Been in the juniors since I was 18. Two footed and can play anywhere on park. Dabbled in and out of the juniors the last few years due to injuries playing up and work. Latest club being Blantyre Vics back end of last season. Just looking for a team to build on my fitness levels, try and lose a few stone and then take it from there.

cracking  big player when he was at lanark,  well worth a gamble  ,if yi get the big man fit you've  got a player  there , dont think  jacks  that old

Well beaten to day by a very impressive Blantyre team. Being honest i think that is the best anyone has played against us this season. If the Vics can keep that level of performance up i reckon they are in with a shout of promotion.

As for Arthurlie, we are crap, we are whipping boys.  Dunky please just go. You are doing nothing for our team.  Glasgowtaxi, lets hear you defend this run of form. I heard today there was a midweek vote of confidence for the manager and he has strong support on the committee.  Christ almighty. Why ?

lam a lanark  supp/ but I like to take different  games  in  / i  was at silverburn  / managed to see 2md Half / Arthurlie  goalie  excellent/ blantyre  looked abit  quicke  all over park /

    No you are not correct.

He brought Lok back to life by immediate promotion after the legacy managers left us in the shit.

He got us to the Scottish Cup final in a game I am sure we would have won if extra time had been played but lost on the lottery of penalties.

He built us up as far as he could and most Lok fans really appreciated that.

    happy  New year Tony

Season over before Christmas, team going nowhere and I suppose the only consolation is that they are unlikely to get relegated.  The team have lost 8 out of 17 league matches so far, which is a dreadful performance.  I have heard that 'Tiger' has also left the club

This season has been an unmitigated disaster for the club and I wonder where they are going to end up, as there doesn't seem to be any plan in place to progress the club.

Quick and genuine question for Glasgow Taxi, is the Arthurlie budget higher than Neilston's or Blantyre's?

I know  a player  at  blantyre  who gets £30 after tax , couldn't  tell yi what  the rest of the players  are on

Great to see your obsession with the Cairn continues from the TMan days JC 🤫 Remember that one 🤭

For the record and your memory we last parted company with a manger in 2016

Cairn have done no bad since then

Back to back promotions League title 1/4Final of the Scottish all thanks to Davy Jamie and the players that stuck around in 2016 to see it through.

Along with a committee who want to Drive the newest club in the Juniors forward and are not afraid to make the tough and difficult calls.

Stick to chasing 🦊 holes and pushing  The  Cairn You Tube views up it’s much appreciated and keeps the 🤑 rolling in filling the coffers.

oh dear , not much love lost there

Thistle were lucky the players and management stayed until the end of the season / big sinky deserves great credit for holding things together , or this shambles would have started  last season . Players sign a contract and this has to be  honored  it wasnt, but players still played on for nothing . the attitude towards players made matters worse , no thanks/ no money /sinky leaving was the last straw, something seriously wrong at the club at the moment

Read the club statement on their website, all players contracts were honoured,so I don't know who is loading your gun

I know different , if your going to run the club like a pub team ,you's deserve  to be in the postion you's  are  in , sad days indeed at the thistle

Thats not what is being claimed, the amount is irrelevant. What is being claimed is that the players were not being paid, at least until the season end. What is beyond dispute is that a serious chasm developed between the officials and the playing staff / management.  Because of the situation we now have sides taking a pop at one another- see our website & social media.

Totally unheard of in our history, we now have a group of ex-players who unlike their predecessors ( many distinguished names amongst them ) do not revere our cherished colours.

All ex-players and mangers should be thanked & praised.

    Terrible.

Just read the statement. Running a club It’s a tougher job than most of us could imagine. The incumbent committee can be criticised for some decisions but not for their commitment to the club. They need help not continual criticism, I’ve visited Gasworks Park on numerous occasions and never seen a victory for the team I’ve supported but I’ve always enjoyed my visits. I hope they get through this malaise as 140 years of history can’t be lost.

We will get through it,and hopefully the statement will put things to bed like all the negative comments

not  negative  comments  mate  any post ive put  on are 100%  truthfull  theres a difference / not one person said otherwise , about what ive said , the silence on  comments  said it all. /  its not a witch hunt , its just stating facts/ People  thats  made  a total mess of running the club  getting sympathy of people abit rich ,

The players had contracts so all monies were paid in full, now if payments were late maybe that's why they weren't happy,so because of the bad winter we had last season probably no money was coming in,fundraisers were done to enhance the income but if people don't support them there is not a lot the club can do,so maybe a wee bit of come and go from the players to help alleviate the situation would've helped, instead of putting the club under pressure to pay their wages
Now tis is only my opinion

abit  of spin there mate , any of the thistle  players that were there last year  weren't  paid  for months, and when they rightly  asked about  there wages  were met with the attitude  if you don't  like it go . other clubs wer struggling  as well but didn't  treat there players in that fashion. big sinky  wasn't getting paid  either  and the players  only hung about  because  he's a very decent  guy  and  the players  didnt  want  to let him down/ Is it any wonder  the full team left , afraid  some  at  the the thistle  dont  want to take any responsibility  for this  mess they have caused,  and just  want to bury there heads  in the sand  , I feel really  sorry for the  new manager  what chance has he got  with the club been run in this way

Questions still remain- why did we lose a full team?  Something very, very wrong.  The Gow signed 5 of them  and ae in the Sectional Cup Final. In years past, we were in that final frequently. I believe the pool of players we had were better than showed.
Given their loss, what plan was put in place? Why are we persevering with a failed poiicy?  Are we really prepared for weekly hammerings ? Does nobody comprehend the dangers?
A 140 -year history reduced to a laughing stock?

If you are a season ticket holder these questions can be asked at the AGM,hopefully the committee will gladly provide you with these answers

I've  said in a previous  post  that players  weren't  getting  paid  thats why they left its as simple as that, Did roy  gibson  not  help the club  out with the money  side  of things?

Entitled to an opinion you are.

The committee is letting the club and it’s supporters down. Surely as custodians of the club they should be stabilising things and keep them so going forward until eventually the next generation take over. But as things are going just now there won’t be much left to handover. Your club is in free fall.

Im not doubting Dereks pedigree as a player. But sadly good players don’t necessarily make good managers. I suspect you could pick a team on a Saturday and the results wouldn’t be any worse.

So  in my opinion it’s time for a change. There’s decent idle managers out there with experience and contacts that’ll at least steady the ship before the supporters get fed up and slowly start moving on. What young person wants to go and watch that every week.

dont know  if its a coincidence  or not , but things seemed  to take a dip when  roy Peters  ( think thats his name) stepped  down from his role at the club , dont really know only asking the question
