looked it up yeah scored a freekick against Hamilton absolute peach, never really did much else after then Tomset was the guy everyone remembers if i recall
I think people are looking way too into this I think someone said it earlier but I reckon in his contract Brown has a clause where if a premiership club shows interest in him he’s free to at least have talks with them and that he did that with St Johnstone and felt he was better staying at Ayr
that being said did toy about with a 4-2-3-1 only assumed Rus would be back into the team but thought a line up like this against Morton
Bench: McIntyre, Musonda, Howley, Walker, Bavidge, McKenzie, Hislop
i think this as well, McKenzie physical enough to play the role Dowds does but obviously the finishing/footballing ability is what lacks there, as for Bavidge he's just a different option but more of a prospect then an actual first teamer, i think it really depends on who we are playing, i'd argue McKenzie might be better starting against Falkirk and Livi in the coming weeks just for his fitness and running then you can bring on Bavidge to run at the tired defence
The issue I see with Oakley and Adeloye is I think they are too similar, both aren’t really 90 minute players especially considering how Brown wants his players constantly moving , Oakley can be if he conserves his energy but most times Oakley is getting subbed off meanwhile Adeloye never has been a runner he would work better playing alongside Dowds then Oakley
Bavidge was always going to be a development thing, he was probably going to be 3rd choice while likely starting in cup games etc, but now he’s being thrusted into the starting 11 and his only competition is McKenzie who well is McKenzie, I’m willing to give Bavidge another chance against Morton and see how he fares before deciding on if he’s good enough or not
