No if you're last you have had a poor season and you are penalised appropriately by whatever the rules say. The LL/HL signed up to those rules and were grateful that the SPFL clubs agreed to such an arrangement as before they had little or no chance of getting into the SPFL. If they can strengthen the LL/HL over time in terms of clubs, finance, sponsors, etc., then they can try and negotiate a change in the arrangements with some basis.
Last place club should go down automatically, happens in every other league why not here, Old story turkeys and Xmas etc, shite clubs like Cowdenbeath Berwick Albion are dying on there feet f**k of and let new bold in1 -

How are Cove and different to Elgin (granted Elgin’s ground is class) or Peterhead? ‘Lego ground’ is also very harsh on all the ex junior sides that are on the march up the pyramid.

Even with the benefit of the East Junior 'diehards' (and I would've counted myself among them) testing the waters for them and coming out enthralled with life in the EoS they're fighting it!
That said they're moving in under the West Junior guys who control it at the moment going in frantically defending their empire as opposed to the fresh start we got in the East I suppose.

Cause they're not ambitious, though probably as much as say Albion Rovers Cowdenbeath or Berwick who have dossed around in the so called senior league for years, next few years will sort that out when ultimately the three mentioned will be replaced by Kelty, Linlithgow, Penicuik etc.0 -

Give me a dump like Central Park, Shielfield, Cliftonhill over nonentities like Cove, Spartans, EK etc. Grounds in the middle of no where, no character and not a pub in sight.
Perennial shit teams like Cowdenbeath and Berwick should be replaced by ambitious non league clubs, followed very closely by smart asses like you fella0 -
Robbie was doing well in the non leagues as well and both him and Harvey probably had/have comparable budgets to Berwick "down" there. Its hard situation for Berwick to be in they have to get the right man in or they could well be goosed. Problem is your got the likes of Stirling also looking for a part time manager which would be a more attractive gig at the moment.
I'm like Brazilianlex I wouldn't really want any of the SPFL sides to drop out having gone through the near experience in the last 2 years, Cowden and Berwick fans have their banter between them but I would much rather travel twice a season to Shielfield than some soulless place like EK or Cove.
Your saying there's a soul at Central Park, [emoji23]rarely been to a more soul LESS venue, bottom team should go down by right, then Cowdenbeath would have gone.
