I’ve been an Edusport member for well over a year now, made the trip to Annan several times last season as well as enjoying away trips to Kelty, East Kilbride and Cumbernauld Colts.
We currently have over 600 members worldwide and hope that can grow in the coming season.
Moving into new ground which will be ready for pre-season friendlies in a couple of weeks time and a new mobile phone app which will be ready by the end of July. Everything going on at the club is positive and can’t understand all the negativity towards what we are trying to achieve
Excellent use of the rules to get where you are now well done
Joining a poor South League to fast track promotion and with no play of a bye to LL truly a master stroke

When is the draw to be made ?

Sorry i missed Spartans,
Think the point being made was the core home fans as those figures include all those attending , therefore is not a true reflection of that individuals teams average home support
Regardless of that 7 teams are less than 100 average
I predict all teams in the EOS Premier will be above 100
just my opinion

Easily by a long long way ,,,,,,heard at least half the teams in Lowland barely have 40 fans at home and less away
so for money coming in especially wi all the local games u better get more bar staff in even i will be attending a few
Apart from Kelty, East Kilbride ,East Stirlinshire and now Bonnyrigg the crowds are very poor in the Lowland League
Apparently going by the figures posted on another thread at least 5 teams barely have 30 at home games and take little and in some cases no away fans to matches
just a fact not a judgement call on their status in the league as that is based on what they do on the park but from a commercial point of view Whitehill will reap the dividends on the EOS Premier Dvision and hopefully also make strides on the pitch as they kept their best couple of players and made some shrewd signings
As said exciting times indeed for all the teams and fans in this League

Marten i agree its worth the visit has to be one of the most welcoming grounds i visited last season
Despite their eventual demise Whitehill have amassed a surprisingly large squad for this season as well
In the EOS PREMIER which will be a very hard league and in my opinion probably harder than being in the Lowland
good luck to the Welfare

Any news about what's happening with WW after last night's LL agm?
Given the farce that has preceded i think you are being optimistic expecting any sort of update , they will no doubt delay until the day prior to the fixture release to avoid the flack
Either it stays as is ,,,,,,,,,, or u turn and let Bonnyrigg in,,,,,,,,,,,, as it should have been but having said no initially bit it is horrific and childish now that they will in my opinion do the u turn now

The league set up released by the eosfl suggests it’s not finalized
Yes i noted that which is bizarre at this stage , but its all quiet from the Lowland League site !!!
Whether its correct or not i think for the good of all just publish it Officially and move on
My only conclusion is that a legal intervention has been made by Bonnyrigg and the LL are sizing up their options based on the Legal aspects involved or
It could just be they just are not interested and will just publish the LL fixtures with the team in there be it WW/or Bonnyrigg ?

Does anyone actually think moving a Dalkeith Team that struggled in their conference finishing 8th !! to a League above and hoping it will work is not just a Very unfunny Joke on the Welfare !
From an outside point of view
If the Welfare Committee have given the Manager the permission and the money to sign what appears to be the entire Dalkeith team it can only be presumed they are happy with the direction the Club is taking
I would be somewhat shocked if as reported Dalkeith struggled in their conference then the only direction Welfare would appear to be heading next season is downward from what ever League the powers that be deem them to be in
BUT you never know

Big gamble for Welfare taking all those Dalkeith players that finished 8th in their League and hoping they will compete in either the LL or EOS next season
but good luck to the Welfare

Or a club is relegated from the spfl without the lowland champions joining the spfl.
I read it that Selkirk is filled by application regardless. Whitehill are replaced by Berwick as the “bottom” club are relegated to make space for the spfl club.
the bottom club is deemed as WW and relegated / replaced by EOS champion in this case there is none ?

While true, that was said, that was under the assumption that a licensed team won the EoS and could be promoted. As that's not the case, I think Whitehill would be safe through that means of relegation. However, Berwick coming down and Cove going up may be Whitehills misfortune.
I have no idea how the LL will handle it in the end, but they are generally a very well run league. My reading of it all is:
- Selkirk went bust, creating a vacancy
- LL confirmed that 15th would be considered "bottom" for relegation
- SFA and LL confirm you can't change rules mid season to stop 15 being considered bottom
- Returning to 16 teams would be done through application, which was advertised in March
- LL confirm relegated clubs can apply for any vacancy within 2 days of relegation (suggesting normal relegstion rules, for EoS/SoS>LL and importantly L2>LL apply)
With Bonnyrigg denied a licence, that means no standard promotion/relegation between EoS/SoS and LL.
Bottom Club (be that 16 in any other season, 15 this) is reprieved from relegation.
UNLESS the Highland champions win the playoff and a Lowland area club is relegated from league 2, in which case bottom Club (second bottom if an EoS/SoS champion was licenced) would be relegated in any other season, through the relegation rules.
I don't believe LL rules allow for Berwick, as the relegated league 2 club, to fill the vacancy created by Selkirk as Selkirk are not considered bottom (or second bottom). There is already a mechanism for relegating league 2 clubs. The vacancy is a separate matter (which the LL seemed to suggest themselves when advertising it)
Had Bonnyrigg got a licence and Whitehill sent that route, Dalbeattie would have gone as well to take in Berwick, but could have applied for the vacancy. When the LL said Dalbeattie wouldn't go down, I believe that they meant they would be accepted back through application as there's no normal season where 14th gets relegated.
Basically, I think relegation and promotion would happen as it normally would regardless of Selkirk, which created a vacancy to be filled by application.
Of course, Whitehill could apply for that vacancy and could well be accepted on that basis, but given cove are going to beat Berwick, if this were a normal season, Selkirk hadn't folfed and the SFA hadn't made an arse of the licencing process, both Selkirk and Whitehill would be getting relegated.
Berwick coming down if anything goes against Whitehills (legitimate up till that point) annoyance at 15th considered bottom.
Just my interpretation of the rules/situation, and absolutely nothing against Whitehill. The politics and mess of this is an issue completely outside of their control, their only issue was finishing bottom of the 15 teams.
- LL confirmed that 15th would be considered "bottom" for relegation in which case 14th would have to be classed as 2nd bottom and relegated by Berwick coming down ?
WW would then be saved as Bonnyrigg have no License ?

Threave Rovers were not relegated, the champion club that year did not have a license therefore there was no relegation. They didn't want to continue in the LL so resigned and rejoined the SOS.
The rules around promotion and relegation are known at the start of each season and have always been that relegation only happens if the champion club have a license.
Totally Agree

unless Bonnyrigg get a license ( as champions) ,,,,,,,,,,,then there will be no relegation as they cant be replaced by another team for the champions spot
just my view on the mine field of rules ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Whether or not Berwick lose to Cove and take up the last place in the LL this could rumble on all summer. This affects both Bonnyrigg and Whitehill if Berwick come down as there's not enough room in the LL for both of them and they need to have some idea what's happening next season.
Yet again poor WW have no idea what league they are in or not ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Nobody is doubting they earned promotion ,,,,,,,,,,,,,sadly the chances of the SFA changing their decision are slim at best
what i do not understand if it was a blanket rule no flood lights no entry ,,,why let them apply ?

And so it should be

just to Clarify,
its ok not to have a home pitch or fans and basic/poor facilities by just sharing but if you have your pitch and ambition you cant get in ?
