Spot on! Clubs went through a lot of blood sweat and tears to get the SFA licence and now the big moment is shrouded in secrecyNot that many years since the 1st/2nd round draws were made a big deal. Not only warned well in advance, but had a couple of good trips to Buchanan Galleries, filmed for tv with the Cup, then Edinburgh Castle the next year. Poor stuff this.
Clubs could be posting on their social media and Web sites that the big Scottish Cup draw is happening, if we only knew when
These are the things that bring the punters in and can help clubs gain more sponsorship etc
Very poor show from the SFA5 -
Yeh definitely it should be one of the big moments of the season don't think it is too big a task for the SFA to let clubs know when the draw isHossy87 has links to Newton Stewart who will have been told when the draw would be. If they're saying it's today then it's a safe bet that it's happening today. Either way it has been poorly promoted by the SFA.0 -
Cheers for that had a look although still not conclusive. All we know is this weekBest to keep an eye on the main Scottish Cup thread in the cups forum:
Its something thousands of people will look forward to so I'm still not sure why no exact date apart from week beginning 9th Aug1 -
Is there a definite date this week for the draw last I seen said it will be in week beginning 9th Aug it seems a bit vague

Just shows how difficult it can be and how it can all fall apart if people don't come forward. Fingers crossed for WW I'm sure everyone from all across the football world hopes they get the help they needStressful times indeed. These guys work hard to keep things going and have kept churning away during COVID - new lights, ground improvements, sponsorship etc. Looks like the effort has taken its toll.
Hopefully they'll get the support the club needs.3 -
Great start for Blackburn well doneGoals in 87, 90 and 90+3 for a comeback win. 9pts out of 12, I'll take it.2 -
No the 8 defeats wasn't mentioned in the post I quoted thats what I was referring to when I said only half the story. In the interest of fair reporting I felt it was only right to balance it upIt was already mentioned but feel free tell us the other half of whatever story you are on about. Dunbar lost today but still a good start to the season.1 -
Only half the story maybe worth mentioning the 8 defeats in 13 games it took to reach 11 points last season11 points they got last season
This season they have beaten Sauchie 3-1 who they beat 2-0 last season. Lothian Th HV 3-1 who they beat 5-0 last season. Lost to Camelon same as last season and have beaten Broxburn who they lost to last season
So they are 3 points up....which is good considering the board sacked their manager on holiday by phone a week before the season claiming last season wasn't good enough and the overall progress of the squad over the summer.

A long hard season ahead its barely started I suspect teams like HoB Jeanfield LTHV etc will start climbing the table soon but we'll done to Blackburn, Crossgates, Dunbar & Tynecastle who have had good starts it certainly won't do them any harm to get some points on the board early

Dunbars average gate pre covid was 170, the new stand won't be facing west and the new manager wasn't who you thought it would be and that's just some of the stuff you have the wrong info about. You need a new mole or are you just someone with a chip on your shoulder making it up as you go alongI do know the difference between East and West but why bring me into this, for what it's worth, waste of time and money building a stand on someone else,s property. You hardly get 100 at a Dunbar game and now many are unhappy at recent changes so find the money and improve the team .1 -
Semi Finals tickets at Wembley are available now cheapest £165. Prices are way too high but suppose for a one off they aren't much different to cat 1 tickets at Hampden for group games. Not sure if it's public sale or just previous applicants

Perfect just registered and vaccines showing, glad I kept the letter cheers for that
Go to https://vacs.nhs.scot/csp
If you've forgotten your username recover it from here
https://vacs.nhs.scot/csp?id=recover_username
Once you're logged in you can see a record of your vaccine status.

I'm fully vaxxed but no idea at present how to provide proof of that for Wembley. It says you should have it on NHS app, I have NHS Protect Scotland app but can't see anything in it to provide proof of vaccine.Along with your negative test or fully vaxxed (14 days prior to attending) for Wembley
The other option is to have a test within 48 hours of entry time but shouldn't have to go through this if fully vaccinated. Any ideas anyone0 -
It has to be Tier 8 for newly accepted clubsI believe the feeling is existing clubs should get the chance of Premier and First places for 22/23 ahead of new members. Think WoS looking at doing similar.1 -
Always felt 4 relegated was harsh even when played over a full season. There was a scenario where 6 or 7 could have been relegated at one point. For me at least one or two of those relegation slots could have gone to a play off with whatever conference team was next in line.
EOS clearly stated its will be null & void if 50% not reached and this is now very likely. There are way too many problems and the easiest and probably fairest way out may be to bite the bullet and declare n & v.
The one that would cause an absolute firestorm would be to relegate four teams whilst not reaching the 50% required completion. There are too many complications there with some teams having played each other twice.
It's not practical to restart now so let's be sensible and fair, call call it null and void and regroup for next season hopefully starting in July3 -
Yeh you're right although the way it's playing out will take some sorting seems daft different leagues making it up as we go along. The SFA don't run the leagues.
East of Scotland have made the call already so if no change from SG by 6th April it will be null and void as it stands0 -
The whole thing is bizarre the SFA doing nothing as the leagues make their own individual decisions

It's looking more and more like null and void its just too complicated to try and continue and to be honest the appetite is not there from players, supporters, committees, management etc. Time for the eosfl to call it and let's all plan with confidence for next season, hopefully with covid restrictions gone and crowds allowed back in

Some teams have 8 or 9 to play but it may be irrelevant as stated by Burnieman as it would need the SG to allow games to continue without testing. It would also mean travel outwith boundaries, I think the seasons over unfortunatelyEvery team needs to play 50% of their games for PPG to take effect.
The most any team still needs to play to reach halfway is 7. At two games a week that is only four weeks. With three weeks for players to get fit to play that means we could resume training in the middle of May and still be finished for end of June.0 -
-
Reading that I just can't see us restarting without some form of testing. Can't see the SG taking the chance of thousands travelling around the regions before June

I'm thinking it will be wait and see or null and void it would be very difficult do give return dates as there is no clear path yet in ScotlandYes, that makes sense. It will be interesting to see what comes out of the SOS/WOS/EOS/SFA meeting today.0 -
There are probably too many complications now to continue. If outdoor sport allowed from end of March as in England, we could maybe have achieved 50% completion but our FM decided to be different, its now becoming farcical. Time for clarity for everyone, just call it a day and let the clubs plan ahead for next season and as Burnieman says early start in July with crowds back and hopefully a full and uninterrupted season
