think today's could have been avoided today as well but will have to see the "highlights"...
    • As has been mentioned a ton of times on this thread, we need a target man with enough presence to keep hold of the ball. I'm sure Smith can run all day, but he is rarely going to do much with the ball against the half of the other team he is usually surrounded by, and I don't think I've actually seen Gallacher win a challenge.
    • This trying to draw other teams out and then counter attack approach is 80% useless. Passing it all the way back to the keeper trying to draw the other side forward is worthless when the opposition are ahead and don't need to chase the game. The only time it has worked this season that I can recall was the 2nd half vs Clyde. It is a complete and utter waste of time and frustrating to watch.
    • Further to this, the big punt forward is hopeless, because there is no one there to support the forwards, and posession is lost almost every single time.
    • I started going this season, not having been for a few years, but I can't remember watching an Airdrie side so utterly incapable of passing the ball to their own team or even keeping the ball on the ground.
    • Josh Kerr flatters to decieve, incredibly flaky with his distribution and it creates a lot of problems.
    • I wish Wedderburn was a bit more mobile than a traffic cone, as he has the best distribution in the team, but on balance Millar is the better player.
    • Craig Thomson looks like a decent support player, but he can't be the only guy who tries to run at the other team as he will and does get found out.
    • Would like to make more of McCann, but that means actually playing some sort of attacking football. Going a bit more defensive with Eckersley against stronger teams has some sort of logic I suppose.
    • Not enough players moving to help their teammates to find a pass, causes attacking to break down very quickly and is probably a big reason that we can't hold possession for any length of time.
    • Midfield is missing something fundamental.

Why pay for a lawyer when you can get trading standards involved?

I will look into it if it gets that far!

And if that doesn't work (it probably will) just represent yourself at the small claims court

I would have to be willing to take a hit on what the dealership i want to purchase a vehicle from offered me for my current car, as it was more than the 10k small claims limit

I purchased my car from Arnold Clark branch, Dunfermline in 2015, with the car I purchased a service plan and had the car serviced at Arnold Clark Sighthill in 2016.

In March of this year I checked my cars MOT history on the DVLA website as I was looking to sell the car, the millage was recorded as 61,846 instead of 6,501. This was a shock and we therefor called on the 27th of April to speak to the servicing dept at Sighthill and spoke to ---- she looked into our record and could see that this was your job number that had been entered instead of my mileage. She then said she would sort it out at her end.

Apparently there is no acceleration of complaints unless you go to a lawyer and they couldn't see what was wrong, it was just a mistake and they don't compensate for mistakes they make!!!!!!!!

Currently having a very similar situation with Arnold Clark where it turns out that they have fucked up not once, but twice on entering the mileage into DVLA.

I'm giving them a chance to speak to the dealership I am buying a new vehicle from and agree how its going to get sorted out. Failing that the next options they will be given are either they buy the old vehicle back from me at the cost the other dealership were going to, or else they will be hearing from my lawyer.
