  1. The  AFYFC  League cup group stages Kicked of today, and Kelty Hearts under 17's went head to head with Letham Tangerines at NCP . The boys got of to a sluggish start conceding after 4 mins, but rallied to make it 3-1 at half time,  Second half they seemed to find a bit of momentum, and scored a further 7, although the afyfc website only ever put up a maximum of 9 !!! It's good to see quality players coming through the ranks, certainly bodes well for the future.

Is the young lad Woodsy still with the Under 20s? He looked a real prospect so was surprised not to see him in the group that signed pro terms?

I believe he's been out for 4/5 weeks after getting injured in first team game, has just had op ,   I believe Ligament damage as already mentioned.

That was one of the best games I've seen in a long time. You wouldn't think from watching Kelty that they hand't been training together long, it was a great performance and the 4th goal in particular was a belter. It was great to hear the lads buzzing as they went into the dressing room at the end.

I think they were buzzing as they found out there was Pizza waiting for them in the dressing room ! Was speaking to Thomas Courts after the game, and he was really pleased, some cracking players coming through the ranks.  my favourite goal was the lob from distance on the goalkeeper, although the free kick wasn't to shabby.

  4. under17's headed for  King George the V park to play Leven fc , for some of the boys this was the 3rd game in a week, so a little leg weary, however they managed a 4-1 win, 2-0 at half time, then made a few changes giving some of the not so established players a run out.  An escape from the league duty next week with a trip to Dundee in the Scottish cup against Dryburgh Athletic.  :thumsup2

  5. Well Heading up for the under 17's match last night, noticed the new fancy Electronic Turnstiles :thumsup2The boys played the last of the mid week games for a while last night against Pitreavie Pumas,  they have been playing 2 games a week, up to this point.  Some of the boys looking a bit tired that have been selected to train with the under 20's in readiness for Fridays Scottish FA Youth Cup.  However although a scrappy game, the boys managed a 2-0 win .  boys heading up tonight for the large community club Photoshoot with every age group, including Women's Team, under20's and First Team, after that the under20's and 17's will train for match tomorrow. Get along tomorrow if you can:thumsup2

  6. Under17's played the last of the run of 3 away games against Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts at Dalgety Bay this morning .  Again the boys playing some lovely stuff, but just seemed a bit Lethargic at times. Boys went in front in about 15 mins, then 10 mins from the end of the first half went to sleep at a corner , resulting in the half time score 1-1. Second half boys played much better,  scoring a further 2 goals without reply.  No Let up though, back to NCP  ( Grass pitch at side) , on Wednesday for game against Pitreavie Pumas 6.30 KO.:thumsup2

It’s went from trashing changing rooms to a door being kicked all in the space of a few hours. I’ve already asked ‘gogsy’ to provide any evidence with regard to ‘trashed’ changing rooms and I’ll take it up with the staff and players but until then don’t badmouth our team because your disappointed yous threw away a 3 goal lead.

The shower door that is part of the changing room is damaged which in turn looked a mess , i'm sure you will get a detailed summary in due course.

Our first 20's game at NCP and it was a belter .. a good crowd enjoyed the game but aftermath was not to clever, Tranent management team had no control over their players and they will be hearing from us for the damage to dressing rooms and the mess left was not to professional but we are learning ..well done our team ...onwards and upwards

The changing rooms were a mess, and the doors have been booted , The match was  certainly a learning curve for the boys. I counted 10 yellow including the goalie.
